Adder114 Posted October 19, 2018 Share Posted October 19, 2018 Is anyone else having this problem too? I'm unable to use anything from my gear or emote wheel with a controller. I was able to yesterday, but now I can't do anything. I can open the wheels but not select something, doing it with mouse and keyboard works fine but nothing else does. BRT_LovesSushi Posted October 19, 2018 Share Posted October 19, 2018 Yep, can’t use the gear wheel or chat with a DS4 - playing through the Steam version, haven’t tried launching for Big Picture more yet. As of now I can type out messages on the keyboard but can’t send them via the keyboard or controller, and I can’t select anything from the gear wheel in game. Xenoarchangel Posted October 19, 2018 Author Share Posted October 19, 2018 (edited) Day 7 10/19/18 still no response from DE in any form about repairing controllers we have a multitude of issues ranging from key mapping broken gear wheel operator controls ect. the entire key mapping defaults and there is no way to rekeymap at all. Custom controller mapping is broken to a point where it's basically unusable. video provided by another community member I have posted here made a thread listing all the threads posted in relation to controller issues posted to the warframe facebook twitter and spammed the prime time twitch chat tagged DE staff and even went as far as to contact a community staff member on discord and still have no response and I know for a fact that a moderator for the forums has seen my threads because they edited the name of my threads to remove the "*Megathread*" word from the title 3 times which I changed back to purposely get them to post at least a warning to not use the word in the title and they just gave up changing it without a post. so now lets do this again [DE]Rebecca, [DE]Drew, [DE]Danielle, [DE]Megan, [DE]Glen, [DE]Taylor, [DE]Steve [DE]Xander or any mod of this forum please respond with anything to let us your community know you are aware of this issue Edited October 19, 2018 by Xenoarchangel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Communications, friends and clan, nothing pop up when selected a name with controller. Turn off big picture mode to allow mouse to work here. This bug was there for many months. Still not fixed. 2. Recently, gear menu will not work with steam big picture mode. Turn off big picture mode to get this to work on controller. More bugs: 3. Missing "Look" in steam controller settings, decoration. The steam default controls is "Mouse Move" that causes a problem showing keyboard buttons every time I try to decorate. 4. I'd like to point out: a number of these issues have to do with the Steam controller overlay defaulting to the "official" Warframe controller config. Specifically, this is supposed to be a smart config tying buttons directly to in-game actions. The drawback to that is, if one specific action or mode hasn't been added, there's nothing you can do. I've found this problematic with things like opening player profiles, trade mode being completely unusable, and a few others that I got really sick of. The solution to THOSE issues, rather than turning off the overlay, can be to change your controller config. If you select a different configuration, specifically the general controller "template", it passes the buttons in to Warframe as normal controller buttons, which then get managed by the in-game mapping. The gear wheel problem, however, is definitely a new problem introduced by the recent update. Initially, the gear wheel still worked, but things like the scanner wouldn't actually function most of the time (i.e. the scanner overlay and related scanning functionality just wouldn't happen). Tried general controller, it appears to fix some problems but not all. Still have gear wheel problem not working at all. Ayatan Treasures controller button to "Auto Install" still fails. Steam's big picture mode worsened to not being able to use mouse to click on anything at the bottom right of menu, like "Auto install". It is just easier to avoid most problems by turning off big picture mode. Then there are problems with in-game controller mappings. 1. Assign L2 (Left Trigger) to jump, move up. Archwing will then move up extremely slowly and fails to use afterburners. 2. When controller icon set is set to PlayStation 4, missing a button in game's customize controller. theslynx Posted October 22, 2018 Share Posted October 22, 2018 +1 for controllers being all sorts of messed up in recent updates (melee mode messed up, gear selection impossible, random functions not working, etc.). Really would like a fix or some communication about the issues being at least thoroughly investigated. The controller has been detected, and when a button is pressed, prompts for PC controls in the menu switch to Xbox prompts. However, button presses are unable to go to a new menu or perform any actions in game. The only possible action was to move the cursor in menu options using the left control stick. The left control stick was unable to move the character or perform any other action outside of menus. I have currently tried: Reinstalling Warframe. Deleting all local user data, settings. Wandrecanada Posted November 22, 2018 Share Posted November 22, 2018 Just in case this was missed it appears fishing in Orb Vallis with controller is broken. When controller inputs are detected the fishing interface is removed so you cannot use the shockpulse to catch fish. The meter does not appear so unless you are a good guesser you will lose the fish. This also means you cannot throw bait or dyes using the fishing interface either.
