Index stuck after host migration

Hey Tenno

I started a help ticket about this, but has anyone else been running a medium risk, public match on the Index, then between matches a host migration takes place and then everything gets stuck. The camera only shows the scoreboard and that's it. The only button that works is the PS4 button so I go and shut down then restart Warframe. Needless to say my winnings are gone at this point so that's fun. Anyone else having problems with the Index?

I have encounter this in the index and in other places as well when host changes on pc.

If nothing else, I could do the Index on Solo, but it's not as fun.

Encountered this problem few times on High Risk, PC. Once I was in group of two people including me, both in the same statement as was OP. Usually I stay alone, but that time the other person left first and I was able to finish properly.

+1 it gets stuck everytime the host changes (It happened to me 3 times in a row today)

This is the reason why I would host an index myself or just solo.  you could recruit people in the recruit channel, 3 people is enough to ensure you are the host. Never trust public matchup

Confirmed still happening. XD Got a credit booster for my daily login, decided to make the most of it in the hour before I have to take off. Got to round 4, high risk. Welp, there go my two million creds.

Can also confirm. Esc menu didn't work, chat didn't work, basically nothing worked. Even after dying, you don't respawn and you're stuck watching your dead warframe.

Had to Alt+F4. Of course I lost 2 rounds worth of High risk rewards.

Absolutely

Warframe is a Live Service game, that means they need to constantly churn out "new content" to draw players and make money.

Index is years old and stale, it just doesn't make money the same way that Khora Prime Access Pack + Cosmetics do.

and their staff is tiny, can't afford to split efforts between old and new stuff.

host migration jankiness is a scourge in warframe that they cant fix without a major overhaul to the entire game. the issue is that host migration exists...not that theres something wrong with it. the fundamental mechanic is the issue here, not a problem with it per se. the fact that they cant fix it is also the reason they ignore it. i certainly wouldnt hold my breath waiting for a fix....i dont think anyone is even looking at the problem...let alone working on a fix for it....which would just be moving the game to dedicated servers.
