Epic Valkyr Melee Theory

Question

OVER 150k damage per strike

 

THIS THEORY WILL BLOW YOUR MIND

 

So valkyr is prefered melee warframe with her huge attack speed capabilities.

however in this build i am going to propose a theory for late game valkyr melee but instead of increasing the attack speed you decrease it 

 

Let me explain

 

for one you will constantly be in hysteria  so u will have 300 dmg equally divided between impact slash and puncture

hysteria also has a crit chance of 25 with a 3.0 multiplier 

it does a 4.0 multiplier of physical base damage multiplier from your melee wep

And u can channel while in hysteria giving you and extra 50 percent damage

 

the most important step is her next ability paralysis

has a 5 energy cost drains her sheilds and stuns the enemy and being under hysteria your sheilds wont go down and yes you can cast this ability while in hysteria 

but during the stun you can deal stealth attacks stealth attacks gives you 4.0 dmg multiplier

and this skill has 4.0 stealth damage multiplier so not only do you get the 4.0 damage multiple from stealth but also another 4.0 multiplier with equates to a total of 4.0 x 4.0=16.0 damage multiplier with your melee( mind blowing)

now the stealth damage multipliers are affected by power strenght( booom)

with bling rage r7 and max intensify the stealth damage the stealth damage multipliers increases to 8.0

at the end the total damage equates to 4.0 x 8.0 = 32.0 damage multiplier

 

Your melee wep is the most important

 

 NO DUAL ICHORS OR ZORENS we will constantly be using hysteria rendering them useless

the wep of choice is Dragon nikana because hysteria does a 4.0 multiplier of physical base damage multiplier from your melee wepon

since dual ichors dont have any its toxin damage it gets no benefit from the 4.0 damage mulitplier

And Dragon nikana has the highest base damage (the math will come later)

 

the mods that go on the dragon nikana are critical 

organ shatter ,true steel, berserker, 

 

the chanelling damage increasing mods may or may not affect the channelling in hysteria more testing needed

but if youre wondering wut chanelling mods to add 

add killing blow corrupt charge refliex coil and focus energy 

because elemental melee mods wont affect chanelling

 

But always add in reflex coil and focus energy regardless the of corrupt charge because it will help the efficiency of chanelling while in hysteria

 

AND NoW the math

 

so 5.6 x  crit dmg multiplier

 

300 base damage 

along with 4.0 x 85 = 340

adding to a total of 640 dmg

now the crit proc 

which gives you 5.6 x 640 = 3584 dmg

 

now while in hysteri,activate paralysis(power build)

giving you a 32.0 damage multiplier with r7 blind rage

 

so giving you a total damage of 3584 x 32.0 = 114688 damage per strike in hysteria insane

now if we add in the chanelling giving you another 50 percent damage increas

 

the final damage strike equates to 114688 + 57344 (50 percent of 114688) = 172032 damage per fricking strike

yes it does do stealth finishers yes unfortunately slows valkyr

 

so what does the warframe community think of my ideas i might be little off in the math in the fact of different factions and stuff  but every attack shoud do

OVER 150k damage per strike

 

insane shooting 75 boltor prime bullets for one stike

 

so what you guys think of my theory i appreciate everything even hate comments so have fun

Ah okay... so if you want to be a minmaxer, it's "bad". Good, because I hate that way of thinking.

 

I'll just keep switching out Ichors with Kogake with Venka because they're fun to me. Really, other than the damage I think D.Nikana is one of the more boring weapons in the game, stances and all. I was sooo happy when I got Decisive Judgement. Immediately went to craft the original Nikana. Slapped it on, went to go hand Vor his &#!, and was instantly disappointed. Eventually got Tranquil Cleave. Was much less disappointed but still...just not a very fun weapon imo.

Ichors are still close to optimal. They're more spiky than, say, a dragon nikana, but they will bring the pain. The main thing is the crit multiplier and crit rate.

 

Killing lvl100 enemies isn't difficult. It's unfortunate they no longer benefit Valk's claws with attack speed, but hysteria damage with the combo system is very high without additional speed (and still benefits from warcry).  

 

Outside of hysteria, they do vicious damage and leverage berserker and warcry to truly amazing levels of attack speed. Uptime on berserker is very good.

 

At least with how things look like they're working now, you aren't channeled into just two, maybe three, sets of weapons.

Actually, I updated it for U14. The problem with Hysteria is that it was broken between U13-14; it wasn't getting any contribution from power strength or +melee damage mods like Pressure Point or Steel Charge. It was fixed in U14; the only thing I'm not certain about is the 1.75x modifier to weapon contribution, that might be gone. Even removing it DN gets a little more damage. The biggest benefit is that the damage is more regular - higher base and smaller crits, so you can get into a rythym of how many hits per mob, etc.

 

So...does his theory work or not?

No. Hes just making stuff up completely. Stealth modifier doesn't happen twice, and isn't affected by power strength. Hysteria doesn't add 4x melee damage with R7 BR (although it does get 4.0075x iirc if the 1.75 is still there with max BR)

Wait, so Ichors is now bad for Valkyr?

 

 

...erf. I don't want to be yet another person running around with D.Katana. It's steadily becoming the Melee 2.0 version of Galatine.

 

The melee 2.0 version of Galatine is Clashing Forest + Bo Prime.

So exaclty what is the best mod setup for the melee weapon on the valk? 

 

I have read a few guides now but they all have wildly different ideas what mods to use on the weapon.

 

Best weapon I got, sadly, is the D. katana but I have no clue how to mod it for valk.

 

Some claim elemental effects is the way to go then others say differently...

Hysteria 2.0

 

Hysteria only scales on Blind Rage, Intensify, Steel Charge, Pressure Point and Spoiled Strike.

Hysteria isn't affected by Crit Chance/Damage from mods like True Steel/Organ Shatter and weapons like Dual Ichor and Dual Zoren.

Hysteria isn't affected by Bonus Elemental Damage from mods and weapons like Serro, Dual Ichor, Prova Vandal etc.

Hysteria now ignores attack speed increase/decrease from mods like Fury and Spoiled Strike. How about berserker stacks gained before using Hysteria?

Hysteria isn't affected by Channeling efficiency and Channeling damage mods.

Hysteria ignores reach mod.

 

someone confirm those so we won't be confused anymore w/ this unclear Hysteria changes and problems.

Hysteria damage = 300 + weapon contribution. Weapon contribution scales with power strength and melee damage as separate modifiers.

 

Weapons with innate elemental base work exactly the same as IPS weapons, no special relations there.

 

Elements, IPS mods, Bane mods, Reach etc have no effect on Hysteria damage.

 

Hysteria can crit in two ways; the ability can crit for 2x at around 25%, and the equipped melee weapon can cause a crit, @ w.e the weapons crit stats are. The weapon crit is affected by Pressure Point and Organ Shatter.

 

Attack Speed of the weapons and mods is ignored. Zerker stacks will carry over from before but fall off quickly compared to the full length so its not that significant.

 

I have no idea how channeling mods affect Hysteria (when channeling, obviously). Some testing is required here.

Is hysteria effected by crit mods?

Does melee channeling work in Hysteria?

What is the method to channel while in hysteria if it does?

 

It's really difficult to tell if hysteria + channeling is working or not since there is no true combat log for me to check the numbers. Basically with all the spam, effects, and the numbers for melee not really showing up to well it's hard to confirm any this. :S

 

Lastly, due to hysteria effects it's near impossible to tell if I am in channel mode or not; I really wish there was some sort on/off indication in the UI. There does not seem to be an indication other than the weapon slightly glows which while in hysteria tends to obscure it unless I am missing some thing.

 

p.s. I look over the wiki and that makes me even more confused.
