It doesn't necessarily need to hail from 2000's AD Earth. The inspiration is clearly there however. Why wouldn't it be? But it also looks like larger metal plates with an organic touch, as opposed to thin strips of chiton. At the very a least, this may be a sign that new skins from DE won't just be the base skin with pretty (or non sensical) patterns all over it. Looking forward to buying it even though I don't own a Nyx...maybe I should now.
