Taking in a bit more of the context, "the first of a very limited series of 'Umbra' gear", my thought is not that the availablility of Umbra gear will be limited but rather the variety of Umbra gear in the series. Still, it's not my intent my to denigrate the conversation. More... that I think it's unfortunate how silent they've been on official details for the Western release. we speculate and discuss and try to rationalize the concept and maybe even give "DE this is a hint" some food for thought or concpets they might want to explore as this does centralize many individuals views and desires in what they desire or want to see from the umbra frames. example a big one for the scarf/loincloth is it should be an AUXILIARY at the very least. as some have pointed out they dislike it and would rather not have it visible, while others are indifferent or like myself, like it as is. but toggleable is a desired aspect of that cosmetic discussing mechanics and lore also may give de some inspiration and help them further develop it beyond our hopes/dreams its all up into the air, but there is a serious desire for it to be here. and i can only hope they give us a tidbit or scraps of info to consolidate some of our rationalization and concepts Taking in a bit more of the context, "the first of a very limited series of 'Umbra' gear", my thought is not that the availablility of Umbra gear will be limited but rather the variety of Umbra gear in the series. Basicly, we can expect every frame to get a Prime (eventually) but we wont get an Umbra version of everything, is how I read that. this which would lead me otherwise to: how many ways to power up a frame with its weapons do we have now ? mods, arcane-helmets, arcane 2, focus ... thats finally a lot and too much for my taste, 70 to 80 % of the mods are useful for levelling and thats it then we have the 4 or more special powers of the frames and the different qualities of weapons, now, for what, 3 enemy types ... etc that should be changed first then the OP-stuff which is given allready, i would hurry up to give us CONTENT (races, planets and its system) instead of screwing around another year with 1 or 2 updates for ? just a wish, a innocent wish from a warframe-lover ... Basicly, we can expect every frame to get a Prime (eventually) but we wont get an Umbra version of everything, is how I read that.I actually considered the option already: as I said they just stated it'll be limited; in Warframe/game case when something is limited it means either that it's time limited or it has a few copies available(like promo codes). Dunno what else "limited" could mean, honestly. Maybe it's gameplay wise, meaning that only few frames will have this feature. Though, if you ask me it would be a bit risky as they would basically disappoint all the fans of the non Umbraed frames, that would most likely keep on shouting to have an Umbra version. On the other side, having another full series of premium versions it's a bit insane, considering they're already releasing more standard frames than Primes(end of last year releases and the current PA delay enforce the gap). If I remember correctly they asked on one of the "Community hot topics" if we wanted Umbra to become a series, but I never checked the results.. Hopefully we'll learn something. Also that post is from ChangYou, and I will never ever trust them for obvious reasons. In case you don't know, ChangYou is known for being notoriously shady and have stolen fanart off of the internet, claiming it is theirs and creating false lore for Warframe. I think it would be much more interesting if Umbra 'frames acted as a sort of twisted sidegrade to Primes, not as a straight upgrade. Overall, comparable in power but less balanced in that power, with advanced stats in some areas, and relative deficiencies in others. More specialised, more tricksy to use correctly, but overwhelming powerful in their area of expertise. Then again, I've consistently been quite vocal in my scepticism of the idea that Umbra will just straight up be the most powerful Warframe in the game.
