  1. Apparently the original plan was to have twice as many spirals as we ended up getting, but it got cut down to the five we have in order to make actually releasing Duviri within the year feasible. While I fully believe that Despair is just a dev tool as others have said, as far as I'm aware there isn't anything stopping them from adding more spirals at some point in the future.
  2. Nope, just basic modding. If it required anything beyond that I would have mentioned in the post. Here's the build: Overextended gets you up to 342 degrees by itself, Cunning drift gives the extra boost needed for full radial coverage. Bear in mind, I'm not making any claims that this is a good setup (the empty mod slot should make it abundantly clear that it isn't), it's just the one I use with Baruuk and it happened to have what you were looking for.
  3. Personally, I think quick shot would feel better if there was a window after firing where you could follow up with subsequent shots, rather than having to wait for what feels like an arbitrary delay.
  4. In this very thread/ Which you would already know/ If you had read it/ Behold, a soulslike: Z targeting: Check Dodging with I-frames: Check Parry Windows: Check Enemies with Windup attacks that require appropriate actions to dodge or counter: Check Different weapon types that all use unique animations, thus all having different forms of parry windows: Check Hyper armour: Check and Mate.
  5. Let me guess, you're the newest person to join in and regurgitate this nonsense, regardless of the fact that it has already been refuted many times over (including the fact that the traits you listed apply to almost every game in the hack-and-slash genre, soulslike or not). I'm not wasting my time further repeating what has already been said, you can read the thread on your own.
  6. It's still not a soulslike, and Duviri isn't one either.
  7. It's more that they felt they couldn't fight it without risking the death of the game (and likely the studio) in the early days, and those habits haven't been dropped.
  8. That's furry bait that destroys the battlefield, for your information. Honestly, DE have made their living by taking expected concepts and twisting them, I don't know why people are so surprised.
  9. The main reason for TAE's cancellation was that DE realised that they were entering into a genre (Hero Shooters) that was highly competitive and had pretty much already reached its saturation point. One needs only look at the fates that befell pretty much all games in said genre that weren't named "Overwatch" to see why they felt it was better to cut their losses. That said, I do find it somewhat tragic that the assets made for TAE will likely never see use. That kind of charming pulp-sci fi style doesn't get used very often in gaming, so it would have been nice if they could have been repurposed.
  10. My one issue with Prisma weapons is that there aren't enough secondaries with the prefix. We currently have 5 Primaries, 4 Melee weapons, but only 2 Sidearms.
  11. You do realise that Demon Souls wasn't the first game with "Soul" in the title, right? Fromsoft don't have a monopoly on the term.
  12. Aside from all the ways in which the two are not at all alike? I know nuance is apparently dead, but two games having horses doesn't make them the same.
  13. Then it's a good thing DE haven't made any, despite what some ignorant people on the internet might have you believe. There are more types of melee-focused game than just soulslike, you know?
  14. Something to keep in mind is that the Neural Sentry isn't a unique entity. As far as can be determined, Neural Sentries are simply a type of Orokin security measure that manages the Corrupted within a given location.
  15. And in my experience they end up being some of the most reliable weapons in the mode, so I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree.
  16. Enemy becomes 10% more susceptible to damage with every hit (with no upper limit as far as I can tell). Since Assault Rifles generally have a high rate of fire, they can apply a large number of stacks quickly.
  17. Aren't ARs among the best weapons to combo with Persistent Attrition?
  18. I've done at least two solo Duviri Experience runs every day since the update launched. Of them there have been only two cases where a bug prevented me from completing an objective (and since one of them was an anecdote it fortunately didn't stop me from clearing the run). Granted, I did get the waypoint vanishing bug a few times in the early days, but that never slowed me down too much.
  19. I've seen at least one instance where the Endless bounty was something other than excavation. It was essentially a normal bounty that kept looping.
  20. Define "irrelevant". Because a game made by the same studio (including many of the original project leads) in the same engine (with potential for tech cross-pollination) that is explicitly described as a "Spiritual Mirror" to this one seems quite relevant to me.
  21. Not sure what we can do here. Perhaps ask Support if there have been any logins during the period you were away?
  22. There is already an effect for this: A flash radiates across the frame's model from the location of the hit. If your shield depletes, a more prominent effect briefly runs down your frame's body, with a red/blue gradient applied. As far as I can recall, the main indicator for your own shield's condition in Halo is the audio alert. The actual visual effect in first person is about as subtle as Warframe's until your shields are outright depleted.
  23. Cover vaulting. Way back in the day there was a short period where pressing Jump and forward while next to a waist-high object would let you vault over it with a hefty amount of forward momentum. It was removed quite quickly, but I always felt it would have been better to keep it with some tweaks. Having to awkwardly hop over things feels like a downgrade. That was more of a revert than a removal. The high inertia version of archwing was actually the second iteration of its movement, and IIRC it was rather contentious at the time. I personally preferred the original, but could deal with both. One thing I do miss is the "Boost" that it used to have (Hold Space while "sprinting"). I know Blinking is technically quicker, but the boost felt much more stylish.
