  1. In phase 1, it allows you to get closer to Exploiter's weak points. With 1st ability you ignore any attacks, and you can't be slowed down by bumping into obstacles or getting hit by Exploiter's ice wave. In phase 2, you can get better view of the battlefield and snipe coolant raknoids, and you can also travel faster between canisters and ruptures than on foot. Here's the demonstration. Looks easy, right?
  2. While an alternative is always nice, I have zero regrets for this one. And if 1999 lets us have a human face on the frame... never going back to any other helmet.
  3. Well, now you do. Might wanna use that rather than wait for Exploiter nerf.
  4. Similar mechanics is already there. The more thermia you throw at it, the faster heat meter fills up. Up to the point where it fills almost instantly.
  5. You can trivialize the entire fight using Amesha and its first ability.
  6. Haven't yet missed a single week of Archon hunts and Chipper offerings. Can confirm he never sells tauforged shards.
  7. Might be a good idea to increase graphics settings for captura shots. At least turn character shadows on.
  8. It just doesn't feel right that battery system has no drawbacks. I'd rather buff the weapons that use it.
  9. I do a lot of public runs. Before the ammo rework I've seen at least one Bramma player in 95% of my runs. After the rework it's only been a couple times and they were far from spamming. My Sporelacer shreds though.
  10. Not all ammo-based weapons were AoE either, yet they all got this treatment. The system was just tuned for each weapon individually (mag capacity/max ammo/pickup amounts). The same can be done with battery weapons. In case of Plinx it can just consume minimal shield amount.
  11. From the recent ammo rework? Its main goal was to stop spamming AoE weapons. It hasn't been met in case of battery weapons.
  12. You likely lost nothing, but still, all gear should be sellabe and reattainable. Umbra should just be put in Simaris offerings.
  13. Talking about mindless slaughter, maybe make battery weapons consume shields (health for shieldless frames) to recharge and temporarily turn shield-gating off upon full battery depletion?
  14. I don't think the game, and its melee system in particular, is trying to cater to real life logic.
  15. 6 appearance slots aren't enough, especially considering how many customization options there are for Excal. To someone who mains Umbra 6 upgrade slots aren't enough as well (and not being able to have a different set of polarities makes the issue even worse). Recent account merge had many players end up with several copies of Umbra, so there obviously aren't any technical limitations to owning more than one Umbra on one account. Please add Excal Umbra to Simaris offerings.
  16. Yeah, and it can be fixed by turning off hardware acceleration, which unfortunately has its own downsides.
  17. Definitely not a hardware issue, this is the only game with such issues I've played recently. Besides this, I only get visual artifacts (black squares) in Chrome browser (YouTube specifically), but that is also a common issue.
  18. Seems like it only happens in Orbiter and relays, never noticed it during gameplay. Anyone else had this problem? Most noticeable at 00:18 Changing/toggling display mode, refresh rate, vsync and framerate limit has no effect. My specs are: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13600KF 3.50 GHz 32,0 GB DDR5 RTX 3090 Ti Driver version seems to have no effect as well. This problem has been going for about a year already.
  19. You mean some separate toggle for scarf? Or what? You can hide Umbra's scarf, loincloth and all additional bits altogether. The toggle has been there for years.
  20. Feeling pretty indifferent about that, my main expectation is being able to use human face as alt-helm for my warframe. Would be even better if I could use my drifter face.
  21. As a fellow Excalibur player, I absolutely agree. Let's hope this will get more attention. Though regarding Umbra's passive, I'd leave it as is but with one simple fix to losing all active buffs and abilities. It's obvious that sentient Umbra is a different entity from Umbra used directly by the player. Since Umbra's introduction in 2018 and up to some point not too long ago (this year I think) there was a way to keep the buffs after transferring: wait for sentient Umbra to "die" from enemy fire. After receiving critical damage sentient Umbra was replaced by stationary Umbra - the very Umbra used directly by player. And that stationary Umbra kept everything, like any other frame after transference. One of the recent updates changed the process by keeping sentient Umbra on screen - after receiving critical damage he just kneels, and stationary Umbra never appears. So whatever you do, you lose your buffs. So what's the simple fix? Bring back stationary Umbra, but not upon sentient Umbra's "death" - tie his return to transference button. Player enters operator form > sentient Umbra appears > player presses transference button again > sentient Umbra is replaced by stationary Umbra and at the same moment player regains control of the frame > all buffs and active abilities are kept.
  22. They haven't even implemented tying amps and appearance slots to loadouts.
  23. Better utilize shard coalescent system and allow us to combine two regular shards of the same type at the cost of some rare resources to make a tauforged shard.
