  1. It's rare, but I had someone throw a fit because I wasn't carrying an encounter when I was MR 21. It was the first time I tried a specific boss fight, and I didn't really read up before on how the fight works (technically, it was my second attempt, but the first was with experienced players that went that fast that I didn't pick up on the specifics). Anyway, imagine four people who didn't really know what to do more or less tickling that boss to death. One guy was MR15 and got really upset with me. For some reason, at MR21, I was to magically do more damage than he did. Told me to stop playing and uninstall the game. It was bizarre. I understand he was frustrated - which he wouldn't have been if he himself had done more damage, I guess. He was that busy typing that he didn't even notice when I found out that my secondary actually worked much better. Anyway, for some people, mastery rank seems to be "serious business". I just had fun building all kinds of weapons, companions etc. and trying them out. I told him that mastery rank doesn't mean anything, except that you've used your foundry a lot, but he insisted I was playing the game wrong. Well, I guess we weren't meant to become friends 😄. No biggie.
  2. Yeah, the last material I needed was Necrathene, which needs to be mined in the Cambion Drift. I got most of the other materials from drops at the Ancient Obelisks.
  3. Those material structures can only be applied to Voidshell skins. One Voidshell skin you get for free is the one that comes for Operator and Drifter with the New War. As far as I know, all others have to be bought.
  4. Depending on how lucky you are to get those Damaged Necramech parts, I'd just like to point out that those are tradable. If you and your friends are missing different parts, you can just exchange them.
  5. You got a lot of good answers, but I just want to point out that you can only complete the Star Chart after you are done with the Angels of the Zariman quest., at which point you get access to Steel Path and, more importantly, Arbitrations. Arbitrations give access to many of the mods that are used in the better builds you see everywhere. In order to do the Angels of the Zariman quest, you have to be done with the New War quest. For the New War quest, you need to have your own Necramech and Railjack.
  6. Oh, that's easy: Never. The 7 Crimes of Kullervo should hit this month though.
  7. Yeah, got him, too. Got fed to Helminth at 3:35.
  8. Yeah, I noticed that the ingame news was a few hours off.
  9. Hmm, the timer started at 3 pm ET, I got the drop at 3:30 pm ET. In principle, it worked at the advertised time. Geoff Keighley even mentioned the drop at 3:30.
  10. I played Duviri before the New War, even maxed out all Drifter intrinsics there. I found the initial fights slightly challenging the first couple of times, but got used to them quickly. Of course, with decrees, they get really easy. I found the New War archon fights with the drifter much more difficult*. I wonder whether my computer plays part in it, because I often felt as if I had input lag during those fights. Anyway, as I said, many people find these fights easy, too, so your mileage may vary. *Edit: I should probably not sugar-coat it. This was the first time in Warframe that I seriously considered calling it quits. After a day of being furious, I decided that I have to at least put some serious effort into it. Anyway, keep in mind that I'm quite old, my reflexes are bad and my vision isn't the best, either. I guess most people will have an easier time than I had.
  11. That's not really necessary. I used a 1-1-1 amp, leveled to 30, but not gilded. It worked, but stuff took a lot longer than it probably should. Still, I realized that, with a mote amp, it would have been pain. My Necramech was leveled to 30, no forma, and used the mods I picked up during farming the thing. It was absolutely easy, as the Mausolon shreds everything in the quest. The Arquebus, in comparison, did almost nothing. My Railjack was max level, but no special mods, intrinsics at 5, Mk1 guns, shields and engine. Shields and engine were fine, guns could have been better. I was initially a bit worried about my operator, but even the little shield he had made this a non-issue. The Paracesis you are given is more than capable, so there's no need to build it before you start. Now, here comes the biggie: The absolute hardest thing in this whole quest - at least from my personal perspective - is something you have absolutely no influence on and cannot prepare for. I'm talking about the two archon fights you have to do as drifter. These two sections depend purely on player skill. as you only use stuff you are given during the quest. People who are quick and have good reflexes will find this easy, people who are not that great in that department - like myself - will spend a lot of time repeating those fights. By the way, I found Boreal and Nira easier than Amar, but I guess that will also depend on personal skills.
  12. You know, I think even threads like this one serve a purpose. You have all the old threads from around release, where the quest was done by all those endgame Steel Path builds and "too easy", and then you have the new ones where people get stuck. It's hard to find a thread that actually mentions the minimum that should be done regarding preparation. Having at least a 1-1-1 amp would probably be a the top of my list of suggestions. It's not good, but it gets the job done, even if slowly. The second suggestion would be to have at least one improvement level on the railjack guns, or shooting the fighters takes ages. I don't think anything else matters.
  13. No, the confusion caused with bringing Sisters of Parvos, liches, Grendel pieces etc., into the discussion, which wasn't me.
  14. It's not required. I have never done anything with the Sisters of Parvos, and I just unlocked SP yesterday, after clearing the Zariman nodes. Which means, I actually know the requirements as they were of yesterday for sure. Edit: Also, if we think of what has been stated already and doesn't need to rely on hearsay: We know that the OP is missing 5 nodes, we know he did not do the Zariman quest, and we know that the Zariman comes with 5 nodes you have to clear. That should clear any confusion up.
  15. You have to finish the New War and Angels of the Zariman, then clear all the Zariman nodes. Anything Railjack*, the Jordas Golem, Mutalist Alad V etc. can be ignored. I just unlocked SP yesterday, btw. Edit: *aside from actually having a Railjack, as that's a requirement to start the New War quest.
  16. Thank you very much for both of your offers, and thanks EntityPendragon for getting me through this. I'm all good now :)/ It's great that we have so many helpful people here.
  17. I still need to clear three Zariman nodes in order to get access to Arbitrations or SP, if I understand that correctly. Even if the screen claims there are three or six open squads on the node, I pretty much always end up being alone in the mission and fail. I managed to clear one node on my own, and once I had someone join halfway through the mission. All the other times I stayed alone. What does the "open squads" refer to here, if it's not squads I can join? For the moment, I really only want to have those nodes cleared on my star chart.
  18. Great to hear you can continue the main quest now. As for Duviri, not doing the 6 missions was also my preferred way of maxing out intrinsics. I certainly didn't touch any of the Undercroft ones while doing that. I just did random missions until the decrees were exhausted. Which rotating things do you have difficulties with, the dots or the windmills? Most of the windmills can just be done with the Sirocco from the point where the chest stands, only for some you have to move around a bit. I often can't see where the outermost rotor is, but I memorize where the indicator was, which is usually sufficient, as the hitbox seems to be rather generous. I try to find the positions of all others before I start. I'm certainly not averse to helping, but I maxed out all intrinsics and got a bit burned out of Duviri and having to do the same stuff over and over again. I just did the New War quest and should probably clear the Zariman next before someone decides to add more nodes to the Star Chart as prerequisite to arbitrations. Edit: I just noticed Hobie-wan's answer. Yes, the horse can help for the few instances where you have to move around because the starting connector is behind a wall or hill.
  19. Interesting. I'm pretty sure I just got put out of that loaner necramech into my warframe without any animation or anything. I then summoned my own necramech and continued. Oh well, that's at least as I remember it. Maybe, it was a glitch, either with the game or with my memory 😄.
  20. I haven't really farmed Pathos Clamps yet, although I maxed out all of my drifter intrinsics. You get to the Orowyrm fight in both modes, Duviri Experience and Lone Story. The former is the one to use to farm for intrinsics. In a group goes faster, but if everyone wants to do something different (intrinsics means lots of side tasks, Pathos Clamps means the Orowyrm fight), you may end up with nothing at all in the end, because the mission fails. If you don't have a dedicated group, do intrinsics farming alone in the Duviri experience. At least in the Lone Story, you know that everyone is going after Pathos Clamps. Nitain extract stays with you forever, yes. As you start with 150 Nightwave credits (or was it the first reward? I forgot), you have enough to buy what you need, and maybe one of the better aura mods, whenever they come around.
  21. Bile is usually a non-issue for me, but I don't mind waiting a bit. I use the "Bile" category to dump my unused Argon crystals before they decay. Javlok Capacitors (needs 7) or Nav Coordinates (needs 65) are my next choices. I don't think the rest is worth it.
  22. Hmm, I actually kept those kills from a loner Necramech (about half the kills required). However, I used my own Necramech to finish the task during Fass, so I don't know whether that was the reason. I had used the fallen one only because I wanted to see how it performs.
  23. Technically, the potions do affect stats. If you are a min-maxer, you can, by selectively breeding lots of Deimos pets, put lots of these stat effects on one pet together - or so I was told. However, the consensus seems to be that the effects of these stats don't really matter, so just use what you think looks best. The cheapest options will do just fine.
  24. Nekros is a farming frame, so you got lucky. You got also lucky to meet people who know how to maximize drops (95% either don't know or don't care). Let's see how many of those 11 Argon you can use before the rest decays. But yeah, it isn't difficult to get Argon crystals, it's just a regular time investment. Nightwave is by far the easiest method (15 credits for 5 Nitain). The drops fall into the category "technically there, practically not". Many of the Nightwave tasks can be done on the side or will fulfill automatically just by playing the game. They disappear every time you leave Duviri. You start from scratch every time you start this roguelite mode. Your drifter will collect intrinsics though, some of which will make things easier. If you just want to look around in Duviri and do random tasks until you have enough, choose "The Duviri Experience". That's the mode for farming things, doing puzzles, etc. I often did that till I exhausted all decrees. The exit screen will either show "Mission failed" or "Mission complete" and be empty, but your collected stuff should be there up to the last decree you earned (everything after that will be lost). The Lone Story (from memory) expects you to just do a linear quest to the Orowyrm fight, so don't use that for doing stuff on your own, unless you know you just want Pathos Clamps.
