But for real. The energy increase to Danse Macabre make it the most expensive channeling ability in the game. It’s nowhere near strong enough to justify such a massive nerf.

Range is useless for his 4 so you can mod him with full duration + full efficiency to counter the energy drain, since is a channeled ability, you can mod pass 175% efficiency.

Even if he required an energy cost increase. 20 energy/sec is too damn high for an ability that still has some significant limitations.

He was pretty much DOA. People only play him at all because he's new. Other frames do what he does far better and far more efficiently. 

He's got a long ways to go before being really competitive. He's supposed to be a mix of CC, AOE DD, and tank. his CC is nearly non existent, his DD is a headache lightshow that's outperformed by other AOE DD frames in terms of damage, reliable targeting, efficiency, and not giving people headaches or triggering their epilepsy, and his tankability is reliant on one of the weakest damage reducing/negating skills in the game alongside an ability that's simply too expensive to use that doesn't really fully heal you or fully restore your shields.

Modding can only do so much for him. He's a dumpster fire atm.

The cost increase didnt change a thing in gameplay, it just requires one more duration or efficiency mod. Whatever they set out to do (get more use out of his #1) didnt succeed with the cost increase, it made his #1 even more useless. 

edit: Also, he is far from a dead or bad frame. He's actually pretty damn good, It just happens to be that the skill he was planned to be based around (Enthrall) isnt worth using at all because the synergies and the skill itself are bad. His 2, 3 and 4 are awesome.

Modding for 1 skill defeats the propose of the nerf, its more of a waste of mod space than anything at that point. So its not just mod around it more than why did DE think this was a great idea to begin with?
