Makemap
By far the most garbage gun in the game is Knell. It only has 10 reload clip and 1 shot per clip. Even lower tier secondary are much better. There are too many enemies and headshoting infested or fast moving enemies are almost impossible. Even Grineer when there are mobs of grineer randomly runs and block your headshot view chance forcing you to reload. What is the point of even having a riven mods for this when the gun itself isn't even viable at all. Bosses move too quickly, some have invincibility and some bosses have weakspots somewhere else instead of the head.. Here is a propose change in mechanic to make it a viable gun. -Increase mastery rank -Change from Headshot to hitting Enemy, once you miss an enemy it forces you to reload. Now we can have a proper Knell build with puncture and cleaning up block doorways.

Knell, for example, could be changed to having 10 shots and 100 in the mag. You get a headshot and it pulls from the mag automatically. Get a lot of headshots and you dont have to reload as often. Some ideas like that.
AndouRaiton
use it with a frame that has good cc like harrow, inaros, ivara, etc. that stop enemies in place and this thing becomes a monster as it's easy to get headshots. The only bad thing is that it can't use Synth Charge which would make it even stronger.
peterc3
Just because you aren't able to work with the gun, doesn't make the gun bad or need changes.
(XBOX)GearsMatrix301
God forbid the game require you to have a little skill to fire a gun.
Blade_Wolf_16
So, the Knell is Harrow's weapon. Harrow's 1 can completely stun enemies, making headshots easier. His other signature weapon is the Scourge, which, once thrown, creates an AoE that creates a Bullet attractor around enemy heads. You could also try a frame that can slow enemies down, like Equinox (Night form with 3rd augment), Nova, etc. or stun them, like Mesa, Night form Equinox, Exca, Inaros, Limbo, etc. Also, trying to headshot infested is a bad idea from the start. Grineer and Corpus, however, are easy targets. Just gotta get used to aim there.
Artekkor
I'm pretty sure the Knell is the way it is because it was meant to be Harrow's signature weapon. Is headshoting fast enemies hard? Yes. Except Harrow has an easy to use ability that stops enemies in place and exposes their heads. Its a gun specifically for crowd-controlly warframes, not for general massacre. Makemap
But, it garbage against most bosses. Your not going to be able to CC bosses. All the other weapons can handle bosses not problem. Edited November 18, 2018 by Makemap

Bring the right tool for the job. You wouldnÂ’t bring a status weapon to a boss immune to status, why would you bring a headshot-focused weapon to a boss immune to headshots? Shoot the boss in the Head, suddenly your Knell has infinite ammo and ridiculous fire rate; its a DPS bullet hose, and you're doing headshot criticals. Boss doesn't have a head? pop one of the mobs then switch to boss every 6 seconds.
(PSN)DBR87
I have used the Knell to murder Kayla de Thayme, Tyle Regor, Ambulas, The Sergeant (not really an accomplishment), Alad V, Infested Alad V, the Stalker, Vay Hek, and numerous Acolytes. It does work on bosses. In fact, it work on a lot of them. If it's not the weapon for you, that is fine. But the Knell does a lot of damage when used correctly. Pretty much if you can land a head shot or a weak point hit on an enemy, you can use it on them.
