Scarlet Spear Positive Feedback

Hi there,

Just wanted to mention that I'm enjoying the scarlet spear space missions a lot. I've often complained that the combination of warframe abilities and the operator make almost the entire game a completely trivial experience. I've been playing the scarlet spear space mission solo (because railjack missions as client are still not a good experience) and I've been having a blast! Operator vazarin school can't make the oplink invulnerable, so I have to actually defend it. The sentients shoot through frost's bubble, they resist limbo, and many other CC abilities have extremely shortened duration against the sentients. This has made the event challenging, which is really really fun! Like, I find myself laughing when my oplink dies - and I say "damn, I missed that one sentient with the giant laser arm who was just outside my field of view, I'll get him next time!" Then I return with a different loadout, a different plan and different ideas.  This is fun, this is why I fell in love with warframe in the first place. Please continue to make more content like this.

Note: the only other game-mode that makes me feel this good is disruption, but there's no good rewards on any of the disruption nodes - that's a real shame.

Thanks DE!

I don't think it ever made the Scarlet spear thing invulnerable, only the stuff in other missions outside the event. I could be wrong though.

It used to before it was fixed.

Edit, I might be thinking of Venari.

I'm with ya! I love the Railjack version because of the extra involvement and the choices you have to make. I'm pretty proud of my ship and can handle the attacks while my squad deals with the oplinks. The sentient fighters splitting up is awesome and has got me hyped on what railjack can expand to be. Gotta say, I'm really happy with the PS4 release so far!

Ah yes I wasn't referring to it being possible in the past, and recent hotfixes removing that possibility. I just meant that it was a good call from the start to prevent that invulnerability, since it trivializes every other mobile defense type mission!

I feel that it would have been a bad call from the start since consoles didn't have health scaling like they do now. I've had times where all I did was swivel my camera about 270 degrees and the excavator or whatever I was guarding would be critical health or destroyed. ( ps4 controls, default sensitivity.) Not even a full circle before lotus says "excavator destroyed" haha!

The changes mostly hurt the solo players since it forces them to babysit the objective now, and players who do much longer runs where the damage becomes too high to manage. This is all napkin math though. I'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

Yes I like the event being on the easier side and then scaling up as you go deeper.  This at the lower levels promotes variety and just fun.  You dont have to go meta until you wanna go deep.  I made it to round 12 on the ground with a full squad and that was to tough for me and barely escaped lol.   In space I havent tested my limits... you get more points up there so just doing 4 rounds and bailing is like more than 10 on the ground.   (i'd bump ground credits up a little but I dont care I have fun in both).

I did ground first and used Titania/Lantern.  She kicked alot of butt.  She does great at locking down one source of enemies.  And I try to use tribute but its kinda short range and is hard to do close to everyone else.

Joined and hosted Space side.  Seems pretty easy.. Nidus was no good.  Tried wisp and I think the sentient are immune to shock?  Wisp is also pretty squishy lol.  I got lots of frames to try. (only bad part of space was when I join a squad and they are already in murex I cant leave their ship until they come back and go for the satellite??  After that I can leave the ship with them for the next one)

The point system is ok.  I should easily get both weapons, the decorations.  The arcanes dont seem that expensive.  However.. On one hand this is a limited time event.  I would prefer double the points so I can scoop up all the loot I want and be done with it.   On the other hand you probably want everyone playing the event so everyone who actually wants stuff has full squads to do it... and thats why the points are low..  there were 666 flotilla's when I got on tonight lol...is that bad for the servers??  More points = less server fires??.   My only point is doing the event solid up to the very end because your worried about not geting stuff does not feel good.  It will also cause people to burn out on it.

I was worried about host/client desync.  I had tons of hosts bail on ground team, didnt affect me.   Havent had any disconnects in space.  As a client its pretty laggy but still playable.  I dont see people leave the ship, I just see messages oplinks are being deployed lol.   I swing my weapon like crazy and cause damage numbers to go flying but I dont see any enemies....     Still both sides are waaaaay better than Disruption desync.  Which makes me sad because I love disruption.

But I just stopped by to say props to everyone at DE for working so hard on this during the apocalypse and transitioning to working from home lol.  Thank you PC players for hammering out all the bugs with those first 10 hotfixes lol.   Now time to eat and then back to corrupting sentient brains!!! ( I use country music, childrens shows, and animal porn to corrupt them lol, and maybe pictures of Megan's fashion frame....)

Thanks for this thread! I was thinking about making something similar, but I found this so I will for sure post here.

At first I was a bit apprehensive of the event, because there were some issues at first (Awaiting kill codes??) (And I'm a Negative Nancy a lot of the time), but after many hours of this event I can say I really enjoy it now. I love the challenge, the team-work and this event actually makes me *want* to beat those Sentients back and help everyone get their bonus, not just to get the rewards (which are pretty cool, it's the first time I have managed to get fully rank Warframe Arcanes, since I shy away from Eidolon hunting...). I have 150000+ event points, more than 3 times the requirement to get the best emblem and I keep coming back for more. I have spent so many credits on support drones, but it feels great to be able to contribute that way too.

So from a long-time Warframe player, I can say I am still enjoying Warframe to this day. (playing since launch more or less every day, so one cannot accuse me of "not knowing about any issues" the game has).

Thanks DE for continuing to make my favourite game.

Also I am extremely hyped for the next Cinematic Quest.

❤️

After my first full day with the game I have both weapons, the ballroom, the 2 decoration items, and im working out maxing out some arcanes.

I feel like Space team gets all the glory and ground team does all the $#^*( work.  I definately think there is an imbalance between the two sides.

Ground team has to get to round 12 just to get 2k credits.  Space team only has to go 4 rounds for 2k.  As you can imagine this makes ground team's fights way harder for that same 2k credits.   Both sides should earn the same amount of credits for the same amount of rounds...  (buff ground team or nerf the crap out of space team)

I have a pretty big complaint about something mostly irrelevant...  The emblems that rate your performance... Those are earned from the "points" you accumlate during your ground/space missions.  It FEELS like you only earn points when you are standing inside the yellow circle when you have oplinks up.  If you go outside the circle then u stop getting points.

Now I prefer melee and I am running all over the place trying to murder everything,  I spend alot of time outside those circles.  I get screwed out of points and given a crappy 1-2 star emblem.  I just took a newb friend through both sides of the event tonight.  I was using Nova and he was Khora.(which sucks).  When it came time for uplinks he would plop down a cage and just stand there.  Meanwhile im bouncing all over the place killing stuff, taking out the condrix, reviving him/me.  At the end of the mission I had done 90+% of the damage (just the two of us).   I get a 2 star emblem... He gets a 3 star emblem.   WTF.........    That should totally change....   I was in alot of groups on the ground where the same thing happened.  I was in the mission from the very get go but as the mission goes on my score is different and lower than everyone elses.   YES im dropping my oplink ASAP.    But like I said, it doesnt really matter.... it does affect my bonus at the end of the wave but not enough to care about.     I dont get why im being punished for not sitting on my butt in the stupid circle though when im out there being proactive, protecting oplinks

Havent done it yet but I wanna take my RJ solo and do the space side and NOT go after the murex.  Just screw around in space fighting the sentients lol.
