We need a Kitsune Warframe and warframe rivens

I do really think we need warframe rivens for the frames themselves in the categories like power, strength you know the ones... it might be fun

As far as the Kitsune frames goes... it should a fox looking frame... with fox ears and paws for feet...

Instead of powers... it should have 4 foxes that cling or live on the shoulders of the Kitsune frame "Yoshikitsu"

each power shot should be allocated to an individual fox(with their own health bar and energy pools like a sentinel)... with 4 command that change when press... HEAL"rest on frame and use energy to heal damage", ATTACK "enemy attack", GATHER"energy siphon", and Union all the foxes fuse into Yoshikitsu providing poision, fire, ice, and electric damage to all attacks... or you can turn the foxes into turrets on the frames shoulders.

are you insane??

this would just make things a total mess for balancing purposes.   Rivens for guns were supposed to make the less used guns more viable, all they did was make the meta guns more meta..  Rivens have become a cancer in the game and sadly its to late to cut it out now.   Your just asking to make it even worse..

Okay, long term player with arcane knowledge from the early days of Warframe here:

We used to have variable stat mods for Warframes. DE removed them because of one key factor: It makes their work easier. They can balance each and every ability for the basic mods we have, and the Archon Shards, and ensure that frames with the exact same mods and shards equipped will perform exactly the same for every player. This minimises the bugs they need to fix after updates, and also minimises the testing they need to do when new frames are in development to ensure the new frames don't break existing frames.

Considering the amount of bugs we already have every time an update happens, I wouldn't want to see this idea coming back to add to them.

What a boring way of describing her powers... heal, attack, energy siphon and an elemental boost to damage? And themed to look like Voruna? Whatever for?

Let's at least look at what Kitsune powers could be and theme them properly:

There are two common types of Kitsune, the Zenko (celestial foxes, or 'good' foxes) and the Yako (field foxes, or 'mischievous' or even 'malicious' foxes).

They have up to nine tails, indicating their age and power, with the most common myths giving them one, five, seven and nine in the folktales. Some tales say that 9-tailed foxes can hear anything happening in the world, or have a form of infinite wisdom.

After living for 1000 years and gaining their ninth tail, a Kitsune becomes a Tenko, the most powerful form, and ascends to the heavens.

Kitsune powers include taking on human form, possession, creating fire or lightning (including the kind of will o' wisp that leads people into traps), willful manifestation in dreams, flight (sort of running on air), invisibility, illusions. The greater powers include bending time and space, driving people mad, or feeding on the life force of humans.

There is so much here that could be useful.

Now, let's take a look at the functions that we want from a frame:

A frame needs some form of Survivability. In your version, that's healing. In Warframe, though, there's lots of different forms.

Damage, whether that's in the Abilities themselves, or in their weapons.

Crowd Control, not every frame has it, but it's definitely wanted.

Buffing, the ability to make your allies or your weapons stronger.

Debuffing, making the enemy less powerful or less tanky.

So...

What powers fit into those different roles? For example, a Kitsune turning invisible is a form of Survivability, Loki, Ivara, Ash and Octavia all benefit from this, but it could also be from self healing using the life force of enemies (life steal on damage or kill), or it could be the spatial distortion that creates a damage mitigation bubble. Damage could be fire, lightning, or direct damage from a fox's pounce. Seeing as Voruna currently pounces, I would stick with the elemental damage. A very good Crowd Control ability could be the illusions or the kitsune-bi that leads enemies astray. Buffing could be imbuing weapons with fire or lightning, or it could be a self buff where they temporarily attain all 9 tails and become empowered. Debuffing could be the possession, similar to the way Equinox has Rage, turning enemies more dangerous, but also more vulnerable.

Let me try my hand at a complete kit:

Spoiler

Kitsune Frame: Tenko

Passive: Nine Tails. By using her abilities, Tenko generates the power of her tails. For every tail she gains, she gains Ability Range and Duration. With her tails active she is able to activate her 4th ability for up to 50% less Energy.

1. Kitsune-bi. Tenko flings ghostly fox fire at her enemies, distracting them from the fight for a short time. Entranced enemies have increased vulnerability to Fire and Lightning.

This ability is a cone-of-effect CC cast that causes enemies to temporarily cease combat and walk slowly towards the lights. Marked enemies take 50% bonus damage from Heat and Electric damage. Duration is short, only 8 seconds or so at base, but with her passive and modding this is a great quick-cast.

Synergy: Every enemy killed while marked by Kitsune-bi will generate a small amount of power for her Passive. Passive Range and Duration gain is counted after mods for the next cast.

2. Kitsune-tsuki. Target enemies with Tenko's power to stun and enrage them, causing those who she possesses to harm each other and themselves.

Quick and simple, this one, it's a targeted AoE that will turn off Friend or Foe identification for enemies, stun them briefly to force them to re-target the nearest 'enemy' and cause a defense strip over time to themselves. This ability is target capped, but can be topped-up on recast to keep the effect going on existing enemies while snaring new ones. This over-rides the initial CC of her 1, but having her 1 active on them prevents enemies from targeting the player. All enemies affected by this lose their Armour or Shields by a set percentage (increased by Strength) over a few seconds and attack each other. This means that at neutral Strength, enemies will lose something like 50-60% of their armour/shields permanently over the few seconds, but at higher Strength, the same few seconds will drain 100% defenses.

Synergy: Every enemy killed while marked by Kitsune-tsuki generates power for her Passive, this effect is multiplied for having both her 1 and 2 active on the same enemy.

3. Inari no Kami. Bending space around her, Tenko defends herself against incoming damage. Enemies nearby are pushed away, while incoming ranged damage is reduced.

This ability is a radial defense that's kind of the opposite to Zephyr's Turbulence. As a DR ability it can, like others, cap out at 90%, but it offers immunity to Melee attacks due to pushing melee enemies away. It lasts a set duration and cannot be recast, similar to Shatter Shield.

Synergy: While her 4 is active, Inari no Kami also Slows enemies it touches.

4. Kyubi no Kitsune. Unleash the power of the nine tailed fox to hunt down your enemies. All of Tenko's attacks gain an additional Heat and Electric damage attack, and her attack speed is increased. In addition, Tenko and her Allies will gain health for every kill they make.

Self and Team buff, with a bit of additional self sustain thrown in. The two status types she grants to attacks do not combine and work similar to the way Xaku's 1st ability works, by providing a second attack/shot that deals the additional damage of each type. This is a Duration cast (which works with her Passive to last longer and cost less) which can be re-cast before the duration is finished. While it can be cast at any time, the cast consumes the Passive's tail count, so maintaining this ability cheaply and for a large part of the mission should be best done by using her other casts actively to top-up the Passive between casts of her 4.

Synergy: Consumes power from her Passive to reduce energy cost by up to 50%, based on the number of Tails she has charged at the time. Inari no Kami gains a Slow effect on enemies it touches.

Bonus Heat and Electric damage works well with her first ability to give her a hefty damage boost against enemies she CC's.

So...

Yeah...

A Kitsune frame that has two, sometimes three, layers of CC for enemies. The enrage style of CC is really good at the moment because this actually helps CC Eximus units, because the Eximus will stop targeting the player and start targeting the 'ally' that's now attacking them. And marking enemies for bonus damage works well on Eximus too, because it can give Overguard a 'weakness' to damage that it normally wouldn't have.

The self buffing, damage reduction, self-healing, defense strip against small groups of enemies and the bonus self-healing for Allies is something that can't really go wrong, and having a frame that's immune to melee is great because it creates a monster against the Infested. Being able to go bowling down a corridor full of chargers, leapers, crawlers and ancients, knowing that you'll not only push them all away, but also slow them down (with her 4 active), is a great feeling. Just watch out for toxin clouds and grapple hooks.

In conclusion...

Yes to a Kitsune frame, no to Warframe Rivens, and please try to put more thought into your concepts ^^

Yeah we need neither of these things. Rivens are absolute cancer enough as it is.

And oh boy another female furbait frame to throw on the pile cus there's not a chance in hell they ever make a kitsune frame male. Just slap the Okuri tails ephemera on Valkyr or Voruna and use your imagination. Or Nezha deluxe if ur a chad. Kitsune characters have been done to death already.

Oooooooooooooor we could do something different.

When I look at things fox-themed, I see two thematic patterns: changelings (damage and maybe personal utility) and manipulation either by guile or charm (crowd control).  It'd be interesting to see either one of those concepts adequately fleshed out, but I wouldn't hold my breath over it.

As for the name, sure you could go with something like Inari if you wanted to focus on foxes doing attacks, but I'm more partial to something non-Japanese like Daji or Kumiho.  Alternatively, I wouldn't mind seeing a male fox frame just because we already have a female wolf frame and I'd be more curious as to how DE would design something like that.
