  1. The helminth system is one of these things that make the game more fun but not having it would just make the game better in quality. Just considering that resonator and gloom spam was one of the things that very likely demanded a need for a system like overguard says enough.
  2. I wish we could pick between her sentient and human voices. Sometimes I’m sick of that ‘tec’ sound effect on her Lotus voice, but using the Margulis skin (and not her amazing goddess-like deluxe) just for that is super lame.
  3. Its cool, I like the idea of Nidus scaling hard with abilities and stacks. I could say 150% power strength is a lot, but Protea occasionally gets 100% and she needs no stacks and has infinite energy, so meh. The potential for game breaking stuff is undeniable, however. With 150% power strength, an allied Link would be very powerful, and since it increases strength multiplicatively, he would get even more strength from using it. Sure allied links aren't the preferred choice, but you can always use the bonus to cast an ability and then swap back to the DR. And considering the superb amount of strength he would amass, it wouldn't take long for Helminth related builds to get really out of hand. With this, I mean to say that it wouldn't be an issue for Nidus himself, but rather what other frame abilities and even other frames when linked could end up doing with all that.
  4. People were using it for afk a bunch, so DE obviously nerfed it once or twice. Something about clip size or firerate (can’t recall) no longer altering its total duration and something else related to the disc specifically. Apparently it could get really crazy? Though I find it hard to believe it would be simple or inactive to pull off, and considering you can just use gear that will better reward your effort and investment, it seems and sounds really nichy. I’m not sure about calling it a “nerf” though. When DE addresses things that allow tou to avoid interacting with the game I honestly see it as a fix.
  5. Didn’t we get a bunch of noes from DE when requesting augment slots because “mod slots are a reasonable enough cost/drawback”? ….then why are there augment mods…with drawbacks…?
  6. I'd prefer if the buffs got reworked to be more useful and moddable so casting them is worth it. DE could then even give us a two aura limit since they'd be better and having such limit would help with the spammyness. BTW I don't think losing the ability to pick which parts of the ability you want active is an improvement. Imagine being a Speedva or Speenox and having an idiot fairy slowing enemies down for no real reason.
  7. I hope these sandy cats properly scale with enemy level. If not enough to enable an Inaros Infection summoner build, at least enough for them to successfully distract and infect enemies without insta dying. Would be pretty lame to buff Decoy into an actual useable ability, just to have Inaros’ kitties be as bad as Decoy currently is.
  8. Now THAT is an augment. That’s pretty good and would be thematically great to have 👍🏻.
  9. I’ll take anything that isn’t a Conculyst or a Brachiolyst lol. Imagine if he could summon battalysts and could refresh their durations. I’d become a Caliban main in a blink.
  10. Overguard hits Bimbo very hard: Zzz… Overguard makes Revenant actually need to be aware of his enemies’ existence: UNACCEPTABLE
  11. That person suggested these absurd buffs to mock the OP, in an attempt to imply his augment suggestion is bloated or overpowered, when in reality its pretty much in the average side. That is what I was referring to when I said average and the reason I concluded they were freaking out over meaningless things.
  12. What we have to consider though is how intrusive procs might be. +damage or -damage inflicted (viral or puncture) might rarely see someone upset (Nyx accidentally killing eximus, chroma gettin vexed [ba dum ts]) but a bullet attractor is much more likely to ruin precision shots (headshots, sonar shots, crystal shots, etc). The main point though is not being intrusive for others, but rather oneself. Much like our fellow Tenno @Tiltskillet, the only bullet attractor I tolerate is Scourge’s, and only because I rarely use it for defence (nice against eximus so they can’t shoot at you) and because it is centered on the head. So any weapon in my Arsenal with base magnetic damage would be a pain to use in case it was reworked to attract bullets. Not to mention the bad interactions that attractor bubbles have. Opticor has mag dmg on the splash, and it’s splash damage has self stagger. When it’s fired against a bubble, the splash triggers on its surface, making this weapon a poor choice for mag bubbles as it might get you constantly staggered etc.
  13. By freaking out at a ridiculously average augment concept (no offense to OP). The one questionable thing in there would be the healing, but it would be capped on defense targets anyways. Everything else is just Petrify doing petrify things, but buffed up. Which would cost an augment slot and add a weakness to the ability (2s delay, enough for excavators to vanish in higher lvl).
  14. It doesn't help that the ones we have don't see a good polish in ages in order to keep up with the more modern frames. Not to mention what these frames are supposed to compete with: give Zephyr Silence and you have a support that makes enemy gunfire 99% non-existent, and that can skyrocket dps by grouping enemies up and increasing damage dealt by a lot, all the while ccing most enemies and blocking their active abilities, one of the few things that would ignore her shield. Either DE makes old frames smoother to play and give them a proper glow up, or they'll never be anything more than arcane farmers, with the ocasional exception (Oberon would be the vitus farmer lol). If I make a post saying "Trinity's WoL should be better at preventing CC and status and her Blessing DR cap should be 95%", I'm sure quite a few people would say its too much. But so is invisibility (aka invincibility) which most of the times also boosts melee damage; so is Turbulence existing in a beast of a DPS frame; so is Mesmer Skin; and these three things have linear scaling, whereas DR does not. Support and guardian frames will never leave their niche usages as long as DPS frames can support as well as if not better than them.
  15. Yes please. Make that forced when needed (chains of Harrow, Prelate boss, etc) but disable it everywhere else. Then, add a toggle to enable it for those who wish to keep it. That light is an eyesore in closed spaces and is incredibly hideous when you turn it towards your warframe. +1 ☺️
  16. It does. Ability duration multiplies the proc durations, making them last longer. It's not very efficient by default, 75 energy to debuff enemies that will die faster because Roar buff + crit boost means you'll be recasting a lot, so the augment passive should perhaps be +40% efficiency for Roar instead of range, but it is still very good. Works really well on Trinity for her to offer the very needed ofensive support she lacks, while at the same time further improving her ability to protect allies and objectives like these excavators which sometimes seem like they're made of paper.
  17. I love the idea of making her 1st change to a screaming animation and sfx. I could see that not being everyone’s favorite idea, but it would be very fitting considering her name. I also feel like a knockdown is better than a ragdoll+repulse for the general use, but I have to say I’ve had uses for it’s goofy push back effect before lol. (Maybe a tap for knockdown and hold for ragdoll+push back?) I also like the concept of a sound based “banshee’s veil”, but I struggle to imagine what it’s effects would be.
  18. Ah yes, which is why you suggested a new augment, presumably to replace the one you said should be added into the base ability. Anyways, I agree with what you didn't really say. Roar should indeed be recastable, as should Iron skin, War Cry and many other abilities. No ability should need an augment just in order to recast.
  19. Piercing Roar is waaay too good to be part of the base ability. It should be naturally recastable, yes, but the other effect should be kept as an augment. 5 puncture procs give +25% flat crit on direct weapon hits, sets enemies up for CO mods and reduces enemy damage dealt by a whooping 80%, which is really good taking into consideration that it essentially bypasses Iron Skin inability to benefit from damage reduction (when added as a buff). It also kinda stuns enemies already, as it applies a knock down. Roar is uniquely stronger on rhino than in the Helminth, increases damage multiplicatively, affects most sources of ability damage, and double dips on procs. It honestly is strong enough already.
  20. I like this idea, though I honestly find 4 Eps to be a little too much, even if efficiency affects it (which btw can go the other way around if you have negative efficiency, which would put her passive to drain Effigy levels of Eps). I'd also like to see her having no gravity (like Aero Vantage) during aim glide, but I could understand someone not being into it.
  21. It took Grendel three button presses to gather a group of people asking for a goddamned rework (on a frame that might have been a little energy hungry, but was really strong and viable). Now you are asking for a frame that requires lots of presses AND different combinations? The nerve of you!!! lol Yeah, having an exalted really F.ed up his chances of having a large amount of ultimate combinations. Of course it would take a lot of effort too, maybe that was the initial concept but ended up being too much work just for a frame gimmick? And then the tome was shoved in there to dilute the combinations and results a little... it is a possibility. Anyways, it certainly would be a matter of regret for the devs. They'd put a lot of work in visual effects and creativity for the mage frame to have lots of spells, just for someone to make a thread complaining about the most stupid of things, like "it takes this frame 4 casts to do what [frame with bloated kit] does with one! BAD!". @quxier Tome mods affecting his abilities are a really cool idea, regardless of whether it would grant him a new 4th or extra effects for his exalted tome. Nice!
  22. That description is a reminiscent of the original ability, back when it used to deal damage (hence ""force"" bolts and the need to 'adjust' them using telekinesis). The "Hits strip some enemy defenses" was just added after the ability changed from damage to debuff. The description didn't change because neither did the visual effect, or name, or most functionalities (other than the effect on the enemies). Inducing the enemy into fighting poorly and therefore reduce the effectiveness of their defensive gear makes more sense than telekinesis here, specially if we consider that the effect is a timed debuff (what happens when it expires? does Nyx use her telekinesis again to give the enemies all their gear back? etc). Didn't that come from a comment in a thread? I remember seeing it like a week prior to the patch that brought the Nyx buffs. I remember the teleport being compared to Wuclone's, the Psychic Bolts staggering being requested as something to give a little impact and as a tribute to the old PB, Mind Control getting an innate 500% damage bonus and a buff to duration, Assimilate rolls and one or two more things that I don't remember right now. Then, they added these stuffs to the nerf to Absorb's nuke "build"[exploit] and that was the buff round. I even tried to look the thread up again because I wanted to compare the buff round to their suggestion as I noticed how very similar they were, but ended up forgetting about it. I might be wrong of course, but I'm pretty sure I really saw that one comment that probably inspired the buff round. I did appreciate the buffs and them for listening to feedback, the issue is just that they decided to listen to one of the most useless suggestions ever. Like, status and control immunity for the MC target would probably be as simple as giving it an innate 500% damage bonus, except status and control immunity would be really helpful to allow them to deliver their damage once you stack them to 12k%+, whereas 500% is useless because either A) you can get a much higher multiplier or B) you don't really use MC or it's multiplier. And status and control immunity are suggested almost in every Nyx thread that talks about Mind Control and improvements for it. The stagger does indeed give it a feel, but is hardly relevant as most enemies who can get staggered can also get stunned by casting or recasting chaos, except chaos affects an entire very large zone, while bolts affect a miserable 6 targets. The MC teleport solved a problem (enemies would be left behind when on the go and become useless) but created another (melee range and mid range enemies are only viable if you follow them around like a pet; otherwise they attempt to get into combat just to be teleported back over and over again). The Assimilate buff to allow Nyx to roll is the one kinda good thing that came out of the buff rounds. And even then; look at it the right way and you can also see a problem: Assimilate is much more used in comparison to base Absorb. But it was still buffed in detriment of the neglected Absorb, which needed and still needs much more attention than it's augment.
