its  just the mechanic no the theme, it will have something to do wit elements. skittles are not elements for 1, 2 it just might be the most flexible frame elemental wise has the power to change to any element it wants too its already a step up from limbo

Indeed.  In this Year of Quality, I expect nothing less than increasingly large walls with multiple layers of grind, RNG, waiting, or a combination of the three used more and more frequently.

 

But regardless of my intention to not bother even trying to acquire it, the idea of a frame's elemental damage being altered by energy color is an intriguing concept, especially since it seems to conflict with DE's policy of cosmetics not being influenced by stats.  We'll see.

well naturally they realized there was a way to make people pay them even more money for a frame, so they decided the release a frame that not only you have to buy the frame itself, but also have to buy color palettes for! :D

those aren't really the themes of the frames, so no? sharkboy's theme was trickster, trinity was a healer/priest, and what frame is the jellyfish supposed to signify? 

 

but regardless, i'm keeping myself mostly neutral for the time being. nothing useful has really been confirmed, and the design is entirely up in the air. just hoping this color thing functions better than it seems like it will.

The amount of whine in this thread is incredible. Let's wait for the frame to actually be released before whining and complaining about it? You could probably access all element types with just the default starter palette for all we know.

When they said that energy color would change the frames damage the first thought that came to my mind was chameleon. I also doubt that you would need to buy colors, a light blue and a dark blue are still blue one isn't more blue than the other.

I looked at the chat all the time once hype started and somewhere at the beginning I and someone else typed "dragon frame" in chat.

I know it because of some other streams that referenced it. the video must be uploaded to the servers, which then gets sent to the viewers. that requires loads of bandwidth, so there has to be a delay. I don't know if it's always that big, there sure is delay.
