I think it was a term used by DE_Steve in earlier devstreams for game content that was coming sometime in the near future but didnt have a specified date. It might have been used so often it evolved into a meme.

This is just speculation on my part.

They still use it all the time. Coming soon.

hmmm , you talkin 'bout sooner , soonist and soon or is that another thing ?

The community made a joke about "Soon" since it was used so often. DE quickly jumped on the joke bandwagon and played along with the joke, recently furthering the vague time frame with "more accurate" time frames. Same joke, just formaed once or twice. You'll also encounter the "around the corner" term here and there. Again, same joke.

it's a common joke used for a lot of Developers, where things are promised in the near future, soon, or some other synonym of that.

not isolated to just Warframe or Digital Extremes by any means - something used long before, and will be used long after Warframe or Digital Extremes.

The scale goes:

Soon™ (unknown date)

Sooner™ (>month)

Soonish™ (<month)

Basically Soon™ is a joke/gag about DE saying that they will update/add something, but they are never sure when... Latest Mios been in development for like half a year now since his concept-art (fan-made btw). A good example of how Soon™ things can be
