Can’t Log Into Original Warframe Forum Account *OFFICIAL REPLY GIVEN*

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but you're saying you don't see how it's a bad thing? We lost our original forum accounts. All our posts, comments, reputation, support tickets, etc. We also lost access to specific platform Bugs subforum. For example, my original forum account was Nintendo Switch account but I cannot post in the Nintendo Switch Bugs subforum anymore because it automatically uses my new PC account when I log in to the website/forums. And it's not just people who merged/combined accounts, it's also affecting those who only linked accounts (like me). I play on both PC and Switch. We've had these forum accounts for years and now we're stuck with brand new forum accounts we don't care about and that were created merely for cross save.

Perfectly Explained I genuinely don’t know what to do with this account lol? So now when I experience a bug on my PlayStation console am I just screwed?

Hey everyone, I recently discovered that my forum profile has been reset, all posts I previously followed have been erased, along with my join date after I made my PC account. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but if this is, there should be an option to switch between profiles so you can at least see your old forum posts that you followed/wanted to follow. I'm kinda confused on this, anyone have information?

I thought that was the case, but since it is not displaying my in-game avatar, I was looking for a way to change it. On the main Warframe site, it shows correctly. But here it does not.

I am thinking it was too early to roll out cross-platform save.

I've had no interest in cross-save. That being said, two weeks ago the forum automatically logged me out and it's been a battle ever since. An endless loop of telling me I need to sign in, followed by telling me I'm already signed in.

Sometimes I couldn't even read the forum due to not being able to escape a page wanting me to provide additional info such as a username and email address.

I attempted to set up my account to be accessed via email but logging in that way led to a page claiming there was no account with that email -- despite having confirmation for it in my inbox -- and ultimately led back to the endless loop anyhow.

I tried all the obligatory things: clear cookies/cache, multiple browsers -- including private -- multiple devices, even someone else's phone and computer -- proving not a cookies/cache problem -- nothing worked.

It took support over a week to acknowledge me and the last thing I got from them was a couple of days ago that my request for help had been escalated to their web department. This morning everything is suddenly back to normal, which I discovered when I saw the icon for notifications.

I have no idea what prompted the failure, no idea what resolved it, and no idea if it's permanent. I do know this experience has made me even more skeptical of cross-save.

Yeah in the main Warframe site it shows correctly for me as well. But in the forums it is not updating correctly.

I had initially made another thread, but was pointed to this thread.  Adding my experience here.

My Warframe account is (PSN)Unstar.  I've never played on PC, so I had to make a new PC account to merge.  When I merged, I chose my PSN account as the primary account.

The first oddity was noticing that on Warframe's website, even after logging in and out with my PSN credentials, it shows me the name of my newly created PC account and not my long-standing PSN account.  Which is a bummer.  Nothing in the documentation suggested that my PC account would become the master account; it all suggested that I would be choosing the primary account which would become the cross-save account.  I would have chosen a different name for the new PC account if that had been transparent.

But the much bigger deal is that it seems like I'm now entirely disconnected from my previous forum and support ticket activities.  I have no forum history, no followed threads, no support tickets (even the ones that were still open), no blocked users, no ability to edit my old posts, no ability to even prove that I'm (PSN)Unstar in a conversation.  I even had to wait around an hour before making this post because I presume there's a waiting period between when a new account is created and when they're allowed to post to the forums.

In effect, my old account has been thrown in the trash, unable to be accessed, and I have this fresh new baby account.  And that's a huge bummer, because I spend a good chunk of time on the forums.

On one hand I get it, stuff happens.  But on the other hand, this seems like a huge oversight to not have in any way warned players about.  I'm disheartened.

After linking accounts (Switch, Pc and Xbox) I can only use the PC account on this Forum. All my old messages, posts, and interactions are now linked to my Pc account. 

The problem is that I can no more post on Switch or Xbox Bug report subforums. 

Also, I just discovered this today, if we have a cross save linked accounts, when participating on give aways, we must give our Pc account username, not the console ones, or we won't receive the prize.

Have you tried clearing site data and cookies for both https://forums.warframe.com and https://www.warframe.com? I can login to both my console account and PC account by choosing the appropriate portal after doing so. For a while, the forums would send me to my PC account regardless of login method, but clearing site data and cookies seems to have fixed that (for now).

Alternatively, try swapping to different browser (basically the same as clearing site data and cookies).

This has more or less been my experience as well. Also, even though the display name for this post is my PC account, I only posted from my Switch account pre-merge. So everything I've done on the forums merged as well, as far as I can tell.

About a month ago I reached out to support due to cross save issues. My issues and request were as follows:

I can no longer trade with any Playstation players, regardless if they have enabled cross save and cross play - tested both.

My original Playstation forum account is gone; I can only log into my new pc member forum account.

I would like for my in game account to revert back to the way it was, I am no longer interested in cross save, and I would also like my Playstation forum account back.

 

Support Desk Response:

"To be able to trade with Tennos across platforms, both players will need a Cross Platform Save Account and have Cross Platform Play enabled via the in-game settings."

 

With such a response, I can only assume that my request was not read, and a general reply was provided in order to simply close the request. Or, perhaps this is a support bug.

These changes have permanently altered my playstation account as I can no longer trade with any of my friends (regardless if they have enabled cross save/play), and my decade long forum account is gone. To make matters worse, the means to revert accounts back were never provided.

Also note worthy: the Warframe cross platform save page did not provide any warning pertaining to the restrictions of cross save, that information is on another page.

 

So far as I know, this is the worst cross save game implementation. It's difficult to believe that DE actually thought this through and decided it was a good idea.

Yes I’ve already tried that on both my mobile and PC. Tried with different browsers as well. It does not work. I am still forced into my PC account even when I choose Nintendo Switch and enter my Nintendo Switch login details. It logs me into my PC account.

I’m not sure what you mean when you say this was your experience and that your Switch forum account merged with your PC. It says your forum account is a PC account and that it was created in May 2023 which was before cross save even started.

I’ll try that now and I’ll also tell everyone to do the same in my OP post if it works for me ty for the info 

Edit: Just tried didn’t work either idk can you explain in fully what you did or if you account merged during the first trial or this most recent one?

I’m guessing they did the cross save only recently, when it reopened in January. After I cross saved in December (before the holiday) I was able to login to my original forum account, yes sometimes it would force log me into my new PC account but logging out and back in or using a different browser would fix it. But then that workaround stopped working and I lost access to my original forum account. This seems to be the same thing @(XBOX)TheWayOfWisdom is describing so they’ll probably also lose access to their original forum account soon.

I did my cross save in December.

  1. Sign out from the forums. If you get "Something went wrong. Please try again", then hit sign out again.
  2. You should be redirected to https://www.warframe.com/ after signing out. Clear site data and cookies from both https://forums.warframe.com and https://www.warframe.com/
  3. Login from https://www.warframe.com/, not https://forums.warframe.com, using the desired platform portal.
  4. Now when you go to https://forums.warframe.com, you should be logged in with the platform used in step 3.

It works consistently for me right now.

Yh just tried that too step by step and it still didn’t work maybe it’s because I’m on my mobile device? But I still cleared my browsers cache and cookies so idk I’ll try on my laptop when I have the time but for now I’m calling it quites until DE finally decides to fix their forums and portal designation

I did all that. It does not work. The forums aren’t working properly. Even our avatars are not updating.

It doesn't matter if you're on mobile or not. I tried on both my mobile and laptop and with different browsers. Nothing works. It's annoying that they haven't acknowledged the issue even though I am sure they are aware of it. Also zero response from the Support team.

Speaking to this, I recently linked a dud PC account to my ps account so I could join in on cross trading (this ended up being a horrible choice for many reasons). When I did a support ticket, I got an automated response to provide a PC log for the issue I was having. I have never played on PC but my account is now considered a PC account.

I feel like we’re being ignored atp the cross save bug forum is filled with people who lost their account progress cus they DIDNT READ and obviously PC players aren’t experiencing a problem as this is THEIR platform so obviously complaints aren’t being made so I’m taking this elsewhere too to see if we can finally get help it’s been a month since my ticket bro I’m tired

Their Support and response time is truly awful. I just keep getting an auto update email every week that says “we apologize once more for the delay in our response time” for this forum account issue. Okay how many times am I going to get this auto email, can you actually respond? 

I had another support ticket for a different case open for a while and when one of the Support members finally responded they said “We’re glad to hear your issue is resolved. If you find yourself experiencing this issue again, please do not hesitate to send us a ticket.” and they proceeded to close the ticket. Umm hello? I never said that my issue is resolved.
