  1. Having a seemingly related issues. Screen shake is off and I've had it set to off basically since the first day I started playing, but it seemingly turns itself back on after Dante Unbound's release. Setting shows off, screen shake happens for everything. Turning it "on", saving the setting, and then turning it back off will fix it for the play session but the setting doesn't seem to stick.
  2. This has more or less been my experience as well. Also, even though the display name for this post is my PC account, I only posted from my Switch account pre-merge. So everything I've done on the forums merged as well, as far as I can tell.
  3. Did you buy the skin after....whatever that cutoff date was, 11/24? If so, it wouldn't be accessible on other platforms. If not, that's probably an actual hiccup/bug.
  4. Correct, when you log in on a platform other than Switch the plat you had will be there. Any plat bought on Switch isn't shared with other platforms and any plat from other platforms isn't visible/shared on Switch.
  5. I just happened to have some downtime before I left for work this morning and I was able to do this. Been a Switch player since basically day 1 there, at one point during the Pandemic I messed with the game on PC for like...an hour, and I did basically a "Kullervo run" on PS5 earlier this fall. Picked Switch as my primary, merged my old and barely used PC and PS accounts into it and it all just seems to have worked perfectly. Logged in on my PS5 and everything seemed exactly as it should be. I only got to hop around my orbiter before I had to leave, but it was awesome. I cannot wait to dig into this after work.
  6. Got everything setup in like 2 minutes, easy as could be. My Switch account is now available on PlayStation and PC as on unified account. Everything seems to be be there and be perfect, I'm beyond stoked.
  7. I don't think you are ever going to get a timeline beyond what's already been stated in the OP. People tend to take things like that as hard lines no matter much DE might preface it. These threads are already messy, can you you even imagine what happens when they miss a deadline? I'll give you a hint, come to this thread after the end of the business day on Friday when they're supposed to be gone for the holiday. Or come in here if it isn't available to every one at 12:01 on January 1st. In my mind they have been as clear as is feasible with a rollout of this size and complexity. DE can't anticipate every possible variable or issue that might come up. They've said their intent is 2023 for all of us, they have to do it slowly (or slowish) to make sure they don't break everyone's stuff. They've provided an update every day so far. The only thing we can do is wait. No timeline, no feedback, nothing you can say or do on these forums is going to change how soon you get access to this feature.
  8. I said rough, not concise? And there is 11 days left of 2023 and 19 as of the original post. Look at the platform I'm on, if you don't think I'm anxious to be free of it, you'd be wrong. But I also know that frothing isn't going to change anything, they haven't missed their intended targets yet, AND they've had posts every business day about it since it began.
  9. A rough timeline...like the one in the OP? Where it literally says their, "Intention is to get this in everyone's hands in 2023"? Or the timeline Reb said about waves being spread over days, not weeks or months? Those seem like rough timelines to me. I can get the idea of wanting more details on how the waves will be structured, but they've been pretty clear with their intent/goals since this post went up.
  10. My guess is that anyone who actually got this to work got it to work as a fluke. Given the entire point of this process being the way it is is to be able to give access in controlled, set groups, allowing people to bypass that by just buying a PA NOW would seem...counter to the whole plan.
  11. Linking, if I understand the process correctly, will completely wipe out anything you've done on your PS4/PS5 account and "replace" it with your PC account. You'll be able to play our PC account on your Playstation, but that Playstation account will be lost. Based on what you've written, I think you could designate your PC account as your main, merge the Playstation account into it, and at least keep anything spiffy you might have on PS. But if you don't care about the PS account at all, then I think you have the right of it.
  12. Is there ANY evidence of this at all? This idea runs counter to the idea of the drip feed. If a group of impatient players with money to spend can just buy their way into cross save before they would otherwise be able to...it kinda defeats the whole point. It's probably anyone who bought a PA before today. That way it is a set, finite, group.
  13. My assumption is sample size. Big enough to be impactful in the process while also not so big that if something major went wrong that it was an insane timeframe to fix.
  14. I'm sure someone will come in and confirm, but I would assume you can't? I believe that, barring specific circumstances, you aren't even supposed to have two accounts on the same platform and if you DO they can't ever interact. No trading, no gifting, no assisting, no nothing. I assume this extends to trying to merge accounts that exist on the same platform.
  15. I don't think that it is remotely predatory, especially if you can't impact when you get in a wave by buying a PA right now. You have to break people apart in some fashion and it wasn't going to be "fair" to someone regardless. If it was random people would feel they weren't getting something they were entitled to as vets. If it was highest MR first people would think that "not grinding things" made them second class. If it was account creation date everyone who joined on Switch or later would be upset as they were, at best, middle of the pack. There is no clean solution here that makes everyone happy.
  16. Interesting choice of metrics to select this wave. I kind of assumed it would be something like Mastery Rank as the really high MRs are sparsely populated enough to keep things small-ish while they ramp up. But every eligible PC account that has bought ANY PA seems like it must be a huge number of potential people. I was expecting double digit waves for this process, but it might be much less and quicker barring no major implosions
  17. Honestly performance and loads have gotten better on Switch. A load into Plains is like 35ish seconds now rather than 2 minutes. But it also chugs hard if you aren't solo and you need only log into the game on basically... anything else to realize how behind the Switch is on performance.
  18. As far as I know, the answer to this is no. I don't believe they've even said anything about what metrics, if any, they'll use to determine who is in a given wave.
  19. This seems mostly fixed as of today. Most syandanas hang much more naturally off his back again. Maybe still not 100% how it once was, but they actually don't look terrible now. The draping as part of his actual model still doesn't hang quite how it used to, but things are much improved today.
  20. Considering we have...2 business days and change until Whispers and the first wave of this is supposed to launch with it, it's kind of amazing how much info we don't have. I was really hoping the last devstream was going to deep dive on this, but it didn't really at all. They got out ahead of the Tennogen stuff, which good on them, but I see tons of questions here and in other Warframe spaces about how merges are actually going to function. I know for me, I just want to know how they're handling the waves for this. Obviously Founders are leading the charge, but then what? Account creation dates? Hours played? Platforms? Mastery Rank? What metric/metrics are they going to use as the expand the program out for us all to use?
  21. Really seems like leaving it the way it was this week would be A) easier and B) in line with the messaging we were all familiar with until like earlier this week. Edit: Just to put a bit more substance here, this change is really baffling to me. While the permanent acts are much easier and will be great for newer folks, it feels like it will be objectively worse (or at least grossly more tedious) for anyone trying to play catchup. It also just doesn't really sit right that we've known about these changes for what...a month or more? Everyone paying attention knew what we were getting but then the new Nightwave launches and we're all told, after launch no less, that what they laid out is somehow also not what was intended. THEN you couple that with the fact that the permanents were not going to be recoverable, but then they've seemingly walked that part back and I can't help but think, "what are you guys even doing?" This just feels like the most unforced error Warframe has had in a while and I can't even see the logic in these choices.
  22. I spent the weekend battling this. I found that pressing both melee and trigger buttons at the same time (I have melee with fire input on) was a fairly consistent way of getting it to stop. Still incredibly annoying and problematic especially if it happens in a bad spot/situation.
  23. That is a good point as well. If you are skipping from a place mid-game, let's say, maybe DE could offer a discount off whatever the base "skip everything" price is. I don't think that would be unfair. Maybe they could roll that tech into deluxe bundles so we could get a deal if we only own a piece of it 😜 20 bucks, or the plat equivalent is pretty close to what I imagine the sweet spot to be. Not so expensive that it's gross, but enough to give someone who has never played a little pause. The plat equivalent is also not so bad that, if the gifting Reb mentioned were put in, that a vet couldn't farm/sell some stuff to be able to gift it to someone they were trying to bring in.
  24. For returning players, I guess this could work, but what about new players who really just want to play the new thing? You are introducing more choices with no context for what's actually being skipped. If the ultimate goal is onboarding people who are put off by the sheer volume of content they are required to chew through to do the thing shown off in the new trailer, more options just muddies that. Warframe can be really muddy and confusing as it is, especially when you're new. This solution really just seems like someone would have to google "what's the best story skip to buy" because they'd have no clue. All or nothing, which updates what "all" is as we progress with more story quests, seems to me the cleanest option. It needs to be simple, not so expensive (or so in your face) that it is immediately off-putting, but also not so cheap that everyone says "just buy the skip". If getting in on the new thing gets players into the game, they'll go back and check out the content they skipped, it's not like it isn't there for them to do so.
