I've done it quite a lot of times before- growing long hair and then cutting it short. Can't decide which is better *shrugs* Why did you cut down your mane? A lot of gents look much better with long hair and a lot of ladies look cuter with short, imo. (Must be because long hair draws attention to the shoulders, which are broad and strong on men, and short hair emphasizes the neck, which is delicate on women.) A lot of the hairs had snapped, so no matter how I put it up, I'd get hairs in my face annoying the heck out of me. This was especially annoying when I moved to a new apartment, and had to put in now floors, so I so fed up in the end that I just took my electric clippers and cut everything off.
