  1. If Darvo had more things to offer and in greater quantities, he'd be more useful and feel less like a sad old huckster. Wow. Strange isn't quite the word I'd use 😛
  2. To waste our time perhaps? No wait, sorry - it's to further motivate us to go to the Relays. That's it. That said, it's not working...at least for me.
  3. So what's your point? That because she's popular and does arguably stupid things because she can, that it's perfectly ok for everyone to go out and copy what she does? God's Teeth, some of you players can be complete and utter sheep at times. Shy is a **** poster with an opinionated, snarky, flippant, "up yours" attitude and question taste who does whatever she feels like doing. That should tell you something right there. Now, to address some of the visible backlash here from various apologists, fans and white knights here: Everyone's free to spend their plat however they want. You want to throw 100p (or more) at a moving decoration, I'm not going to stop your arguably foolish behavior, but you don't ever get to tell me or anyone else here that complaining about arguably unfair pricing is dumb and a waste of time. Take that demeaning, elitist attitude and throw it into a black hole. Yes, it's a cosmetic, it's purely optional, and I don't have to buy it. I'm well aware of that. Conversely, I don't have to give DE 100p for an overpriced decoration that moves around and probably won't get to see most of the time. At least with a custom skin, i get to see my purchase in action most of the time, while I'm actually running missions. That's kinda what we play Warframe for. The combat. Not futzing around on your orbiter. On a side note, if you spend more time on your Orbiter than in the field...you might want to consider playing something else. The argument that "you just want stuff for free" is flat out WRONG and nothing but a short-sighted strawman. My original post suggested that I'd be willing to pay up to half of what it costs right now...or did you people conveniently miss that part? Fine, I'll spell out. I'd be willing to pay 35 - 50p for a Domestik. Not more. The argument that "100p is easy to get" is largely irrelevant. I'm not spending 100p on something that I feel isn't actually worth 100p, no matter much plat might be in my account. I could have 1 mil plat and I still wouldn't buy a Domestik, because unlike some people, I care about what I invest my plat in. Finally, let's stop fooling ourselves into believing that Domestik actually cleans the floors, m'kay? Because it doesn't. I'm out for now. Caveat Emptor y'all.
  4. Not even adding those little things would justify needing to dropping 100p on a Corpus Roomba - especially when one can pay 75p for a built and potato'd Sentinel that is FAR more useful to the player. Domestik is a cosmetic that moves around, nothing more. Note: I haven't bought the thing and I don't plan to unless the price drops to 35-50p, because frankly 100p is a rip-off. The Orbiter's floor has been clean since you started playing Warframe. I mean it's nice to pretend that your 100p toy is going around and cleaning the floors for you, but let's not fool ourselves by saying the thing is ACTUALLY cleaning the floors. Ordis already notifies us about messages and the game already culls certain repeated messages after a while.
  5. Everyone knows that Fashion Frame > Everything Else /s Kinda funny how not too long ago DE took 3 updates to get Mesa Prime's butt just right for players. That should tell you something right there... That would be nice, wouldn't it?
  6. Someone who actually gets it! I think, honestly, this is more an issue with how insanely powerful the devs have allowed us to become. If we want to enrich the melee combat experience, we need to be able to fight things that have a bit more meat to them. No, buffing enemies isn't the solution. Rather, our max power level needs to drop a bit. I think weapons themselves are largely ok, but I'd argue the REAL culprit lies in the bonuses we get from mods. Some of those bonuses are ridiculously good. This. There have been situations where in attacking an opponent in melee, I've moved out of the position I wanted to stay in for whatever reason. This takes control of movement AWAY from the player and IMO this is seldom ever a good thing.
  7. As if he needs nerfing...I'd say bug, but need to test to make sure.
  8. Seriously, 100 Plat for something no bigger than a Sentinel that does nothing but move around at random in your Orbiter / Dojo...when 75 Plat can buy you a Sentinel that actually does useful things for the player? From my point of view, 100p for a moving decoration is a rip-off and DE should be ashamed of themselves. The price should drop to at least half that, if not further, and players that have already paid for the Domestik should be refunded the difference. Disclaimer: Yes I did want to buy the Domestik for my Orbiter when it was announced, because I do think it looks cool and would liven up the environment. However, I refuse to spend 100p on a decoration that moves around at random. It's a toy - and one you can't even play with I may add. That said, lets not fool ourselves into thinking that the Domestik actually cleans anything, ok? Because it doesn't. Players that can and do readily spend plat like it's water need not respond to this thread. Likewise, I couldn't care less if what I have to say here is unpopular with the "cool kids" around here. Mods and Admins, if this Topic is not in the right place, my apologies. Feel free to move it.
  9. I think Oberon's pretty safe. A 300 HP buff is nice...but Wisp can't provide a constant heal and armor buff. Nor can she instantly remove status effects - which, trust me, can be VERY helpful. Oberon built for high Strength and Range, low shields, and Rage / Hunter Adrenaline can keep players alive pretty well and still be able to dish out respectable damage. The only problem my Umbral Rage Oberon has is when a Nekros player decides to be a jerk and constantly spam SoTD despite being asked not to. I can't really comment too much on how powerful Wisp is as I haven't built her yet, but the Wisps I've seen in action so far lead me to tentatively think that she's fairly well balanced and doesn't step on too many toes. At least for the time being. Given DE's track record, I'm honestly surprised that her 4 doesn't instantly melt enemies on contact.
  10. Frankly I hate Nekros players that spam SoTD when it's been made clear that I'm trying to keep everyone alive and they ignore me. Because 1. They're stopping me from doing my job and 2. They don't care about how their selfish actions affect others.
  11. Bringing back regular alerts would be a good start. Just saying.
  12. Unreliable means of acquiring Nitain I may add, as Nitain is a POSSIBLE reward. At least when regular Alerts were a thing, you had 4 Alerts a day that were guaranteed to reward Nitain.
  13. Thanks again for the huge update! The added gear, improved tilesets, Visual / QOL changes, removal of random mod packs (this REALLY helps the new player experience), and the implementation of fixes and changes that help benefit the Warframe experience are all greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I don't see any mention of fixes and solutions for the following bugs and issues in the update notes, so here's a polite reminder. - Arch-guns being largely mediocre in comparison to regular ranged weapons when used as ground weapons. - Arguably lackluster rewards for Arbitrations. - Loss of functionality of Exalted melee weapons when playing as a Client. - Nekros Shadows being affected by Renewal, thus posing a massive and unreasonable energy drain on Oberon players. - Broken firing animations for Phaedra when used as a Heavy Weapon. This was actually fixed! Thanks! - Broken animations for Grattler in general. - Broken animations for Atlas' "robes": The left one tends to bunch up and push to one side when large, bulky primary weapons (like Ogris and Plasmor) are equipped. - Broken animations and fx / sfx for Sarpa if attack speed is modded too high. - Deployment animations for Garuda's Talons resetting to inactive after performing a stealth kill. - Weapons glitching occasionally when Baruuk switches out from Serene Storm. - Nyx, Vauban and Wukong being generally boring and almost completely out-classed by meta DPS Frames such as Saryn, Mesa, Volt, Equinox, etc. - Saryn, Mesa, Volt, Equinox and Mag still being arguably non-coop friendly by being able to dominate / nuke small defense maps with ridiculous ease. All players should be able to contribute and participate in missions in meaningful ways, not be bored to tears because someone decided to delete most of the enemies for everyone with a powerful and easy to spam ability. - Spin 2 Win dominating melee due to Maiming Strike being always available while conferring massive bonuses to an easily spammable attack move. Maiming Strike being made reliant on Channeling to circumvent this...when? - The Wolf of Saturn Six being a boring bullet-sponge and gear-check enemy that punishes players for head-shotting and who rewards us for our troubles with a subpar drop table that has mods you can easily get anywhere else. Yes he's "weaker" now...but he's still a boring sponge. A Nox is a more interesting and reasonable opponent than the Wolf. - Host Migrations NOT "pausing" the game at times, wherein enemies will still attack and do damage to the player. This has been an issue for years and it can be game-breaking. - Host Migrations sometimes resulting in a failed mission with a loss of all rewards and pickups. - Energy colors being bugged / broken for certain Warframes, weapons, accessories, and abilities. - Nitain Extract being locked behind Nightwave credits and an arguably unreliable reward system (Sabotage & Cetus Bounty, the latter only when Ghouls are present). Also, it would be really appreciated if you all could: - Allow us, if it's possible, to opt out of certain Warframe abilities (such as Volt's Speed and Limbo's Rift portals) via a game preference toggle. We can turn off Octavia's sounds for other players because of how intrusive they can be, so why not potentially intrusive abilities? Not everyone wants to be Banished or wind up running around like a Russian Dwarf Hamster on meta-amphetamines. Win-win for all, with no need for a player to have to "manually opt out" by rolling / dodging every time an intrusive ability is activated and winds up adversely affecting said player. - Buff fashion frame / customization a bit and give us a color wheel picker to choose colors from. Grey out color blocks on the wheel that are associated with palletes that a player doesn't own. - Bring back manual blocking for melee. Because 1. stances and a couple of mods use blocking and 2. auto-blocking can be really inconvenient and irritating. - Make Ogris fun again and give it a semi-auto trigger. Make the rockets only detonate after they've traveled 6m (at least), for obvious safety reasons. - Bring back regular Alerts for players that either can't or don't want to deal with Nightwave. We players appreciate having options. - Lower the credit cost to build Ephemera to 10k credits and drop the resource costs by 90%. It's a purely cosmetic item that does nothing but leave footprints / trails that disappear after a few seconds. Also, if these are supposed to be a prestige item / bage of honor...they need to be a GUARANTEED reward when reaching a particular milestone. If not, lower the grind needed to acquire them please. Thanks for reading. No, I don't care if certain points I've made here are unpopular. If something on this list HAS been addressed, I will amend it accordingly.
  14. Congrats. You just discredited your argument with an opinionated, insulting hand wave.
  15. And that's the problem. You're incapable of seeing past your own biased experience. Lotus forbid other people MIGHT have a different experience than you. Someone's experience not matching up with yours doesn't necessarily make them wrong. Last I checked, believing that there isn't an issue doesn't actually preclude an issue from existing. Might want to lay off with the hostile, condescending attitude there, bucky. It's not doing you any favors here.
  16. I'm guessing that this will take place after the update, correct?
  17. What's happening with the energy color changes that were mentioned in the last dev stream?
  18. Indeed! Definitely agreed. Heavy Impact is, arguably, too situational to be really useful. In addition, the AoE is fairly meager and based solely off of impact speed, when it should also take into account height from ground as well. It's nice that equipping Heavy Impact on Rhino buffs his passive, but that's not saying much when the ability is rather restricted to begin with. Perhaps Heavy Impact should also take into account the amount of Armor the Warframe has as well. With regard to the rest of Rhino's kit, I'd like to see Roar generate aggro within a sizable radius. Seriously, it should...because common sense and logic. Roaring loudly does and should command attention. I'd also like to see Charge allow Rhino to regain lost health from enemies that are gored by his charge attack. If at full health, perhaps even allow gored enemies to overcharge his health for a limited amount of time with an upper limit as to how much health Rhino can have overharged (similar to how rubble buffs Atlas' armor).
  19. I used to play the right game when I first picked it up back in 2013, but I'm increasingly of the opinion that it isn't. The grind was fine and tolerable. I could play at a leisurely pace and get the gear that appealed to me within a few days. As a reward for respecting my time and for making a visible effort at delivering enjoyable content, I spent a fairly crazy amount of dosh on the game. I felt the devs had earned it and I wanted to see the game improve. Then things like the Hema, Sibear, Vauban Prime, and Knux started to happen. I spent less and less money but still kept playing. A few months ago, with the advent of the Fortuna update and associated new content (and grind), DE has lost enough respect from me that I now refuse to fund them by buying plat or PA. I've even stopped recommending the game to prospective new players. If it gets any grindier and buggier, I'll outright drop the game until such time as they tone things done a bit. You want my money and time, DE? Earn it by respecting your player-base's time and effort better. You had a really good FTP model back in the day - before you got bought out. It's still better than the FTP models used in other games...but not, arguably, by much. So if you want a healthy game... grinding for the sake of grinding is healthy for the game...how? Given the number of people that complain regularly about the level of grind and burnout, I'd say that the current level of said grind it's pretty unhealthy...especially when said people wind up going on hiatus or out-right dropping the game. Yes, the number of registered users is in the millions...but how many of those users are actively playing? 42+mil registered users doesn't mean much if a sizable chunk of those accounts are dead because of burnout from grind. Player retention is not one of WF's strong points, and while player burnout isn't the only reason for that (new player experience still arguably sucks), it's a pretty good reason nonetheless.
  20. Strawman / slippery slope. Existing and future gear would logically be balanced off a baseline. For me, that would be enough reason to ditch it. I play to have fun, not to grind for the sake of grinding. Black and white thinking / slippery slope fallacy. You know this...how exactly?
  21. Quoted for truth. New players shouldn't have to rely on an outside source to grasp some of the more complex FUNDAMENTALS of the game. It also doesn't help that the tutorials that cover those fundamentals are buried in the codex and the codex console itself isn't advertised as much as it ought to be when players first start out. Seriously, that new player I told you all about? She had no idea that there was a codex, let alone an ingame tutorial system, until I told her about it. I'll say it again: New players shouldn't have to rely on an outside source to master the fundamentals of the game and the ingame tutorials need to be better advertised / more accessible than they are. Honestly, I don't blame new players for giving up so quickly. The amount of stuff they're exposed to can be extremely intimidating and frustrating. ...and promptly given up in frustration I may add. I'm willing to bet that at least 25% of all those millions of registered users are long dead accounts that have a month or less of actual gameplay on them. That said, I regret that I have only one upvote to give your post.
  22. This and agreed. Largely because it's solo-only and most newbies won't have the daka, rank mods, or resiliency to finish the last mission without some kind of additional help. I had a new player join my clan very recently (MR 4) who was immensely frustrated at not being able to clear the mission by herself - and of course I couldn't join up with her. So I asked her if she had any Phase Specter BP's in her inventory. She said yes. I suggested she build and equip them in her gear wheel. Next day I get a virtual glomp and a message saying she finally cleared the quest by the skin of her teeth with the aide of a Phase Specter.
