  1. yeah it's a case where if you decided to do this already elsewhere, then doesn't that mean you decide it's already necessary. heh i sorta feel like it's appropriate in Volatile, however also appropriate that Alchemy lets it just sit there and hang, since there's Tokens to be looking for so the Player may have a good reason to be ignoring the Objective. maybe rather than failure, if the thing is totally overheated it just starts to gradually move the Objective backwards in progress or something. Mirror Defense doesn't address how pretty boring Defense is still anyways, but it's something i guess, yes.
  2. hmm. i mean, yeah may as well, seeing as Alerts and such already do that. however, another angle can be that.... normal Excavations don't scale to Mission Level, even though all newer types of Excavations do. so like, updating that could also address that too.
  3. if the Verification Account has received enough PM's that its Inbox is totally full, i guess you'll just have to wait for a bit. try again Tomorrow or something.
  4. i know this is a BIG request, but the way i'd solve the issue is by overhauling the way the Abilities function. Light/Dark is part of the theme, so the Abilities should actually make use of it. what this means is partially redesigning the Abilities to let you partially control Light/Dark. allowing you to guide the general direction of how things will go, but not giving you full control over it. (if it gave you complete control then the theme wouldn't work at all and it would just be a bland, boring, uninspired toggle, meh) some facets that already are present that can be used for this are: Prism can be considered a bright lightsource, and so pushing you to Light buff, and maxing out the gradient. Sleight of Hands' Blind Mine can be considered a bright lightsource, giving you a temporary buff to the Light, but at partial gradient. like 50-66% of your buff strength. however the Warframe doesn't currently already contain any ways that you'd create darkness. but this is the direction that the Warframe should go IMO. the Abilities create a mix of Light and Dark, letting you and resulting in you flipping between Light and Dark depending on how you're Casting the Abilities. you could even allow having both sides at once perhaps, but at reduced maximum effectiveness. so like, you can have the Light and Dark buff simultaneously but if you do then they're capped to 50% of their potential. i should additionally note that IMO the gradient scaling of the Light/Dark is an integral part of Mirages' theme. and not only should be kept, should be emphasized. that becoming a core pillar of all of Mirages' Abilities would be great. also the Abilities interacting together more would certainly be nice. Prism has a Light gradient scale built into it already, but separate from Eclipse. it should definitely be affected by Eclipse since that's just cooler. whether it keeps the separate gradient it already has i don't have a strong opinion on. Hall of Mirrors could cause Mirage to throw 3 Prisms instead of one, however reducing their Damage to say, 40% of normal to compensate. similarly, Sleight of Hand and yes Explosive Legerdemain by consequence, scaling with Eclipses' gradient would be more interesting. however all of these adjustments would predicate on Mirage being able to have some control over lighting, so that you're not just stuck with your Abilities not doing what you want/need at the moment. having the Terrain affect the maximum potential of your Abilities is fine, you just need to be able to steer it to some degree irregardless of the Terrain. the mentioned note of beams/spotlights of Light and Dark is in a way a part of what i'm thinking, but rather it being just for Eclipse, that it would be a part of the entire Warframe, probably a part of the ""Passive"", i.e that it would be an intrinsic part of Mirage that the Abilities work with. some of the Abilities would themselves be creating the Light/Dark zones and potentially even move around, others would be creating localized zones for the buffs. and that would give the Player the ability to do that 'mixing both' choice, too. that does leave the visual indication of what is bright/dark. it might work out to have Eclipse paint the Terrain with a Shader to help indicate what is bright or dark. kinda similar to how Equinoxs' Mend/Maim paints a Shader on the Terrain. just that this one would help express the Contrast between light and dark. that could be a Shader everyone can see or just for Mirage, either is fine. and yes i know that this does end up leaving the issue of light sources having to have the Flags or Clipping Planes or whatever you guys are using for this Terrain interaction as it is. i'm not trying to ask for the highest amount of work possible intentionally, just what has the best feeling and the best match to express and strengthen the theme. plus that yeah i've basically just asked for a full rework so to speak, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: you know, that's kinda cool. this could be used along with the rest of what i said, to further emphasize the theme and adding another layer to the mixture of control and chaos that is suitable for the theme of Mirage.
  5. could just add another Arcane rather than deleting one that already exists, though? shrug.
  6. hmm, that's the first time i've seen someone have a reasonable suggestion for Toxin. limiting instances of Toxin Damage and Status to 50% of your Health could cover what People are looking for without removing Toxin as the only thing that provides a threat to Health to make the Player ever consider their Health rather than just making their Shields (and thesedays Gating) more effective.
  7. for posterity, 'Cheating Software' is the default way they express everything - the words themselves aren't very important as a result. what they mean is 'something happened we decided we do not like'.
  8. so, probably. VPN's... they are and aren't allowed to be used with Warframe anymore. a sea of gray like usual. (this isn't new as of this Week though, their Policy change was like.... ballpark a Year ago or something? sorry i don't have the exact Date) in short, if there are any georestrictions on you or anything Payment/Currency related, basically anything except connection stability issues, anything at all, and don't be too surprised if ones' Account ends up getting hit as a result of the VPN. the game may or may not decide at any time that your traffic coming over the VPN looks like trying to dodge georestrictions or anything else.
  9. the true Savage Deviljho experience (Defense Down debuff Icon)
  10. idk like 98% of my Multiplayer Missions work just fine Host Migrations happen but tend to go fine.
  11. i'm pretty interested in the game(though also pretty interested in Hundreds of others), but i decide whether i'm going to Buy/play a game in the Week(s) after a game is Released, not anytime before then.

    Data Breach

note that at this time i don't think Warframe has had a Data hit recently. there appear to have been two leaks sometime during 2014 and 2017. at this moment i'm not aware of any newer Data than that for Warframe. the 'moab' package has a lot of old data in it to be clear. and a lot of duplicates - so while many locations are included in it, the majority of the data isn't actually new. however, changing Passphrases for your Accounts across the Internet isn't difficult to do, so i'm not telling you not to do that, anyways.
  13. it's the same as it always has been. Gauss is faster for short burst distances, and Volt or other Warframes with general speed buffs, for longer extended distances. wasn't this common knowledge already? idk oh also it's easier for other Warframes to scale their capabilities than for Gauss. Gauss has to stack Sprint Speed which is harder to stack than Ability Strength plus a bit of Sprint Speed on the side.
  14. all of these new Shard bonuses are functionally Multiplicative AFAIK (treated as unique bonuses). so the calculation is straightforward - whatever the before/after values of your Ability will be, Divide one by the other and you will have the delta. smaller by larger for how much you're losing, and larger by smaller for how much you're gaining (you're losing in this scenario, so go that avenue). assuming that your Strength is already quite high, i fully expect the Elec bonus to be better than the bit of Strength you're losing, without even doing the calculation. but if you do the calculation, then if you're at 3.72x now then your Ability values at 3.67 / 3.72 (it's best to use the actual values of the Abilities, but using your Strength value can also be acceptable). and that Electricity Bonus is 1.15x your total Damage.
  15. please do eventually. i just Abort Mission at that point, it's faster to start the Mission over. (for posterity, i can assure for certain that Mission conversions are purely by chance, no actions of the Player are considered)
  16. it was recently made aware to me (about a Month ago but i forgot to bring it up) that apparently Warframe is capable of arbitrary values, but it isn't presented in the UI. so this feature already exists, but 99.9% of users just can't use it. in ee.cfg you can apparently add the Flag and enter any arbitrary value you want and it will apply it. so this makes addressing this more simple than expected - you literally already have this feature, but the UI does not present it. again, without being able to set arbitrary Limiter values, you are making your game almost entirely incompatible with VRR Displays, despite them being very common thesedays (i'd say in 1st World regions 80-90% of all People have a VRR capable Display). remediating this is important. the precision of this Limiter also leaves something to be desired anyways, it's a bit on the fuzzy side (i measure a Variation of +/- ~1ms avg, up to +/- ~1.5ms at worst, it also tends to drift off of the target and just not hit it in average to begin with), but one thing at a time there, presenting the important feature at all is the first step.
  17. if those purchases are going to be added to the Sheet, it'll be soon ™ . technically it isn't directly under the umbrella the Sheet normally covers, but it is appropriate for that to end up on the Sheet, eventually. or some Days, or some Weeks. or only after it's brought up that it was forgotten about. i wouldn't really consider it to have a reliably consistent history. sometimes it's on time, sometimes it isn't.
  18. use a Passphrase Database(aka password manager, whatever you like to call it). don't use a Text File/note. there's many types available, pick a type that suits you. it's extremely impractical to think you're going to remember all of your Hundreds of Accounts without a Passphrase Database, so everyone should be using some form of one. since this is going to affect far more than just your Warframe Account, will affect your entire life though while i'm here, if you wanted a suggestion as a direction to start looking, i'd direct you towards Bitwarden(https://bitwarden.com/) as it is an Open Source independent service that is extremely focused on user sanctity and overall security above else. no bigtech farming your data to be found there. and it's still newbie friendly to use. you can even host your own Bitwarden shard if you don't want to sync to their Service. there's other Open Source options, but Bitwarden mixes the most user convenience in of them, so it's the friendliest to those that aren't as tech savvy.
  19. it is certainly a very unusual design, the traditional Ability Mods not scaling Mach Rush at all, and so Mods that were never intended to be used as Ability scalars are pushed into that. and since they weren't originally designed to be, the possibility of imperfect results is a lot higher. i think your best avenues to remediate this in the meantime would be to use both Dispatch Overdrive and Arcane Phantasm. they'll add some quirks to your Gameplay, but they will reduce your Modding tension on the Warframe, too.
  20. there isn't really a way to do that. though.... you should be able to restart Vor's Prize and such, if you want to play those Quests over again. go to your Codex and you should be able to restart any Quest you've already finished. (you won't get any Rewards a second time, but you can replay it)
  21. i'm not up for adding my own bulk of Text but i'll remind that recent Content additions in the past couple Years or so have been largely pretty 'wonderful' - in the sense that there's cool stuff to see and do, and interesting Rewards/l00t to get, but also setup where it's play as much or as little as you want, whenever you want. play it and get it in your own time. with Content trending in that direction, then it seems fit for this aspect of the game (Relics and Traces) to similarly trend in a direction that feels a lot better.
  22. that is quite interesting. since you're on a Notebook anyways, if you run the game in Exclusive Fullscreen (only applicable for Dx11, Dx12 does not support this legacy feature, games which present it are presenting Borderless + a Video Mode flicker, basically fake), the background like your Desktop will be automatically unloaded while the game is presenting - for what that's worth. on systems with more GPU resources i don't normally recommend this, as Windows has already addressed multitasking capabilities as long as one has a fairly recent GPU, so games in Borderless is just better so that you can easily multi-task across multiple Displays without extra hassle for no gain. but users on Notebooks tend to not have multiple Displays and iGPU's need any help they can get, so in your case, it makes sense.
  23. unless it was like 500,000pts worth of trade-in value or something, lmao
  24. some effects work, but a greatly reduced set. the ones that work usually tend to be lower scale/impact ones, which to me is a good way to handle balancing all of that. but there's a couple larger scale/impact features, and that's a different matter. even so my usual stance of reduced effectiveness over things magically not working, still applies. would prefer their effectiveness to be reduced on Overguard, rather than just not working for no good reason.
  25. they mean they don't want to be forced to have Binds that they don't use. i.e. having to set some Binds to a random far away Button so that you're allowed to close the Menu.
