Why is Gara not an eidolon slayer frame?

I don't think all frames should be eidolon specialists, but the lore mentions Gara as having these capabilities.

What DE mentions in lore is in no way related to the actual gameplay of the frame.

That's why they don't even have lore for the recent frames.

if you're talking in universe, then nevermind because i don't really do Lore - but if you mean in Gameplay, because Gara doesn't have any Damage Multiplying Abilities, nor Healing Abilities that would suffice there (the Splinter Storm Augment would be passable for Players, but for the Lures it would not be effective).

while you could in theory build splinter Storm up to deal enough Damage to do more than plink the Eidolons, it would take far too long to do, not to mention that it would get canceled numerous times per Mission when using Archwing for transportation?

Well, it's a major lore thing around which whole earth open world hangs. And you are right. New frames are dry af. Lore is always good. Even if it's a 5 min segment.

Yeah, one of the major disappointing things in recent releases.

It mentions Gara taking a BOMB into the Sentient and blowing itself up with it.

The topic says it all.

(If it has been posted before, so be it, I haven't read any, and I don't plan to dig in to find one either.)

If you read her lore, it tales that she slay what once the collection of all Eidolons using a bomb crafted by the Unum, not by her own ability.

Honestly speaking I have wondered the same myself ever since she was released. I mean, she slayed these big sentients/eidolons, right? Well, if so with what skills? And alone? No team at all?

I don't really mind it except for the fact that they make her out to be this huge OP frame, when we need a meta team to take out just flimsy half dead sentient parts. And ironically she doesn't really have anything specially designed for Eidolon hunting. Small details sure, but a bit immersion breaking imo.

If anything, doesn't that make her achievements more impressive? Pure skill.

She fought the Sentient before that several times.

This sounds more of why isn't Gara a meta eidolon slayer

Technically, any frame can be used to take down an eidolon, it's just how efficient you are at doing it, and if the Warframe powers complement to make the fight easier.

Im sure you can easily do a 1x3 with Gara solo once you're familiar with the eidolon mechanics.

That's why we use Chroma+Volt+Trin+Harrow. Not because of lore, but because it's mechanically more efficient.

To no avail until she decided to blow herself up.

Well, yes, but she was able to stand up to them.

Remember, the Eidolons we fight are greatly nerfed because they're running on autopilot basically, not aiming at us. So any Eidolons that she fought would be a great deal more powerful and very much trying to aim at her (as opposed to just firing stuff off somewhat randomly as they do now), so it's a matter of relative perspective. Doing anything under those conditions is impressive.
