Flying_Scorpion
She says: For ten years I have been polishing this sword; Its frosty edge[4] has never been put to the test. Now I am holding it and showing it to you, sir: Is there anyone suffering from injustice? Does she have [North Wind[ and [Buzz Kill] modded on it? Edit: quick Google search pulls up this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jia_Dao Just to add to this, which is on point: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youxia The citation indicates that “frosty edge” is a reference to the blade edge being extremely sharp because it has never seen combat. The Chinese “Knights” in folklore valued Freedom and Military Virtue, seeking out injustices to test themselves against.
SneakyErvin
It is an old common term used in several cultures, it simply means that the blade of the weapon has never drawn blood in combat and gotten warm.
nslay
I thought it had to do with Lady Justice Liberty (the version that holds a sword and scale). I am very surprised it was a direct translation of a Chinese poem! EDIT: OK, that's actually Lady Justice. Oldskinzz
Similar terms such as "cold" and "chill" have traditionally been used in literature to describe swords or blades. "Frosty" follows this line. The simplest reason being that steel is normally cool to the touch compared to its environment. There's a scientific explanation to that, but we'll not need to go into specifics. Of course it could also point to a story behind Nora's sword but... in the absence of such a story coming to light, the first explanation is probably it.
