A Female Insect themed Warframe. A sort of Brood Mother or Hive Queen. I can imagine not only the amount of potential for her arthropod-like design, but her various abilities. Such abilities could range from spawning larvae in battle, web traps, pheromones to manipulate enemies, etc. She could definitely be used as a form of Battle manipulation warframe in the context of strategy.

I've been sitting on this one for nearly a year now (04/28/2019 according to my discord logs), so this is the perfect time to flesh it fully out and see what folks think.

The Soldier - a Corpus Bursa inspired frame

We all know the tech the Corpus use was once of Orokin design. When the empire fell their things were just left lying around for the takers to claim them. And Nef Anyo has claimed a lot of it.

But now one of those things has awoken.

The Soldier. The Spartan. The Protector. These are but a few of the many names it was called. Armed with powerful shield generators and the mighty Cannon-Lance the Soldier now returns to the battlefield to defend those who are in need in these dark times.

It was from the Soldier that the deadly Bursa was designed, the Corpus scientists peeling back the layers to salvage what learning they could. Now it is your turn Tenno, to repair, to rebuild, and to return the Soldier to it's rightful place in the battles of this new age.

Passive: Increased block chance while shield or melee weapon is active.

Ability 1: Shield

  • Deploy the Soldier's shield. Increases defenses from all attacks from the front. Automatically switches to secondary or melee weapon while deployed. Drains energy while active. Any allied units standing within Xm behind the shield benefit from this as well. A percentage of the damage is absorbed into the shield; holding the button releases this damage in a shockwave that knocks enemies near the Soldier down/away.
  • Augment idea: Shield Charge: Activating the shockwave charges the Soldier forwards, dealing increased damage to those directly in front of them.
  • Inspired by: Isolator Bursa

Ability 2: Barricade

  • Deploys a temporary barrier in front of the Soldier. Hold button to throw barrier, allowing the Soldier to give an endangered ally over. This barrier acts like solid ground/cover, blocking all attacks that hit it. Enemies are unable to move through the barrier. Up to X barriers may be deployed at the same time.
  • Augment idea: Reflects enemy attacks that strikes the barrier.
  • Inspired by: Denial Bursa

Ability 3: Artillery Strike

  • Activates the Cannon-Lance in Artillery Mode. The Soldier locks down and charges a barrage of shells, granting a targeting ring that grows until full; releasing the button early fires fewer shells into a smaller area. Shells land randomly through the targeted area; dealing full damage to those hit directly with reduced damage the further away the target is from the point of impact. The Soldier takes reduced damage while charging the strike.
  • Augment idea: Shells are replaced with deployable mines
  • Augment idea: The Soldier charges a single supercharged shell, dealing full damage to all within the reduced targeting area before blowing them away from the location.
  • Inspired by: Drover Bursa

Ability 4: Exalted Weapon - Cannon-Lance

  • Arms the Cannon-Lance for combat. Deploying this Exalted weapon grants a combination of both gunblade and spear/polearm styles of attack moves and allows use of "Shield" for free while active.

A Grineer themed Warframe! picture it that the queens captured and tried to build a prototype Lich by using kuva and Warframe parts. Much like Alad V's experiments except the will of the Tenno is not easily broken and the experiment turned on its creators. If there was a quest it could involve steel meridian or the famed favorite Clem.

Backstory: When it comes to the dark children are often scared of it, but you were different. You loved the dark, you thrived in it. You were often told that the light would always vanquish the darkness, and yet you ignored what they told you for you know something they didn't. Without light there can't be darkness, even in the darkest of nights a small light can still bring hope.

You used the natural fear of the dark to your advantage when the Grineer attacked the ship you called home. Using torn cloth to mask your skin and utilizing broken pieces of metal as daggers. You struck from the shadows with a deathly chill as you took your time picking them off. 

Some said you were a spirit of Hell, a ghost that protects those who are in the light while others simply called you a monster. But there were some that found hope with you as you saved them with a crimson red glow in your eyes, and they simply called you, Wraith.

Appearance- A knight armor with a hood attached to the helmet. The eyes glowing red with a demonic look to the armor.

Color- Dark grey with a mix of red and navy blue

Signature weapons:

Kunai- a set of throwing knives that look like they have been made out of the horns of a demon. Dealing mainly slash damage and a higher critical chance in Wraith's hands

Two handed battle axe- a single bladed war axe that requires two hands to wield it properly. Glowing with red runes on the face of the axe and boasting a demonic look. In Wraith's hands he can swing it faster.

Passive- upon entering missions with artificial light, he will disable all forms of light. Making it harder to be detected as enemies are restricted to flashlights.

Abilities:

Consume- Throws out a grapple hook the pulls in an enemy, killing the enemy and providing one of three buffs. The first being a small buff to damge, the second being a radial heal and lastly an armor buff.

Vanish- Warping the light around him to disappear without a trace. Can also be casted on allies.

Hell's whisper- similar to Valkyr's warcry but only buffs attack speed and combined with his four will launch him further with slide attacks.

Hell's Fury- conjures a dagger from the darkness, lunging from target to target. Dealing quick burst damage with a decently high crit chance.

S O N O S - Sentient War Potential

By combining Tenno technology along with the body of a Corpus battlesuit that was found hidden deep within Uranus under the guise of Grineer soldiers turned slaves for profit, a Warframe that was seemingly sentient was created.

    When unleashed onto the battlefield Sonos is able to adjust his weapons to suit his situation, allowing maximum efficiency and instilling dread in his foes. By killing enemies Sonos increases or decreases stats of his weapons in order to do the most damage possible with the least amount of effort.

    Increasing the range, zoom and damage of beam weapons whilst reducing fire rate allows Sonos to save ammo while still dealing deathly blows to his enemies afar. When faced with hordes of enemies  and armed only with a sniper rifle Sonos intelligently increases punch through, fire rate and reload speed while decreasing damage and zoom.

    Sonos thrives in long battles allowing him to reach peak efficiency and casting away all negative effects utilizing his weapons to a catastrophic degree.

So I'm going with the sentient theme with summoner/time casting abilities. 

First ability would be something like an aoe charge, or whatever, where you'd pull a percentage of health from enemies to convert into energy

Second would be that you would return whatever projectile damage you take to the attacker by a percentage. Combined with 1 it will increase how much energy is returned to you. 

3 would allow you to slow enemies in an aoe, or maybe a frontal cone attack, while also decreasing their defenses as though they were aging.

4 would let you transform into a sentient yourself, playing off the first two abilities to keep up the sentient form longer. Maybe even be able to mod the sentient form differently like an exalted weapon.

Plus a unique sentient form would be awesome.

I was thinking something that "absorbs" the environment. Forests on Earth, water on Neptune, void in the Void, that kinda stuff.

Have a different effect on a corpus ship than on a grineer ship, or one taken over by infested.

I'm thinking like one of those decorator crabs, pick up pieces of the environment or enemy armor and graft them onto yourself.

the longer you spend on a level, the more you blend in, as you collect more material to decorate yourself.

 

Maybe an aquatic type infested takes over an empty frame?

I would really like to see a sort of succubus warframe that can make her enemies fight their allies and offer their vitality for her affection.

The souls of those who had died by her influence would still try to get her affection by empowering her or give her gifts. She would effectively absorb their souls for her and her allies benefit.

I've always wanted a Warframe based around explosions and the (old) Blast proc. Massive explosions, cluster bombs, impact craters, knocking down enemies and perhaps an exalted explosive flail of some sort. We have Warframes for all the other elemental types, so why not Blast?

This is not so creative, but what about smoke-based frame? It could be medium-armored character who has high damage and mana, but low speed. Passive ability should be the main one and consist in releasing clouds of smoke around and behind the character, which expand when the character stands and gradually disappear. This smoke hides the character and impairs visibility to everyone except him - both opponents and allies. Also, using the first ability, it would be possible to change its color, giving it additional damage and effects (I would prefer a small damage buff to allies and frequent, but weak ticks on enemies with a great chance of status). Also for this ability, you can release mods for all types of damage in the game. The second ability should be designed for fast movement and unexpected attacks - I think a good option would be the opportunity to infiltrate an enemy or an object of the environment and sit there for some time, emitting smoke and trying not to give out its presence. Neither abilities nor attacks are allowed - otherwise you will be noticed and quickly smoked out, first of all the goal itself, if it is an enemy. The next skill on the list is the ability to distract and weaken the enemy. I think this solution is ideal in this situation: you create a smoky clone that quickly runs away from you in the chosen direction, starting to attract enemies at a small distance. Behind the clone is also a smoky trail that can be painted. And the last - a skill that is perfect for such a character: the creation of a stationary censer that produces smoke. Unlike the rest of the smoke, which will exist in the form in which the character or ability created it, when applying the first ability, the censer will immediately change the color of the vapor produced. Also, you can move into it and use abilities without risking being noticed (attacks, of course, are also forbidden). And finally, when you exit this censer after moving in or jumping on it from above, it will throw you up in a cloud of smoke. In the end, a little about the name and style: the name should have something related to smoke, smog or fumes, and in style it would be nice to notice a pipe in the character's mouth and, probably, a bowler hat.
