You don't really need Nova when you have either a Loki irritating disarm or Mirage blind for slowing. Plus, Nova's damage falls off quickly late game. I mean, sure, 2 years is quite a long time, but when I think "ages ago", I think back to when Grineer were English, Corpus were robot cows, and Infested were just Runners and Chargers in different colours.
