  1. it should come before 29th IIRC, we're only 7 days into march, give it another week at least.
  2. humans, learn from the past? good one! it also doesn't help matters that one of the devs confessed to trolling as well.. it's a real dumpsterfire there right now.
  3. yep, pretty much. it's important to know that the vast majority of people into HD2 are people who never played HD1 (or even heard of it), and may not even play online co-op games in general: they might come straight from the likes of CoD/Fortnite, and nerfs don't exactly go down well in those circles either.. ultimately as time goes on, the true fans of HD2 will filter out from the rest as they leave, just as it has been with Warframe. there are also valid concerns about the fact that higher difficulty in HD2 right now = dealing with an innumerable amount of the heaviest enemies, when many the tools designed to kill those enemies have enormous restrictions (limited uses, cooldowns etc.). there some genuinely broken enemies right now (bile spewers), but hopefully these will get looked at in time. Arrowhead still have a lot of work ahead of them. personally I never wanted to rely on a meta anyway and I'm having too much fun with the now functional heavy armor and the buffed weapons, especially the flamethrower. more than anything though, I'm waiting on the mechs to drop: those will be fun, and potentially make Hard missions a lot easier, but the devs will inevitably counter them (flying enemies I reckon.. ugh.)
  4. this reminds one of a particular user on here who HATES revenant, and will absolutely die on the hill of "he's a trash frame and he's not a vampire". those of you who've been around on these forums a while might know who I'm talking about, I haven't seen him in probably over a year or so.. guess he moved on. vampires with hypnotism/seduction, typically really old depictions of vampires, are kinda silly, but Vampires as in blood-drinking murderous beasts is at least somewhat plausible, and can be explained away in the form of a mutation, infection, or some other biological phenomenon. either way, glad you like him: personally I also like revenant, he has some of the better fashion loadouts in the game and can be viable outside of the typical "press 2 to not die". there's nothing wrong with using Mesmer Skin only, but I definitely find it's more fun to explore various builds and possibilities with a frame, rather than just use them for one specific purpose.
  5. For my brothers For democracy FOR SUPER EARTH!
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an Excalibur/Arthur set, given that Warframe 1999 will be out long before Soulframe gets its official release. Probably a Skana as a sword or Sword skin as well, but i think that'll be it as far as collabs go, because DE want Soulframe to be its own thing and have its own identity, separate from Warframe.
  7. well, while it's plausible that Anti-Void could be anything, i think there's an alternate explanation: that Anti-Void is in fact an actual thing, and not only that, but we've actually SEEN it before: yep, i'm talking about everyone's least favourite Corpus enemy, the Nullfier. We know they were added for mechanical reasons, with no in-universe explanation for how they worked. What if nully bubbles are just force fields that contain high enough quantities of Anti-Void to cancel out our powers? When the bubble is popped the Anti-Void seeps harmlessly into the atmosphere and of course, it's not visible to the naked eye, because its a colorless vapor. Much of the Corpus' tech is just reverse engineered orokin stuff anyway, so it's plausible they would find the recipe for it and not only gain a tool for use against the Tenno, but also something they can sell for profit. This also begs the question, "why don't our enemies give EVERYONE Anti-Void and become Tenno-proof?" well the most likely answer is that it's simply too hard and or expensive to produce in sufficient quantities, so it has to be used carefully. While nullifiers are still expendable troops, They are more limited in number, and possibly a higher rank than other Corpus mobs. Essentially you have to be rich or have a lot of sway to get Anti-Void in any sort of amount, but naturally there's some lying around Albrecht's labs, for use in his experiments. TL:DR: Nullifiers proved Anti-Void existed long ago, we just didnt have the name for it until now.
  8. a squad of 4 Stayanaxes with augments all throwing at one enemy: it sounds pretty decent honestly. plus it'll scale now as well. sadly this'll be as close as we'll ever get to an actual Loki rework, but hey, at least his 3 remains an easy subsume slot. the edgy looking Nezha with the augment: Baruuk with Augment after dodging 5 heavy gunners magdumping their Gorgons at once: Chroma might be more requested by people running squish frames (if they can't find a revenant with the augment). me to Merulina ( I hate K-drives): Nidus users with Augment wants to link up with you! (your consent is optional) this will be a must have for Citrine I reckon, since her 4 does so much: CC, extra damage and crit and an easier time with her 1 as well. "Lavos, what elements does your gun have on?" "yes". despite Kullervo being one of my favourites, I don't think I'll bother with this too much, since his 4 is only useful in defensive situations and you don't really need to move it around. probably just gonna stick with my current build, but I do appreciate the effort of tying 2 powers together in one augment, I feel like they should try this more often, because it makes augments feel more unique. overall I think most if not all might have some meme potential, it's more a question of how to build and/or what to subsume with these augments to make some crazy results happen. I have complete faith we'll find a way though; we always do!
  9. TBH if it weren't for the forma, i don't even think people will care about Plague Star, I kinda lost interest in it too. I'd rather DE work on a new, more interesting event.
  10. Then people will want ALL archguns to be classed as primary/secondary weapons. Ultimately there's no way to know what items will get "Dex'd" until close to the anniversary.
  11. we all want batch crafting, but it's not gonna happen because the foundry is monetized and people wouldn't spend plat to rush things so they can build another, like we have to now. would it be nice? yes, absolutely. are we ever getting it? nope.
  12. just because a game is successful and beloved doesn't mean it'll make a good movie. anyone who has seen any movie based on a videogame in the last 10 years will tell you that. go back 20 years and it's even worse, then you're in Mortal Kombat territory.. if you want a more current example, Borderlands is getting a movie. I love Borderlands, I've sunk thousands upon thousands of hours across the franchise over the years and I can tell you just about anything you want to know about it... but the movie looks like it's gonna be absolute garbage. it's not out yet, but even the casting decisions seem incredibly off: Kevin Hart as Roland? Jack Black as Claptrap? (he sounds nothing like either of the voice actors for Claptrap), are you mucking kidding me? Warframe: the movie would be yet another weird sci-fi in a market already saturated with them, which also makes it harder to stand out, and considering how the actual game's lore itself is written, I definitely wouldn't trust an outside producer, who has likely never played the game, to come up with a faithful, well written and engaging recreation of Warframe's universe on the big screen. maybe I'm becoming a cantankerous old fart before my time, but I think IPs should just stay in their lane, because it's a major gamble to go from game to movie, and 9 times out of 10, it just doesn't work, or worse, it flops, which not only annoys the fans of the game, but also tanks any interest from outside parties who were looking to get into the game, because now it's associated with a trash movie. it's a lot of work and a LOT of money for a very, very slim chance of a payoff.
  13. golden maws, I suppose we could get them as companions, as long as they can bring something unique to the table, though i'm not sure what that would be. Orowyrms outside of Duviri, I doubt will happen, but it would be cool. for snake/reptile frames, we already have Lavos and technically also Chroma. I wouldn't say no to a poison based, melee-centric frame though. one that delivers an attack that deals constant toxin DoT all the time. Saryn can sort of do this already as well though.
  14. thankfully not. I'd never leave the orbiter without my Ignis Wraith if we had a version of Clickers added.. hate those things. The Technocyte is it's own thing really, but I suppose it was designed to combine the best traits of animal, plant-based life and Fungi, to ensure it would always spread and reproduce, and also assimilate it's targets. it can evolve into new and different forms based on what it needs, and seemingly quite rapidly as well. unfortunately it did the opposite; intended for use against Sentients, it ended up assimilating everything else instead, but we know it can be controlled or rendered inert with the right chemicals and/or processes, and that's how Helminth and Grey Strain technocyte was made.
  15. Yes please, Karyst Prime is the ugliest blade ever forged, the regular version looks way better. Pangolin prime is also fugly but base Pangolin Sword is one of the nicest in game IMO. Would love to combine prime stats with the base look. Unfortunately there are a LOT of weapons with prime versions to go through, so unless there's a quick way to do this, which i doubt there is, it might seem like too much work and not enough benefit for DE.
  16. Another stance For them would be nice, Vulpine Mask works well enough IMO but variety is always nice to have. I like the new skin though, major "what if the Corpus saw a Cup-Hilt Rapier?" vibe, though functionally it's more like a cattle prod lol.
  17. a LOT of revenants got folded by the 60 eye boss, before it became public knowledge that it cancles abilities. even I was thinking "can just use Revenant if I wanted to", but then I heard the news and my eyebrows raised "really? huh. that's pretty neat." Revenant absolutely can contributeto a game; Enthralling causes enough agro diversions to keep defense objectives alive and while not his bets ability, his 4 can still kill stuff on normal (granted, it falls of on SP like everything else, but your gripe was specifically about Revenant being used by NEW players, so that rules SP out). he isn't the best pick for every mode, but than no frames really are: some can be a decent jack of all trades thoguh, and for the most part, you really can just put his 2 on and be absolutely fine. people have always played frames with durability powers this way; Rhino is usually first, then it was Inaros, then it was Wukong and now it's Revenant. eventually another frame will come along that can also be practically invincible, and people will gravitate to them too: life goes on. personally I think people should at least try to make the effort to use all of a frames kit, to see what works and what doesn't, because there's a good chance they might find something fun about them, or discover a playstyle they never even thought of, but at the end of the day I also accept that people should be able to play how they want to, and if all they want to do is put on Mesmer Skin, and shoot stuff, that's fun enough for them, then sure, whatever floats their boat. it's not my way, but it's not a wrong way either. try to respect other people's ways of playing, otherwise you're gonna rub people the wrong way.
  18. Duplex Bond is actually pretty good, but even if it was trash, i'd still use it just to see my Carrier Prime choose violence. I'll never forget when i first saw it: Me: "wait, carrier actually cloned? Omg where.. Wheres he going?" My Carrier, chasing some poor Crewman: "I KNOW you're carrying ammo and loot, drop it now! STOP RESISTING!!"
  19. Honestly, OP made good points but I think it's too late for archwing now. Unless DE themselves talk about it on a devstream, everything else is wishful thinking, nothing more. Imagine if Doom Guy didnt run everywhere. It'd suck right? DOOM and Warframe are different games but both of them focus on the principle of being extremely fast-paced and relentless in the pressure to keep the player moving. If you slow down, you die. If you stop, you die. You HAVE to keep moving, no matter what. In warframe you CAN stop, especially if your frame happens to be tanky, but many players don't want to and the game is at its best when you take advantage of the high speeds you can reach. There is NO place, outside of hubs and relays, where a warframe is inclined to move at a slower pace, 99% of our time is spent in the midst of combat, where slowing down is hazardous to your health. If there were alternatives like actual stealth mechanics or a cover system, then maybe sprinting everywhere wouldn't be so important; but we don't have those, nor do I think we need them, as long as we have our agility, and that could be made better by having a toggle for sprinting. I suppose ultimately, both systems have their pros and cons, and you may be used to different things, but personally i feel getting knocked out of sprint harms the fluidity of the gameplay pacing and it'd be easier to parkour with one speed setting as well.
  20. There might be more in the run-up to TennoCon, if not sooner. I'm surprised how much we're gettin for St. Patrick's Day, besides the usual colour palette returning.
  21. nah, even if it wasn't rigged (it most likley is), there's always enough active newbies fighting their first razorback to fill the bar up. nothing to worry about. good news for most people, but I've always been curious what the relay would look like if the Corpus took it: would they tax us in credits to enter it? would it be renovated to look all Corpus-y? sadly, we'll never know.
  22. I always liked the idea of beign able to run both powers (day and night) simultaneously, but the power for the form she's NOT using at the time would be a little weaker, so it enocurages players to still switch form based on what powers they need at that moment, while also allowing players to make full use of equinox's kit, and those who can muster the effort -and energy- to manage several draining powers at once would benefit greatly. I also wouldn't mind her "neutral" form being usable, where her powers are weaker but if you die, you just split into day/night form and the other form fights alongside you (Duality augment made base ability). Equinox is unfortunately in that awkward spot of being too effective and popular to warrant a rework, but still not quite effective enough to be considered "perfect".
  23. I'm sure it'll be fine, and I'm also sure people wanted Eclipse to be consistent more for the outgoing damage boost than the incoming damage reduction: everybody wants to be the DPS, even if it means being a glass cannon. I'm not even a huge fan of Mirage but I definitely like the changes they are making to her. I might finally be able to replace Quick Thinking with something else and not feel vulnerable to a light breeze.
  24. amazes me that some people are still trying to get "smell-O-vision" to be a thing: the easiest way to overload someone's senses, or make them leave, is through bad smells; nobody wants to be in a room where someone's farted, right? I get the idea with the "gunfire" being more immersive for playing shooters etc, but I can smell real gunpowder anytime lol, why drink off-brand Soda when you can have Coke?
  25. primaries: Tigris Prime, Sybaris Prime, Dex Sybaris, Prisma Grinlok, and all the true LMGs (Soma Prime, Quellor, Supra Vandal and Trumna). I like my overwhelming firepower but Tigris and lever-action rifles tickle my pickle in the best way. secondaries: Magnus Prime, AkLex Prime, AkVasto prime, , but also a few auto pistols like Kuva Twin Stubbas, Aksomati Prime and Quatz. melees: I'll run anything tbh, but heavy blades, nikanas, TH Nikanas and polearms are probably my favourites.
