  1. So far I hear or seen rewind interruption if you are interrupted via some new obstacle (e.g. door closed, someone put frost bubble etc). I'm not sure if you get or not energy refund in that case. That might be 2 bugs. One you mentioned with first 2 videos. The other one "die > rewind > get knockdown without shield gate with small hp" that may result in death if enemies are around (and they start attacking). Before shield change (current shield = % of shieldgate, more or less; before: partial shield = minimal shield gate) it was much easier to get this bug, imho. Still, some stronger content like Archimedea may be little harder. ps. that's why I said that she should have knockdown or something after rewind. That's just not normal death but loooong.
  2. Orb is joke, so I won't comment on that Jahu... I would buff it into 10-15%. 20 enemies to fully armor strip is too much. 10 (10% strip per kill) would be fine. Eximus in general are pain for some ability or effect. Using fire rate, corrosive + shards is good enough combo. But it can generate energy. Sadly, yes, 1st is almost only choice. Changing 2nd, 3rd or 4th removes 3 abilities Removing 4th gives you "okeish" 3rd and HORRIBLE 2nd. So except 1st, I would change 2nd... in ver rare cases. To be honest I don't think it's so much "loss of opportunity" stuff. Look at this other way around: - You have grimoire-type weapon so you can use other secondaries. - It can generate energy - so you may equip other arcane or mod. - It can armor strip - while not perfect it still increase DPS of your team. And more death = more energy - You can increase your stats (duration, strength, efficiency) so you can remove some mods from your Dante. It's not that Roar or something is much better than Noctua. It's just, like I've said above, changing anything else makes Dante "ill" (ba dum tss). That's why I've posted about putting augments so you don't have to use 2/3 to cast 4th: While not the best you can put armor strip mod (+energy tome). It fits okeish.
  3. It's both. Warframe is a free-to-play game because you can acquire everything except for cosmetics by simply playing the game. Warframe is a pay-to-win game where you can give the developers money to obtain power now instead of having to earn it in the game. These terms are not mutually exclusive. While pay-to-win is generally a (justifiably) maligned term, I don't think it's innately bad, especially not in a free-to-play game. There are better and worse ways to monetize power, and in my opinion Warframe overall does it fairly well. I think usage of Pay to win with non competitive game like Warframe is not good. Even in player-vs-enviroment games it's still not great. Pay to win is when you are buying power much faster than other player can earn (in game). The key aspect is speed. You are getting so big advantage over non-paying player that you are "winning". Non-paying player cannot or it's VERY hard to rise to paying-player "strength". So taking aside that warframe's power level is more nuanced (e.g. old frame can beat newer frame), there is no "winning" if you are "just faster". Why not just use "micro transaction" or "pay to SKIP"? As many said, game is grind (aka GrindFrame). You grind for endo, you grind for Frame/weapon X, You grind for cats. So on and so forth. If you don't like that aspect then it's not game for you. If you are ok with grind, grind still can be bad sometimes. Sometiems grind is just long. Sometimes randomness makes certain items to not drop. Sometimes you have time gate (e.g. Wait X weeks to get item Y). In general it's from almost free (aka no grind needed), through some grind, ending at "I will just buy it" horrible grind. As for game itself, it expanded A LOT. You have 50+ frames, hundreds if not thousand of weapons, many companions (but I just use 1, lol), Necramech, railjack, Duviri, melee slams (some recent update make your slam damage big), game modes, ways to play so on and so forth. Now new players (or old too) can start with Duviri. It's more melee focused so it may be more fun for some time. You can go back to "normal gameplay" somehow (I don't remember details). And you can earn frames, augments and some other stuff. It's good if e.g. boss don't give you all frame's parts. It's however timegated (1 frame per week, 3 frames to pick from per week, changes after each week, only part of all frames).
  4. I've been playing Dante without VERY powerful build. It's something like: Precision intensify - 90% strength for 4th, some energy & normal stuff, corrosive shards, 50 cast speed. Sometimes I'm healer/reviver so I don't do a lot of damage (20ish) and sometimes I do ~50%. In probably all mission that I've used Dante I see him as "good enough". Sometimes Mesa come around, sometimes I get better. You know the drill. It's not perfect but "good enough". I don't expect nuking through walls - so that's my standards. So what maps are good? - Empty maps like this week Assassination Archon with Nira (huge place without any obstacle) - Archon hunt defense - I've done some parkour but it was good enough - Circuit (SP) - Void (long corridors are nice) What maps are horrible? - I guess infested corpus ships (Eris afair) with small corridors would be problematic
  5. The problem is that we were already at near perfect and went backwards. Handwaving it as “that’s just how games are” ignores that we already were there, and are now not. If Dante was released with LoS and people were fine with it, then it probably would have never been an issue because we would have never known. But we do know, because it was a thing, and now it’s not. Yeah, this is major issue like Styanax nerfs. Don't give playes features and take it back in week or something. That's just "mean". At least put some info "hey, we are not sure about this ability, it will be probably nerfed a lot so...". Solution would be quick & easy but would it be good? Short term reward would be good. Dante would hit more reliably. On other hand long term reward may not be good. Dante were frame, maybe not first, but frame that nukes a lot of stuffs in big enough range. More and more frames would have to do this. There would be other solution to nerf it. Damage is double edge sword. If you put it too big it makes game boring. Too low - it's useless. I don't think nerfing damage would be good, imho. But that's at least little subjective. I wonder how much range would reduced. In vacuum (empty place, Tragedy hits all enemies etc) with 45 m (Strength, I let this mod sit here since unlocking Dante but I may remove it)) is good. If I had to use range "just" to use it then honestly I wouldn't like that change. Now you have to go into more rooms, so that's probably more skills? Yeah, I've not done multi room nukes with Dante. So I cannot fully relate. And "room size" would be important as well. Still some "marking" system would be fine for Tragedy. I and some other user posted about it (they have used Dark werse as marker, afair). Game still have good and bad stuff. It still entertain me, at least in some ways. If it's not for you then, yeah, time to move on. Good luck to you too.
  6. So, you've played him in some of the most expansive maps and claim to not have issues. Lol. Maybe duviri or Nira assassination is "expansive" Netracells, Nira defense aren't. I may be wrong but on release that map had so many routes that I had to go to each enemy to slap them. Honestly, don't get me wrong, he's fun to play for me. And I get the idea of wanting to balance his massive range with positioning. The issue I have with using Tragedy (I cast it far, FAR less than I used to) is because as opposed to everything else he does, I need to reduce my playstyle to use it optimally (The main appeal of this game for me is the use of the movement system). Most of the time when I don't do that, even if its just aim gliding, I sometimes see enemies that I don't hit with the ability, and it frankly feels bad, especially since I tuned my build for lower efficiency in exchange for greater damage. Tragedy feels like an unsolved calculation puzzle in my head for which the only optimal response is either to forgo it (what I tend to do), or pull the trigger and hope for the best, because it feels unreliab To be honest LoS check makes me do parkour even more. Before LoS check I could just point at general direction and everything dies (if not, just repeat). Now I need to go to some location, hence more parkour. LoS messing it to the point of unreliability is not my experience. I don't deny your experience. I just cannot fully relate to it. Sure, if it's in any map that mess you then I would agree with you. I don’t understand why we would settle for mediocrity when the initial release was near perfect. Yea he’s okay, but why are we okay with that? It wasn't and isn't (near) perfect. It's just, as for Tragedy, it was relaying less on skill. So it "just worked". If you like to just watch enemies dies (or don't, because some weren't visible) then it was "near perfect". If you care more about "skill" then it wasn't "near perfect". Why we settle for mediocrity? Why "we are okay with that"? Some of us aren't. It's just how this game rolls. We make suggestion or post issues/bugs. Some bugs/issues are fixed. Some are not. Some suggestion are implemented and some aren't. Sometimes frame goes into "great mode". Sometimes you can have part of functionality(ies) removed or so much reduced that it's not worth using. So why we are ok with Current Dante? It's "good enough" for some of us. We know that we won't have 'near perfection'.
  7. It's a touch deeper than that with snipers, as Curse propagates not just melee combo but also sniper combo. I wouldn't know whether to call it "very unique" or not. It's more work than melee, so probably not popular. So, "on headshot" mode. Yeah, I guess it's more 'unique' than just 'strong weapon'. I wonder how Zymos would work (on headshots it spread some stuffs nearby).
  8. No, I like 4th to do something more. Shadow blocks LoS check? That's interesting. I've been playing it for some time. I've not seen major issues with him yet. I've been playing it in Duviri, Netracells and todays Archon hunt. It may be not perfect but big part of what I see is at least damaged. I still have to play him where he is (near) worthless. I know it's hard to believe that people have different opinions about him. I'm not on full defend mode about his 4th: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1392931-increasing-base-5-m-non-los-check-for-dante-via-certain-actions-stats-of-4thtragedy/ however content I've been playing so far, Dante is 'ok'. I've been even into ~50% damage in group. It can fall into obscurity but other reason, at least for me, would play big role as well: - https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1394106-light-verse-very-small-usage-changesbuffs/ - https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1386385-dante-cast-4th-with-empty-pages-tabula-rasa-augments-devstream-177-commentary/ - https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1392300-dante-4thtrumph-hold-to-cast-at-max-overguard/ .. well, offtopic a little
  9. That's.......literally exactly what it means. Triumph cannot exist without 2x Lightverse, Wordwarden cannot exist without 1x Light Verse, Pageflight cannot exist without 1x Light Verse. It's a key component of all 3 as well as having its own function as a power. So you agree or not, I'm confused. No. I don't want to change "page system" or how Dante works. I just want to add 1-2 things: - Reason to cast Light verse without casting Triumph. In my gameplay, if I have enough energy, I haven't casted 2. I cast Triumph. - Synergy (?) between Light verse and Triumph (in the last suggestion). So you can still do things like 334, 333334, 224. However you would have more reasons to cast 2 alone (without casting 4th).
  10. They would probably mutate their strand... or whatever it's called. Like with our Helminth.
  11. That's just goes down to "use strong enough weapon with Curse". It's not very unique.
  12. Ignorance is not going to help you or your point. Your point was supposed to be that Light Verse doesn't do enough to warrant it being a power on its own, immediately the point was invalidated as you were advised on how 3 other powers that the Warframe possesses literally cannot exist without it. There's not really much I can do to help you with the fact that you forgot the power extends beyond itself and is a key element to using some of Dantes strongest powers. Just because you have to press 22 (2x Light verse) to cast Triumph (4) doesn't mean that Light verse nor Triumph cannot exist on their own. It's just for some reasons they made it for us to do certain key combinations (or button for consoles, or whatever you are using). I can literally cast Triumph without Overguard, without casting Light verse etc. I just need to press "2" twice to cast Triumph. On other hand 3rd (doing slash) helps 4th (TRagedy). However it's still can exist without it. I can proc Slash, toxic and other one WITHOUT 3rd. Yes, but abilities, or mechanics should be useful or at least do something unique. If abilities are not great (Light verse), or you ban certain interactions (e.g. STyanax cannot cast abilities during 4th) then what you are ending is "reskins of the same things" as you mentioned.
  13. They were advocating for Callibans abilities to give overguard, that is what I was talking about. Doing so would remove the synergy he has with Brief Respite/augur mod set bonus to constantly recharge shields, which resets his shield gate at any time. "Synergy with Brief respite" - you would still be able to use shield gate. It lasts only for 15 seconds. In the time you mark zones in some maps, you can do it much faster with e.g. Styanax'. It's not the best it's just work for certain mission types. The more dynamic mission is, the less it is useful. Technically you have walls between and "teleportation zones". What is it with Caliban players wanting to AFK their way through the game? I swear, every "Caliban rework" thread seems to have so much focus on the wanting him to be a pet frame that it's like they're old Wuklone mains trying to cling to some last shred of hope for that lazy gameplay. What's wrong with wanting to have pets? It's not that they would make it AFK. And you know that even if you disregard hat "damage aspect" he is still weak. 1st getting 4 hp/s per enemy. Your movements are banned, you cannot use weapons, roll etc. 2nd spreads enemies instead of pulling them together. Defense reduction is SMALL. 3rd May not give shield at all or just "1 shield" kind of thing. I've played this ability and I rarely get any shield. And base 0.33 shield gate is not great.
  14. I found few unique ways of playing him (maybe some are similar). You can get combo via casting 2 or 4. So I use it a lot. With new augment I can cast 4th then teleport it with 1st. Combo mods affect combo gain. When I cast Collective curse, damaging enemies makes more damage to other enemies around. I use heavy attack more often (especially with first). You can even heavy attack in air! I've found that 2nd give you overguard. Now, let's make it more serious. All above is big joke because OP is just playing Kullervo as intended, more or less. Maybe not VERY unique but I've find sliding heavies pretty fun. You need long wind up speed melee. You tap 1st (change tap/hold if necessary) and start sliding. You are the Drifter. (*ba dum tss*). You can do it in the air.
  15. Yes, you can use efficiency, add Energy Nexus and other form and you are gaining more than you are spending. However base cost is 25 energy. It's still 1.5 second. When I play the game I wish to do something more than "just survive". Sure, in games where survival is main aspect and you use different mechanics to survive, it's good. However pressing 1 same button, without thinking is not fun for me. In games like Warframe it's not powerful. Maybe Duviri plays that short immortality well, but that's not exactly warframe. Sure, it's not meaningless but I mean they could use more help for the "job" they are doing. I've played with guys in e.g. Netracells where their pets dies frequently. You are forgetting that Health are affected via armor, Rolling guard, Adaptation etc. So for example 3x Umbra And adaptation makes 6,2k HP into 200k EHP. And that's probably not even close what "causual" Inaros can give you. On other hand 10k Overguard is just 10k EHP. Minus status. Sure, something like, I don't know, 50k might be a lot. However 10k is not. And as I said, start slow (e.g. 500 overguard) then raise it AND raise enemy "danger level" (speed, damage or stuff). So if you are not careful, you can get killed because you don't have enough energy.
  16. What synergy? No Call's abilities give you Overguard. No Call's abilities give you shield. Meanwhile I with Styanax' moves into few different places, armor/shield stripping.
  17. The problem only lies in the fact Triumph is vastly overpowered, Light verse is normal-powered. Triumph isn't overpowered, at least for 'higher' content. And light verse is just not "normal powered". Yeah, 400% strength Dante. Possible but still very mod-tied into simplicity. Lots of things can be made overpowered. Let's talk about something normal. 200k strength. That's 30k Overguard. That's not too much if you play high content. For example SP Jackal removes it in 1 or few lasers 'passes'. You know what Light verse gives you? 700 overguard. That's nothing (in high content). Sure, it's ~2 seconds of immortality but some of that time you take on casting it. With 50% cast speed I can cast it fast enough but I don't consider spamming 1 key to be "normal powered". Yeah, it heals... but when have you healed yourself? You get chunk of Overguard instead that you are supposed to regenerate. Healing is just "something" at this point. The ability literally makes you immortal for one second on cast, plus minimum 0.33 seconds shield gate, plus 0.5 seconds overguard gate, that's 1.83 seconds of invincibility Ok, I've read wiki and retested it in Simulacrum. Maybe 50% cast speed of Shards make that much difference so I can cast it faster than it depletes. Still, thanks for correction about that 1 second immortality. You meant 25. Still, whatever is the case it's still not very useful. Like you get immortality for that ~2 second but you need to finish cast for, I don't know, 0.5 second. In that 1.5 second you can kill some baddies but that's it. If more comes you still need slap that Light verse. That's honestly not very powerful. And I was user of Xaku/2 disarmer frequently. I can have 20+ Overguard (30k max) while my companion (Carrier prime) have none. Giving it few hundred of Overguard is meaningless. And with self revive & vacum it's not that important. The thing is 4th affect group as well. Sure it heals 20% at base but enemies can take much more. So giving teammate e.g. 10k OG seems more reasonable.
  18. So, to rephrase "ability is useless - it's ok". Thanks for feedback. Yeah, I was thinking about Speed nova when writing this topic. Still, risk-reward would be interesting. I felt that damage wouldn't be enough. It only makes you invincible for 1 second, gives you complete status immunity, and an extra 0.5 seconds shield gate on top of your regular one, at 25 energy. What a trash ability, if it was subsumable I'd only put in on 50% of my Warframes. Not exactly. Overguard from Light verse is small in in higher content that it disappear instantly. Even shield gate and overguard gate combined that could give you 1 second immortality is not enough. Enemies starts damaging you when you still cannot do lot of things because ability hasn't finished casting. So in reality you have much less "usable" immortality. You know what makes you immortal longer at that level? Operator. You can stay there for long time, even healing your frame/teammates. What's so perfect spamming 1 ability ad infinitum? It's especially not useful when you can get much more from 4th. When you have very similar abilities then 1 would be bad. Think about it that way. Why would you use Light verse more? The problem is I don't see using it more than simple key combination, not for its effects. Woodwarden & Pageflight is used once a minute? It's so you rarely "heal/og" anything doing this. And Og is small that it disappear instantly in higher content.
  19. First, it's in Discusion board not Feedback Secondly, it's... 'fine'. You get Some crit (afair) buff of 3rd. However her whole kit is redundant & repetitive. Cast 1+2 then 4th. 2 is like 4 - do damage. To do armor stripping you need 2(potentially 1 as well) and 4th. At this point (1)2+4 combo is just "bigger damage".
  20. To be honest it can be 'salvaged' but they need to make it fair for both sides. I've been thinking about limbo rework. I've some thought but I still have some missing part, so bear with me. No enemies can enter Catasis. Instead of they reduce (or make it faster) limbo's timers. So if your Catasis is at 15 second left, enemy can make it 2x faster (so 7.5 second). Add max drain (e.g. like Gloom, based on enemy count). I would say that that Limbo can damage enemies outside Rift but with small value (e.g. 0.5x damage).
  21. I wonder if it's similar bug to getting stuck in underwater (Uranus) - you cannot move or attack.
  22. Light verse (2) gives you/teammates: - 350 overguard - 20% heal There is hardly any point of using Light verse because with Trump (224): - it gives you 3000 overguard - 8.5x more than Light verse - it regenerates 100 per kill In gameplay I just use 224. I hardly remember when I've used 2 without casting Trumph (4). Usage of 2nd can be altered so it differs from 4th: 1) It can affect companions more than tenno. Companions are not so smart so they loose Overguard faster than tenno. 2) It can give Overguard to defense targets. Maybe some cooldown on such targets so you cannot abuse (spam 2nd and defense target is immortal). 3) The option I like the most is to give 2nd more risk than 4th. Every time you cast 2nd: =>>> enemies around you (no LoS check) get N faster and do M more damage =>>> you/alies get P more overguard Casting Trump (224) reset those values (or decrease it a lot?). N, M and P values have some cap. So for example: - 1st cast: 500 Overguard, 1,15x enemy speed, 1,2 more damage - 2nd cast: 1500 Overguard, 1,3x speed, 1,4 more damage - 3rd cast: 3000 Overguard, 1,6x speed, 1,8 more damage - 4th cast: 6000 Overguard, 2,2x speed, 2,6 more damage Damage only affects Dante himself. So you can still play it safe using 2 cast of Ligth verse to get decent Overguard + not huge enemy buff. Then you can finish it with Trump (4).
  23. 2 things: - Noctua is "better" (slash damage) - it's only 2 energy per shot. With Xata you can regenerate from 20 to 200 energy in 20 second (1 to 10 energy per second). With that in mind it's not so bad. On load, you have full gauge, so you can get 20-200 energy, as above noted. Or give us exilus slot Because you are trying to solve problem that isn't there in first place. At least energy isn't big problem with dante. Like Grimoire, it's much harder to to make them good without firerate. The problem is that more fire rate = more energy. They may rebalance energy per shot & increase fire rate. If armor/shield strip were rised to 10-15% it would be great.
  24. The problem is loading when other players have already X/10 void tears. Why not just make it shared? Or at least "load and get X tears based on highest number acquired".
  25. It's like frames but worse. It doesn't count. Hmm... I wonder if we need it. Dashing is already fast. Maybe close combat would be better. But first they HAVE TO INTRODUCE PROPER ROLLS. ps. but you would need Helminth & gene masking kit: https://www.deviantart.com/marikbentusi/art/Warframe-Body-Surf-777959901
