  1. I'm not alchemist & such. I just see "gold color" and I want that name. :D
  2. The healing on Light Verse does set it apart somewhat from Triumph. Its biggest strength is to not only restore health, but give a protective layer over that health. So while it does share the OG with Triumph, it differs enough to make it worth casting by itself if you need to save someone (or yourself). Depends on level of content. I can finish casting it and have 0 overguard. Maybe it's great for other for that 0.5 more immortality time (so they start regenerating shield maybe). I don't cast Light verse. I just go straight to 224. You need to kil A LOT. You need to kill 120 enemies to reach 15k overguard (3k on triumph cast, 100 per kill, 15k cap). Regen is nice but big chunk on cast is important as well. There are ways to do it without introducing 2x more combos. For example with combos containing 3 verses (Light & Dark) they could do it like which verse has more cast, it will cast that version. Order doesn't matter. For example: - LLL, LLD > Lighter version - DDD, DDL > Darker version. Now you have only 2 more combos instead of 4. You can even do it with 4+ combos. There could be some difference: - same number of verses (e.g. DDLL or LLLDDD) would cast 'middle version' - more verse's casts would increase strength (e.g. LL 2x LLL 3x) With that you would get 3 more combo with "some" complexity. I think they can do 2-3 more effect. The thing, as you mentioned, how useful they would be.
  3. Neither does any actual Exalted. Why would pseudo-exalted have them? Ok, so why use (pseudo)Exalted? Baruk has ranged waves, Mesa auto-aim etc. However some are just normal melees. Shadow claws, Wukong staff and other are just like this. But it is not any other weapon. It is a second melee slot with innate 5% lifesteal (as you propose). That means you would need to balance the frames in question. It's nothing special. If you melee can do the same or even more do you even "need balance"? Seriously, this 5% life steal where I can get 20% heavies +11 on every status.
  4. "Valkyr is nimble, able to recover from knockdown 50% faster and is immune to Hard Landings, landing with no touchdown delay." From the wiki Great! So great that you mention it. But you know what? As I said twice already RHINO WILL HAVE EFFECT OF HARD LANDING BUT WITHOUT STUNS, SO IT WILL CREATE SHOCKWAVE BUT HE WOULDN'T BE STUNNED FOR SHORT TIME. IT'S NOT THE SAME AS V-KITTY.
  5. https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=warframe+augment+slot
  6. Like any any weapon. Some are modable but still lacks stuff. Like Noctua doesn't have exilus nor arcane.
  7. No. V-kitty recover 90% faster from any knockdowns. Rhino wouldn't just have "knockdown" from hard landing. He could still be knocked down other ways (minus overguard of course). And rhino would still get that knockdown effect on hardlanding.
  8. As tittle: make them abilities that affect special weapons. So let's say you have Valkyr. You equip melee into her Exalted slot. In mission, when you activate her 4th it will equip that melee. In addition it gives 5% life steal. That can be done with other pseudo/exalted: - Baruuk - adds ranged attacks - Khora/1 - synergy with her Strangle dome - Titania/Diwata - auto aiming while flying - Excal - like Baruuk but slashes and aerial combos - Wukong - range - Dante - can equip all tome mods - Mesa - auto aim Other would have something different but I don't know them very well. In general, all weapons would get "exalted treatment": - Melee would get 1.0 follow through - Ammo based on energy (shield in case of Hildryn) like Noctua.Every shot or N second(s) of firing take X energy. Weapons specific effects would be transfered into exalted version 1 to 1 unless exalted adds such functionality. For example Vitrica shoots projectiles on aerial atacks so it would be changed int Slashes of Excalibur. Pseudo exalted would use such system as well. That includes: Khora, Atlas, Gara, Ash (?), It can be farther expaned into exalted companions (Khora/Venari, Yareli/Merulina). Reasons? Any change to weapons would be automatically "deployed" into Exalted. So you can use e.g. arcanes (e.g. melee arcanes), exilus slots (e.g. Noctua) etc with your favorite weapons. ps. I may missed something so any post is welcome. EDIT 12.04.2024: I've forgotten to mention something. Your old exalted weapons would be converted to normal melees so you can equip them if you like current style.
  9. Baby shark, tu tu tu. I will excuse myself. That's why we need sliders for such things. Some one want have it big, some want small stuff. Sliders to the rescue!
  10. But his passive stack with that mod ;) I wonder if his passive would be better if he hasn't had stun after hard landing.
  11. As op said It's not about knowing "ins and outs". Bullet dance (not sure about other one) is just broken: - Backward combo moves you forward - forward stops your frame and slashes around - standing combo almost move forward (like move frame and it will be perfect moving combo!) - ground finishers shoot enemies into moon - not sure about their damage Maybe they don't need new stances but BD needs fixes. IMHO gunblades needs few stances based on styles: - gun style: mostly shoots, only slide, slams and maybe aerial would be swings (maybe slams could be shooting at enemies and slamming, something like Ghoulsaw but in the air) - slash/melee style: mostly wings, heavy would be shoots - mixed styles: like OP's suggestion, maybe other stance with other way around (normal attack - shoots, block combo - swings). Quoting Nora, not sure if exact quote: We can already press a button to melt enemies. Those things makes it more interesting.
  12. *Meanwhile I on Ghoulsaw* WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! To be more serious, Ghoulsaw at least has something "unique". Double Nikana is just fancy movements. We don't need things like 2x Nikana.
  13. Yeah thats most likely why they left it at 2 rather than going 3 (Noctua could have been a different Verse). Its unlikely DE would consider giving effectively 4x the ability count of a stanard warframe to a single warframe. Yeah, even now some abilities are into "passive' range or duplicate (og of light verse is weak, it's just used to do 4th). And it's not even more abilities. As you pointed what Dante needs? Pretty much. Whatever complains and reservations I've got about Dante's performance have nothing to do with this, this is merely about a gameplay design that I believe would make Dante's gameplay loop more enjoyable / forfilling. People are mad about nerfs so they likes to spam other treads. They don't understand that they are making things worse.
  14. Theoretically they'd just do what they did with the Final Verse system we have, Every possible combination triggers an effect. It'd just be a matter of mapping an effect to a specific combination. So your DLLDLD would trigger a different effect than DLLDLL would. Itd just be easier to mess up trying to get to your intended effect with longer strings lol Maybe it's not genius but Final verse combinations are very intuitive (aka "well" done). There is only 4 combinations It's easy system and it still has "error system" (you can change verses). With 3 verses you would need 2^3=8. With 4 you would have 2^4=16. Even with 8 combos it's still a lot. Warframe is very dynamic game. Such errors would cause players to NOT play it. We need something intuitive.
  15. As an occasional weekly modifier that can cycle in and out. And under this suggestion, if the weekly modifiers was OG only then a player wouldn't take in their CC Frame. Do you seriously only play as 1 Warframe and use the same 3 weapons 24/7? Or do you have a handful whom you've made strong and powerful? Many players who (especially veterans) would see that Modifier and say: I should use a Warframe that can handle Overguard well. Once again, cause you keep overlooking it or ignoring it. (Then again you did say you stopped reading so you probably just didn't see it.) The idea is to get players to engage with the game fundamentals. To adapt to the challenge but without saying: "Use the weapons our rng slot machine gave you and win." In a world that made sense, using the Overguarded Enemies modifier, Players would adjust their loadouts to account for it. They'd grab weapons that inflict high status, and/or can pop that Overguard quickly. They'd alter their mod builds to speed up the process or pick Warframes who would allow them to burn through the Overguard without too much danger to themselves. I can't think of too many who would stubbornly play as a CC Frame when a 'hard counter to CC' modifier is active. (Admittedly I'd prefer if Overguard didn't ignore CC but followed the rule of diminished returns. But the point of my suggestion was to be an alternative to RNG via adding legitimate challenges. Not completely overhaul Overguard and CC.) Great, you pick good combo (frame/weapons) to deal with OG. But you know that probably most of such combos would be good with OG as well. It's like saying "ok let's ban CC one week but next week you can play with anything... mostly". *Some enemies CC has not been seen by player because they have hidden, there is too much noice etc*. You say it isn't reliable but it is. You know that the ability is good for 3 casts, period. YES, BECAUSE YOU ARE LOOKING INTO EACH OTHERS EYES WHILE CASTING CC. I wonder who is your cousins if they are not "everyone". Are they even human being? Back to topic. It's not energy drain. It's "ability duration drain". However it has max drain. Look at Gloom. You know exactly minimum of your Gloom duration (minus calculation time of course).
  16. When has DE ever butchered a frame? Heh Ok, but so you use different elements so your weapons' element damage change too often. So, no.
  17. Thats why i suggested having the book open up and you fill in the Verses you intend to be part of the multi combo and then fire it off once the sequence is complete. Normally, We'd get the effects of the preceeding Light and Dark Verses and then Final Verse triggers a third effect. My suggestion was more along the lines of reversing that operation, So you would "open" the book by holding Final Verse, Write in your 3+ Verse combo and then "close" the book to cause a single powerful new effect. It wouldnt matter how many Verses you wrote in there since it'd only need to look at the exact sequence to pull the matching effect. So if you wrote DLLDLL and closed the book, The ability matched to that specific combo would fire. Since we have 2 inputs, we can basically turn it into Binary for purposes of stringing Verses together for a specific 3+ combo. Yes. for single combo it would work. There is only few issue. If you have error in that combo what would it do? For example you have that DLLDLL combo doing X. You "type" DLLDLD". What happens after you tap 4th? Would it execute all verses? Or would it execute pairs (DL then LD then LD)? Or can you correct errors? For example when you type "LLLLLD" could you just continue with "LLDLL"? Or do you have to type again (tap 4th to finish and hold 4th to start again)? And would it be constant e.g. 3 or 4 combo? Or could we do '2 combo' and '4 combo'? This is all considering gameplay mechanics. Doing all of those things is easy in programming language. In game? It can be cumbersome. And I mentioned multiple combos as you could potentially do amazing work. Say you need to slash(dark verse) X mob N times. Doing it around 1 mob is little cumbersome. With multiple combo you can play with other mobs while simultaneously charge dark verses. However multi combo system has pros and cons, so they would need to consider that.
  18. That would allow long, unlimited (well, 'almost') combos. However with unlimited combos they would need to have some kind of "language". For example (D-Dark verse, L-Light verse): - DDD would cast X - LLL would cast Y - how would you do it to cast something else? "DLLDLL" - you would find LDL? Or just group via 2-3 cast like "DLL DLL"? Or you would allow 3x (DDD) cast but other casts would be repetited L/D casts (with maybe some buffs or stuff)? When you are talking to person you are showing (part of) post. The person you are talking want to see it in language they are speaking. If someone want translation they can do it on their own. If you really want translation, just do copy and post it after answer. I had similar, but restricted suggestion:
  19. You.... Don know what diminished returns are do you? Basically it means you can only do something to an enemy so many times before it's immune. And you don't know how to use quotes. If I have write 2 pages you would quote whole part as well? Not all abilities are "powerful single cast". Some are spammy and get power as they go on. It doesn't prevent abbuse. It just force you to 1-hit-ko style... which is boring. Right, because you don't mention og-only mode? Or there are no more eximus or other enemies with og already? Naaaah. Yeah, you want CC to be good enough. However your suggestion is not, imho. IMHO we need something more reliable and not on-off. For example let's take LImbo Catasis. NUllifiers destroys it. That's bad. Let Nullies and other enemies reduce effectiveness of Catasis by shrinking it. So Nully touches it for 1 second, Catasis start shrinking 1m/s. Same for eximus - they cannot enter it. Set maximum drain and we are in home.
  20. M rated game or just any fiction doesn't mean that you can do the same. Let's say there is murderer in some fiction. That's ok there. You talking about doing "something" to other person in public chat IS NOT OK.
  21. I've done 2 Elite deep archimedea. One was fine. I got corrosive shard + k.nukor armor strip combo. Another (today) were boring. I got my k.nukor but rest were bad. I lost ammo and other weapons were doing not damage. I've almost fall asleep. What about damage attenuation that buffs gear instead of limiting damage per second (or whatever time)? Like you get say Azima. You have been shooting enemy and you have done only 0,001% damage of enemy ehp in last second. Ok, this is weak, weapon so let's buff it. Now you doing 10000x damage or 10% of enemy ehp. That means that you will kill enemy in 10 seconds. You can even give more ammo in such cases. Then you can modify that damage based on: - version: Elite or normal Archimedean - boss, mini boss etc - modifiers (that you select or via mission restrictions) - others
  22. Maybe issue is not exactly 1st pulsating but combination of some effects? You mentioned that it was "dark mission". https://www.webmd.com/epilepsy/photosensitive-epilepsy-symptoms-causes-treatment Do you have same similar effect in "light" missions? In general what about something like Void storms (RJ). I remember constant white flashing makes me tired just after hour. It was like I've spent 3+ hours without any breaks. You can read that website (just random google). It may be helpful.
  23. Not to say that these ideas presented aren't good or anything, but the game does tell you what mods are equipped somewhere via a little hexagon shaped symbol at the bottom of the mod. So I hope that helps. Granted it could probably be more noticeable or have some sort of extra flags/filters for sorting a player's inventory. *surprised pikachu face* I've been playing for so long but I've just for long time and I've not noticed it. It's probably not noticeable on window mode. Thanks for info.
