His kit is around not getting hit: - Procing void (1st) makes enemies not shoot you - Killing enemies with 2nd... makes less enemies that can shoot you - Accused (3rd) enemies are taking shoots so you take less shoots. (More later as it needs some more info) All above works ok with Xaku/4. Except Accuse, above allows you to use a lot of styles. What about Accuse (mind control)? Well, this style works great if you "don't play" (not actively attacking) because you can kill accused enemies. 2nd (GoL) can kill non-accused enemies with some help of Armor strip (3rd) . You have Damage reduction with 4th that you can increase with Sly Vulpha. You can use Carnis set but you have to use Heavies a lot. Then there are other damage reductions. But sadly the best use is AFK style.
  2. And since these mods already have other versions that fit the whole roster, making another that also fits the whole roster would be uhm kinda redundant. In this case it's about additional effect so it won't be redundant. Unless you count things like "energy regen" from other sources. Look at Primary frostbite: however: They would have to build for some damage (or something) but there are a lot of possibilities (e.g. companion that proc it). So that wouldn't be so restricting. Yeah, that's are problem for those as well, however (afair) you could still equip Arcane eruption and proc "on energy pick up" effect. Sure, stuff like Archon shards not giving shields is bad.
  3. I don't fine Kullervo + Tennokai working at all. If you care about speed then it's not much faster (if at all). If you care about combos then kullervo already can gain a lot of combo. Then you have random chance to get (except ever 4th attack, more later). So you get N combo without people around and just waste Tennokai stuff. On every 4th attack it's still forces you to certain pattern that I hate. We are supposed to fight enemies not some timers! I remember Limbo + space program sonicor. haha
  4. Two different types of niche in the context. Filling a niche and being a niche arent really the same thing. In the case of these Archon mods, they are niche mods since they fill a spot in niche builds i.e very specific builds not really mainstream and connected to a select few frames. Amalgam Diffusion isnt a niche nor does it fill the needs of a niche group of builds. Parkour and building for it is popular and quite widespread, so Amalgam Diffusion is really just another regular mod option. Ok, at this point we are arguing over terms. I honestly don't want to. My point that I disagree with you is this: Items (mods, arcanes etc) should be usable "by everyone". It doesn't have to work on "100% power" but you still have to see some benefits. What's the point of building items that are very limited? I get things like Augment mods that change abilities (e.g. Protea that gets armor strip with 2+4) or Augments that works on specific weapon. We end up with game that has only small number of combinations because of those limitations. Game would be much richer without those limitations.
  5. I don't see how that's relevant at all It's relevant because it has been said many times (in many forms) and yet we still have this horrible system. You are basically wasting time writing this. They would even do Genesis system than touch Riven system. That should tell you something.

  7. Not always and not all abilities. For example Nova could use Negative strength but another ability (e.g. armor strip) can use strength. Yeah, some passive would be too powerful and some "ok". They would have to work on case by case so I guess (as you said) no - it's too much work. They are called AUGMENTS. Augments do something more than just add strength. 90%
  8. It would be nice to have version of Intensify that works on each ability and maybe passive. IN case of passive it could double the effects (e.g. Xaku 25% goes to 50%; Zephyr moves 2x faster, has 300% crit, when Wisp touches ground she stays invisible for 2x time, Qorvex has 6m punch trhough).
  9. Filling a niche is something different than being usable via only small part of gear. Amalgam mod that used to (aka past tense) shorten the rolls might be niche. However you could use it on probably all frames.
  10. What you're describing was insignificant due to many other factors outside of the mod. I disagree. The difference were good enough. Not really. When I want to travel long distances I use bullet jump. Rolls isn't used for that. Look at fight with Angel. If I roll from attacks I find myself much farther than I want from Angel. I don't know what to say if you still think it's objective stuff...

  12. I mean, that's because it was objectively a downgrade. You were increasing roll speed without affecting distance. This meant you were rolling a shorter distance with less momentum out of a roll. Amalgam Barrel Diffusion and Mirage's Passive were changed so that the increase in speed also increases the length, meaning it is now a proper parkour bonus. It was "subjectively" only. Rolls has other characteristics than changing position. It has 75% damage reduction and with Rolling guard you become immortal for some time. When we had rolls that took less time we had more time to take action (e.g. shoot).
  13. Amalgam still functions the same for me. It takes gathers dust just the same in my mod station. 😛 Unless they changed it (again): - Amalgam mod before change used to make rolls shorter. Not huge difference but noticeable if you play a lot with it. - Amalgam mod after change make rolls longer. So if your amalgam mod make your rolls smaller then it's probably bug.
  14. That is very likely not what he is refering to since that is just common balance. Maybe, but I wanted to mention it. The items are there but they function (completely) different. Amalgam is still there but there is no mod/item for shorter rolls. Name had stayed but core functionality were removed.
  15. To be honest Corpus ship tileset is now bad. It's great for museum but not so much for gameplay. Not every tileset needs reworks. People mention Void but it's good. Such tilesets needs just some visual uplift (change textures, add some new (hidden) rooms etc.
  16. As @Birdframe_Prime said, in bigger scale they are mostly addition not removal/replacement. However there are still smaller content that are changed/removed. There used to be amalgam mod that shorten rolls - now it makes them bigger. There is no item that does the same (you can use block for this). Xaku used to disarm enemies without restriction. Now you can only disarm N enemies, affected by range (afair). There are frame reworks. Grendel used to eat much more enemies. Now it can eat only 5.

I've always been just fine with farming every other weapon or warframe in the game, never have I had a real issue since farming Nidus like 3 year ago where I had such bad RNG that I had to farm him for a week straight. It's just the low spawn rate combined with not being able to trade or purchase the Detron which gets to me. First, I guess it's completion issue. So it's more "you" problem. We have already few version of Detron. Secondly, why not use Beacons? I mean, for some not old and not completionist it would be problem. But for you? Grab a lot of prime junk and millions of credits and buy bunch of Beacons. After that you can probably pretty easily farm it. Drop chances are big (32 x2 and 17). Unless you have bad luck (it happens) you should have Detron in short time. There are honestly worse grind like Tenet melees. If you not lucky you are wasting lot of time. Using zanuka beacons you can do any mission (that Zanuka can spawn). That's honestly great (after all money & prime junk cost).
  18. With new engine we have some stuff that looks nice but are not necessary or even makes game worse. It's of course subjective. For example I don't like reflection (water, metal surfaces etc). It brings too much noise to the game. I wish we have options to turn them off unless it's necessary for gameplay (e.g. in Deimos you need good enough graphics to see symbols).

They need to change gameplay not visuals. Maybe redoing old tileset might be nice but some are better than e.g. new corpus ship tileset. I'm on the cope that it was a strategic decision to move to a more focused development model. The new guard at DE seemed to have taken a lesson from the old guard's reign, you can't do everything at once. Railjack is still a fundamentally flawed game mode in mission design in how it works as a vessel for co-op gameplay. Archwing is in a dire state, needing a ground up re-envisioning of it's role next to a Railjack. *clap* You got it. I think the same. During that time they had like few frames and almost 0 content for non-rj lovers. Afair at that time they had less players.
  20. And what more could any of us claim to be, really. It's easy for us older players to take for granted that Warframe is a beautiful game, but appreciating beauty is a good thing. Beauty is very subjective. Where I see trash & rocks, OP sees some beauty or something. However "badass" is less subjective. There are dozen of pictures that are more badass or show work of DE team. That picture doesn't show too much. It show some average rocks and average ship (or something). I've seen few picturesque scenes but... that's it. It looks nice but gameplaywise it's horrible/bad. In normal gameplay (non RJ) DE has done much more work, visually and gameplay wise.
  21. Lore =/= gameplay. You could do anything in lore, not so much in gameplay. Protea is the same - she doesn't roll back some stuff, like, afair, combo.
