  1. I mean, that's because it was objectively a downgrade. You were increasing roll speed without affecting distance. This meant you were rolling a shorter distance with less momentum out of a roll. Amalgam Barrel Diffusion and Mirage's Passive were changed so that the increase in speed also increases the length, meaning it is now a proper parkour bonus. It was "subjectively" only. Rolls has other characteristics than changing position. It has 75% damage reduction and with Rolling guard you become immortal for some time. When we had rolls that took less time we had more time to take action (e.g. shoot).
  2. Amalgam still functions the same for me. It takes gathers dust just the same in my mod station. 😛 Unless they changed it (again): - Amalgam mod before change used to make rolls shorter. Not huge difference but noticeable if you play a lot with it. - Amalgam mod after change make rolls longer. So if your amalgam mod make your rolls smaller then it's probably bug.
  3. That is very likely not what he is refering to since that is just common balance. Maybe, but I wanted to mention it. The items are there but they function (completely) different. Amalgam is still there but there is no mod/item for shorter rolls. Name had stayed but core functionality were removed.
  4. To be honest Corpus ship tileset is now bad. It's great for museum but not so much for gameplay. Not every tileset needs reworks. People mention Void but it's good. Such tilesets needs just some visual uplift (change textures, add some new (hidden) rooms etc.
  5. As @Birdframe_Prime said, in bigger scale they are mostly addition not removal/replacement. However there are still smaller content that are changed/removed. There used to be amalgam mod that shorten rolls - now it makes them bigger. There is no item that does the same (you can use block for this). Xaku used to disarm enemies without restriction. Now you can only disarm N enemies, affected by range (afair). There are frame reworks. Grendel used to eat much more enemies. Now it can eat only 5.
  6. I've always been just fine with farming every other weapon or warframe in the game, never have I had a real issue since farming Nidus like 3 year ago where I had such bad RNG that I had to farm him for a week straight. It's just the low spawn rate combined with not being able to trade or purchase the Detron which gets to me. First, I guess it's completion issue. So it's more "you" problem. We have already few version of Detron. Secondly, why not use Beacons? I mean, for some not old and not completionist it would be problem. But for you? Grab a lot of prime junk and millions of credits and buy bunch of Beacons. After that you can probably pretty easily farm it. Drop chances are big (32 x2 and 17). Unless you have bad luck (it happens) you should have Detron in short time. There are honestly worse grind like Tenet melees. If you not lucky you are wasting lot of time. Using zanuka beacons you can do any mission (that Zanuka can spawn). That's honestly great (after all money & prime junk cost).
  7. With new engine we have some stuff that looks nice but are not necessary or even makes game worse. It's of course subjective. For example I don't like reflection (water, metal surfaces etc). It brings too much noise to the game. I wish we have options to turn them off unless it's necessary for gameplay (e.g. in Deimos you need good enough graphics to see symbols).
  8. > Oh, my, that Heavy gunner looks gorgeous. > Let's move on to killing everything like we did. They don't need to put soo much effort (1 year...) to change those stuff. They need to change gameplay not visuals. Maybe redoing old tileset might be nice but some are better than e.g. new corpus ship tileset. I'm on the cope that it was a strategic decision to move to a more focused development model. The new guard at DE seemed to have taken a lesson from the old guard's reign, you can't do everything at once. Railjack is still a fundamentally flawed game mode in mission design in how it works as a vessel for co-op gameplay. Archwing is in a dire state, needing a ground up re-envisioning of it's role next to a Railjack. *clap* You got it. I think the same. During that time they had like few frames and almost 0 content for non-rj lovers. Afair at that time they had less players.
  9. And what more could any of us claim to be, really. It's easy for us older players to take for granted that Warframe is a beautiful game, but appreciating beauty is a good thing. Beauty is very subjective. Where I see trash & rocks, OP sees some beauty or something. However "badass" is less subjective. There are dozen of pictures that are more badass or show work of DE team. That picture doesn't show too much. It show some average rocks and average ship (or something). I've seen few picturesque scenes but... that's it. It looks nice but gameplaywise it's horrible/bad. In normal gameplay (non RJ) DE has done much more work, visually and gameplay wise.
  10. Lore =/= gameplay. You could do anything in lore, not so much in gameplay. Protea is the same - she doesn't roll back some stuff, like, afair, combo.
  11. Ok... where is this badass thing? I see some rocks some and some trash floating in the space.
  12. *meanwhile Kullervo or any frame with heavy attack using melee with long heavy attack like Corufell*:
  13. I know. It was joke. Just guy posting some link without explanation is bad. I don't want to follow any link with certain words.
  14. Meanwhile I have been farming for 2 weeks without single Gyre part in bounties since release: To be more serious, except for Gyre, few untreadable (part) weapon(s) it's in the shop. They did and they do. Where it matters they make huge improvements to grinds. My honest opinion is that important stuff needs pity systems, but more niche farms shouldn't. That's why most new Warframes since the new team took over have pity systems or are direct grinds. You should be able to farm all things in reasonable time, at your own convenience (e.g. no hard time gates like 1 per week) OR it should be buyable/tradeable. I would say lots of things should be buyable/tradeable. If Tenet melees (+1 teneet gun) were buyable whole issue and posts that people post from time to time wouldn't occur (at least not very often). Yeah, some recent(ish) grinds has this stuffs. Still wish they add it to old gear (frames/weapons) and void fissures (solo fissure is HORRIBLE). *clap* +1 We have posted about guaranteed few holos per missions... we get guaranteed 1 holo per Sister. *laughs and cries a little*
  15. Ok, I won't follow this weird looking link. That's probably a virus.
  16. 1) People keep using "pseudo RNG" but don't really understand what it is and why devs use it. When you use pseudo RNG, the results appear random, but when you analyze the results you find out they are distributed equally among all possible values, which is something you actally need in a video game, because true RNG can do trully random stuff and the values can be unevenly distributed. When you have droptables, you NEED the results to be equalized. And yet you don't understand it. Randomness means unpredictability. That means that if you pick 1, 100 or even thousands of numbers you won't know what next number is. Pseudo RNG tries to achieve randomness because it's much easier (hence it takes much less time to perform, so it costs less money) using computers using some formulas. There has been developed many formulas. They all different characteristic (e.g. faster to compute, less memory etc). Sure, you cannot achieve any form of X% with true RNG, because it's about randomness. However achieving X% reliably with PRNG WITHOUT any additions is not possible (or it's just... random). Here is 10 numbers, 1-100: There are 7 numbers above 50. Of course you can get close to X% but you need to run it more times. Devs try to achieve some "close enough" number of drops but they don't care about exact numbers. To achieve what you are talking about you need more than simple PRNG. They are doing something like this with Archons with increasing drop chance (you are guaranteed to get 1 Tau every 5 or 6 runs). Yes, because machines are perfect... /sarcasm Lots of people don't even complain. There are 20+ pages in HOlokeys workshop. I think there were more in some other topic.
  17. According to quantum mechanics there is non-zero probabilty that if you run into a wall all your atoms will quantum tunnel past all the atoms of the wall and you will get through unharmed. The probability of that not happening is not 100%, there is a very small chance. Go try it. So 90% people get drops within 4.92 runs (~5). Say, 10 000 users playing it, that means 1000 people would get it within 5 runs. 100 people would get it in 10 runs. And you are assuming that PRNG is the same and there are not bugs. That's wrong. Math alone won't says if OP is unlucky or not.
  18. With a chance of 37.5% and 10 attempts there is 99.0905% chance OP already got the drop at least once. With 38 attempts it would be 99.9999982% With 100 attempts it would be 99.9999999% And again, it's chance not 100% certain that you get it. It's like you have N balls colored red & blue. There is 37.5% red balls. You pick 1 ball and put it back. Everytime the chance is still 37.5% to pick red ball. And you are assuming that system is not bugged. I've been doing Zariman bounties for 2 weeks, hours daily, without single drop. I heard that servers can get bugged so it gives you same/similar drop (hence no drop you want). Sure, make sense.
  19. While what you say it's possible, with such a high drop rate (37.5%) it's very unlikely. Are you sure you are running voidstorm missions? 37.5% doesn't mean that you will get it every ~3rd mission. No. It means, more or less, that 37.5% of drops would be THE DROP. It can be in first 38 mission from 100 or from 400+ doing 1000. I've seen many claims that people have low drop of Holokeys. So I guess there is some issue.
  20. Everyone with low end or potatoes pcs have been noticing steady performance loss. They have been talking about removing classic graphic engine. My guess is that 8GB is not enough. Recent quests or open world seems to require more ram. I'm using 8GB with integrated card and I couldn't run Duviri. Today running quest showed "no memory" window (and caused some WEIRD desktop graphic issue - black screen on right, no theme, reloading helped). So much more than 8GB is needed (doing stuff in ship yeilds ~3.5 ram usage on integrated card). Much like any game systems, you have to upgrade or get left behind on the new games coming out. It still was nice that I could run lots of content with 7 years old laptop with integrated card. I feel OP's pain (or their friend) but at the same time it's understandable that we need to move to new hardware.
  21. They could pick random (at runtime or at the design) abilities. Like this? Joking aside, it would be so fun. Sure, you would fine some nice combos but lots of them are very similar ability. Hence, there wouldn't be many interesting combos. Plus, we don't have Ultimates.
  22. I don't think it needs to be faster, I've just seen comments when it first came out that because riding it goes fast it shouldn't be able to be ridden forever. Which is strange because bullet jumping is faster I meant that when you have "slam on next melee" (or similar) then every player can modify how fast they want to go by using Fury & co mods.
