  1. Yeah, all they would need to do is have the "kicked" person get a "host left, squad disbanding" message and they literally wouldn't know the difference. The Host could have the option to 'kick'. Just hit escape/menu, move your cursor over to the player you want to boot and scroll down to the 'kick player' option. Occasionally me and a friend play and it's a pain to do a fissure or something, then wait for the other guys to take a clue and leave. We end up just leaving and reforming by ourselves but it's completely unnecessary. I don't see how it would get abused, if you're in a LFG chat there's no reason you should get booted, and if you're in a random queue and loading in it wouldn't apply (I think this would only be the Lobby, not a mission kick) so the only reason anyone would get 'kicked' is if they were taking their sweet time on a partial pre-made squad. And again, as long as DE didn't make a message like "NOBODY LIKES YOU, GO AWAY!" lol then nobody would know the difference.
  2. I'm just trying to stay optimistic 😁 Usually if a game has a full on implosion, the financial fallout can be catastrophic for a developer. Now DE has tencent's backing, but they'll only put up with so much failure before they do something drastic.....
  3. It doesn't look terrible, but we'll have to see. Compared to the drifter-style gameplay we have in Duviri, this looks much more appealing. After seeing the new tileset for Deimos and the warframe gameplay looking pretty sweet, I'm a little more encouraged from this Tennocon.
  4. Yeah I'm not interested in that kind of game, so I'm not worried about them taking away too many warframe players. It's almost reckless for a studio the size of DE now to only have 1 active game, so increased revenue streams should make both games better.
  5. Ugg, sorry for your loss bro 😑 The first thing I did on after the war within was get a 111 amp from cetus, it's dirt cheap and infinitely better than the mote amp... Do you have Madurai unlocked and available? The extra damage may be able to help you on that front, especially if you have Void Strike... As others have said, body block Lotus with your warframe...
  6. I think the biggest problem they have is figuring out all the "special deals" on different platforms as to which skins/cosmetics or other special stuff, and how it'll apply. If there's a Playstation exclusive, how do they feel about giving Xbox and PC access to it? Does it stay on that platform and "grey out" when you play on a different platform? How about Tennogen, which can be bought for Platinum on playstation/Xbox (because there aren't coupons on their stores IIRC, so the value is true to money). A player might have 20K or more plat that they got for coupons or traded for primed mods, and then go on a buying spree of tennogen on PS5 once their plat is linked. Then the original creator gets bones as they don't technically get the sale cred for it (or DE gets boned as the creator gets payed but they don't get their cut).... It's much more of a problem when you try and cut and hack things together so items can only be used on their respective platform, and it adds a TON of complexity to the transition of adding cross save. If it wasn't for the exclusive deals, I'd be willing to bet we'd have full cross save by now...
  7. That's basically how the armor system works in Everspace 2. Shields completely protects against physical damage, armor completely protects against energy weapons, once those are down your health is exposed (pretty much ALL weapons do both damage types, but usually more skewed to one or the other). You'll pretty much always have an energy buster weapon and an armor buster weapon for the tougher enemies. (most weapons will shred the potato enemies easily enough). With that said, weapon switching is instant, and weapons have unlimited ammo and recharge even when stowed. They make it rewarding to utilize 2 different (or 3) weapons for different purposes. Your armor and shield level/power determines what damage reduction you get, and they give you ways to regenerate both (shields automatically after a delay, and armor rebuilds with kills) I don't know how easily it could be changed, but the idea of shields and armor protecting against different damage types is certainly interesting. it could bring physical damage types back into usefulness and the elemental damage types would still have their uses, If an enemy shreds your shields down, it's not going to do much against your armor, so you want to focus on enemies based on what kind of damage they are doing. Anyways, just rambling here more than anything.... Everspace 2 certainly has its problems but I do think the armor/shield/damage system was pretty well done.
  8. Lol @ more people asking to nerf the best damage type so you have to stand there for 20 seconds unloading into an enemy to kill it, while the 30 others destroy your objective 😝 Man oh man, it's like some people are literally masochists and just want to ruin the fun of this game by nerfing everything. How about bringing back corrosive to completely and permanently strip armor? or Gas doing toxin damage through shields. There are a TON of ways to theoretically deal with armored enemies in this game but they have all been nerfed into uselessness. They even made many warframes have an easily achievable "full armor strip" ability because armor levels are so goofy into high levels, but not all warframes have that luxury. If you want more options to be available, they REALLY need to look at every status effect and look at ways to make them better. Corrosive was always the way to deal with armored enemies. Now it's fine for base star chart and okay base steel path missions, but it falls off VERY quickly if you do any endurance. I still remember when the Kuva Quartakk came out and I could shred a steel path bombard or heavy gunners armor in like 2 shots. (pre galvanized mods). Ya know what though? Nowadays a HM viral kuva Quartakk can one shot them if you get enough slash procs. If one doesn't kill them, 2 WILL. I have seen what happens when a company starts obsessing with Meta Stomping. Warframe literally cannot lose that many players right now. A balanced approach is necessary, not mindlessly swinging the nerf hammer. Slash has been meta in this game for a VERY long time, and if they come out and stomp it, it's going to damage pretty much every strategy to engage higher level content in this game. I'd really like to see other status types more prevalent, but I also don't want to see what happens when people's weapons and builds get nerfed into obscurity. AGAIN. I used to play with a good 10-15 guys on warframe, now I'm down to ONE other guy...
  9. Yeah I mean, 150 steel essence over 2 months is average 2.5 a day. A couple hours once a week and it's no problem. I haven't specifically TRIED to farm steel essence for over a year and I usually get a couple hundred a month just from the few bits here and there that I do...
  10. I know, but it does recharge your shields so you'll get the 1.3 seconds of invulnerability with shield gating, as shield gating resets once your shields hit max.
  11. Yeah through shield gating, she restores shields so it should reset your shield gate which (if you're taking enough damage) should disappear almost instantly. Would look like your health just goes grey for a second and then recasts and shields are back. I think you get just over a second if your shields are maxed. That's about all I can really think of unless someone was running around as an operator using Vazarin Protective sling (although that's like a 5 second invulnerable and would be more obvious).
  12. Trin spamming blessing? not a terrible strategy if that's what's happening...
  13. Funny you guys mentioning this stuff, if you look at Valkyr double jumping in Hysteria she looks like Space jumping, just add some electricity (vengeful charge ephemera) and it legit looks like a screw attack 😎 If you ever get the 6 jump reset Helminth, it's all sorts of fun to watch!
  14. I actually really like using Valkyr's ripline. It was also mega fun to rip your team mates off ledges before that got 'fixed' 😆
  15. It wasn't the Nihil fight he had trouble with, I was just saying there are things in this game where there's really zero practice for (like the MR25 test) that are never seen before, or after so it's difficult for people to 'practice' and get used to it. And because of that some people just get completely left behind. I like the parkour in this game, so I probably do way more of it than I should, but not everybody has the reaction time and experience of a player like me. I like things like Void flood and stuff where you want to be bouncing around and in the air. But MANY players I've seen don't like that. When it comes to the Nihil fight, you only get maybe 2 seconds of "wind up" before he swings. Your brain takes about a second to respond to an active stimuli so by the time your brain recognizes he's about to swing you have maybe a half second to jump. Then he starts warping around and if you turn around and see him already "charged up" to swing you may not be able to jump out of the way in time... Even with my experience it took 2 fights to "beat" him this second time around. Which brings me to ANOTHER point. This game is BRUTALLY bad at describing anything for new players. They literally throw a boss fight at you and say "have fun!" and that's it. No Ordis, nothing to say "Hey those Crystals are protecting him, see if you can find a way to shatter them" or something. When doing the Orowyrm fight for the first time it took a good solid 5 minutes (and a TON of getting knocked off) before I realized you could just JUMP and go over the energy field. then move up the wyrm.... The game doesn't give you anything like Star Fox where slippy analyzed the bosses and gave you pointers at where to shoot at. It can be incredibly frustrating for newer players and even seasoned players that haven't done content yet. There's a reason out of the 6-8 guys I used to play games with very regularly... only 2 of them and myself ended up sticking with warframe 😑
  16. A good friend of mine has dyslexia and his reactions left/right can be a bit of a stutter. He was physically not capable of doing the MR25 (advanced mobile capture point test) so I had to help him out with that one... The game really does have some goofy weird mechanics that only show up in one place or another to never be seen again...
  17. Almost 2 years now! I still have my Pathocyst collecting dust.... Would love to use it again one day.
  18. I got all mine from Hepit, it's my goto when doing lith farming. I usually get irriated when it takes more than 50 seconds with Titania :p You can also get lucky and get a Void fissure capture and farm void traces at the same time
  19. Who in this game LIKES to be knocked over? Like really? Warframe is the only game I've played where there's a stagger mechanic like that for the player. You can literally get stunlocked. I may only have it on like 4 or 5 frames, but it's mind boggling that people like to get knocked over 🤪 How about.... don't install it and let other people invest in something that removes an annoying part of the game?
  20. If you get a really close look at them, they definitely look like Grineer soldiers/guards from the Zeriman (I'd be shocked if they didn't have soldiers on a military ship at the height of the Orokin empire.)
  21. Ohh yeah, all the friggin time. At least they could make the "hop over an obstacle" animation quick and smooth like Doom (2016) instead of this unnatural flip-di-doodle thing. But yeah, the maps are just covered with all sorts of obstacles and things to snag you. I actually think they do it on purpose to slow down progression through the map and increase player time. It might only be .5% but that's a way to make players take longer to get through a mission 😝
  22. If you can't find it in your inventory, open a support ticket in the "Support Desk" tab up at the top of the page. They should be able to locate and refund your Frostbite Arcanes, or restore it to your profile. May take a few days for them to reply to your request.
  23. I think this is a solid idea. In D2 several of the scopes would 'outline' the enemies in red showing you them even in darkness. I don't think it's a terrible idea to have an effect showing off enemies.
  24. This ones happened to me EVERY time I've played through it, luckily just logging out and back in fixes it.
  25. I mean, most of the boss fights in this game are pretty mediocre compared to D2... I don't really know how to fix them, but IMHO bosses like Lech Krill and Sargus Ruk where you have "objetcives" to accomplish are better ways than giving a boss a giant health bar and just shooting at it. There are some semblances of that in the sentient spawns and stuff like that, but it's not enough to really make the boss fights in this game fun or exhilarating. Even when I was a new player the boss fights were pretty much just "shoot thingy get Widget"...
