(PSN)KingGuy420
I mean, where's the national pride fellas? What's next? Gonna trade in metric for imperial? When's the last time you even had a poutine 0.o? Smh.... Lol. In all seriousness though, I have been genuinely curious about this for quite awhile. Have they ever mentioned why? Stormandreas
Likely because WF is primarily marketed in America, which has stupid spellings of things XD

Erytroxylin
Both are correct. I think they should put a randomizer in the code that makes it sometimes use the c and sometimes the s just to mess with people.

CupcakesMoo
I personally think that meandering around a point just to make said point is definitely the weird part. Also Cs being used as Ss and Ks interchangeably. Edited August 28, 2018 by CupcakesMoo

Who said I was bothered? Lol. It's just weird to see a proudly Canadian company use an American spelling. I find it odd, but that doesn't mean I find it bothering. -skimmer-
How about Thefence mode? Or just call it globe mode. All of that sounds defensively enough. Edited August 28, 2018 by -skimmer-

Canada is right next to the USA, obviously the spelling would bleed over from one to the other. And considering how USA's culture is bleeding all over the world, I'm not surprised the British spelling lost out.
kyori
Interesting... so Americans spell Fence as Fense perhaps lol

DE, without a doubt, had an internal discussion on whether to use C or S... Show national pride or pander to Americans. It's clear which one they chose lol. Canadians do this ALL the time. Every time someone asks me for directions I think to myself "do I give it to this guy in feet or metres?". Every time someone asks me what the weather is like here I do some quick math so I have both. That's what Canadians do... Pander to American differences since most Americans couldn't care less about knowing both lol.

Dama73
Its funny, pretty much every canadian I know uses British english spelling and grammer, yet DE uses American spelling ingame.

I'm talking strictly about the Canadian version of British English in which snogging is not used. Also, never once said one was weirder than the other. So yeah, not the important. Definitely not relevant lol. Edited August 28, 2018 by (PS4)KingGuy420
