TennoGenAnnouncement.jpg

As you might have seen during our Art Panel at TennoCon 2020, we are expanding our TennoGen program offerings this year!

Files and guides for the following content are now available:

New Melee Weapons:

*Our Melee Guide has been updated to explain placement guidelines for these weapons to prevent clipping!

Shoulder Armor Pieces
After seeing the amazing Chest Armor Pieces our community has submitted, we felt that Shoulder armor was a great next step to offer more Warframe customization in our TennoGen program!

The rules and guidelines are different than their Chest counterparts, so we have a guide available here: https://www.warframe.com/steamworkshop/help/index.php?page=creating-shoulder-armor-pieces

New Landing Crafts:

  • Scimitar
  • Xiphos
  • Nightwave

We can’t wait to see what the community comes up with! :community:

Ah for a moment I thought the next rounds items were announced. Nice to see a thread for this is up though.

If you don't mind me asking, how exactly does Shoulder pieces work? Is it only one shoulder or both? Or is that up to the tennogen creator? If so, will there be a way to tell if it includes only one or both shoulders?

We are only accepting sets of 2 for shoulder pieces at this time. It's outlined in the guide! 🙂

deadline for round 19 was july 20, not sure about the other stages but maybe in a month or so?

Should be this week if they're consistent, round 18 deadline/release was January 20th/February 6th.

The Sword can have one point of articulation -- this is optional, but some melee combos do make use of it. The movement mechanism should be limited to one moving part, with the goal of creating a shearing motion like the Lacera or Mios.

So it is possible to not have any articulation at all? as in regular blade instead of 2 scissor blades?

That should be told to Baro Ki'Teer and his missing right Prisma Latron Shoulder Plate. 🤔

Will there be any consideration after Heart of Deimos drops to include the Entrati as a valid faction for Tennogen artists? Given TennoCon was literally last week, it might take a year minimum before creators have access to making things based on the Necramechs or Entrati. I just wondered if it was possible to "speed it along" as it were.

I do understand there should probably be a grace period first so that creators can familiarize themselves with the faction and their artstyle proper before beginning work.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Jat Kusar is already a one bladed blade-whip. If so, it would definitely mean yes.

Yep, you're correct: articulation (as in: two blades on a pivot point) is not a requirement for blade and whip. Some attack animations make use of the double blades but the animations are still fine without the second moving part. We encourage you to take advantage of it of course, since it's a quality unique to this type of weapon, but it is entirely up to you whether you want to or not.

One more question, does the pivot point and the direction of the moving blade needs to match Lacera? or the skins can have its own custom pivot point?

Keep it around the same area, but it doesn't have to match perfectly. Goal is to retain the same type of scissor-like motion.

Sorry to do this, but since you're here are you ok with either looking or answering two questions I've posted previously?
