PSA - The Circuit: Stage 4 Progression Issues - RESOLVED

Hi Tenno,

We’re aware of issues arising since our last hotfix relating to The Circuit gamemode in Duviri. Players are currently unable to progress to Stage 4 in both Normal and Steel Path versions of the Circuit. 

The team is aware and is looking for a fix -- our goal is to have one for you tomorrow (Thursday). In the meantime, we recommend extracting at Stage 3 to ensure you keep all Circuit rewards.

Oh Circuit bugs out more than just moving to round 4.  Right now I'm sitting in a round 3 of SP excavation and no enemies are spawning, but the extractors are.

in the patch notes it says

If you fail or leave The Circuit, you lose the Circuit Progress you earned for that round. 

but in game says you lose all progress of the entire mission, (and does so), i've lost about two hours worth of progress to leaving after softlock (due to both this bug and host migration).

if you leave mid bounty do you keep rewards from last extraction choice?

My sugestion.

Before the updates are released, create a test server for users to play a simplified version of the new mission type, no rewards or anything fancy with the UI, just a simple "play this mission" button
Have the community test it, then fix the issues with host migration, clients not working properly compared to hosts, general fixes essentially

Then release the update.

Some of the issues here just require play testing, if you play you will find the issues. While it's true we aren't on the levels of the Nightmare Raid (the one with an uncompletable hijack section), i mean, it's not great to see such basic things not working.

Regardless, we apreciate the effort in making things right, it's an enjoyable update from my point of view.

Hi Taylor,

 

there is a really easy hotfix to make this bug a whole lot less annoying: Don't accumulate rewards and pay out directly after the round instead.

Rising rewards will still make people keep progressing, but at least this way anyone who encounters a bug at any stage of the circuit will not be punished by losing a substantial time investment. So yeah, people who are overextending are risking less that way, but that should not be your main priority in this.

This, got affected and it felt really bad to lose progress. Sure it wasn't that much, but it should be something to keep in mind.

Back in the day we had a similar issue with host migrations and Survival and it was miserable, so I'd expect some knowledge to have impacted reward and account progression by now :/

I agree with the other posts too, played steel path circuit for an hour but earned nothing from it. Had to leave the mission 3 times due to host migration and stage 4 bugs.

You can easily push for hour+ runs in this game mode but loosing all the rewards at the end to a bug is just super frustrating.

A system that saves your progress every time you unlock a tier reward would be nice

and we know this is possible because this is how railjack missions work.  Payout after each mission and leave whenever you want.  We have 3 days to farm the current circuit reward path and with constant progress preventing bugs even after multiple patches it makes it difficult to complete.  Especially for people with limited free time.  Hopefully the either extend it or fast track everyone up a few tiers to make up for it.

taking a pretty long time to push this hotfix live...it's what, 2pm where the DE office is and still no sign of a hotfix.

Honestly they really should do this, bump everyones unlock track up to either level 5 or level 10, whichever is closer, we've already got a much shorter timeframe to unlock things this week as is, without the circuit ALSO bugging out for at least a day.

I have had it happen while moving to wave 2 and to wave 3 both its not exclusively happening at the point transitioning to wave 4

nothing yet...it's nearing 5pm at the DE offices, which means the office day is ending fairly soon and no fix out unless they're planning to stay late to push it out.
