Yes, more transparency on the behind the scenes. Thank you so much, seriously.

The Vacuum range should have been left alone, as stated in the countless threads.

This is a Pyrrhic victory, at best, for the people that wanted universal vacuum.

Me, I will still use Carrier Prime anyway, so time to see if the nerf is worth it for ammo conversion..

woH.. ah the usual bug of right to left text after splitting a quote...

We're starting with Sentinels to have this contained group of content analyzed. We will be keeping a close eye on how all of you feel about the new vacuum as well as looking at metrics to see how the distribution of sentinel usage changes across the community (right now 80% of you use Carrier)! We will share results along the way as a team, as soon as this Friday on Devstream #81!

How exactly are you going to get an honest representation of companion usage when players may not even have the other sentinels and you specifically exclude valid alternatives such as kavats/kubrows that players may have already... just doesn't make sense to me.  Not to mention realistically the ammo case precept is likely going to be seen as being more useful than the other sentinel precepts for a lot of people.. I know to me it is and this is coming from someone who has the choice of every companion except wyrm prime....

I'm going to be completely honest and say realistically the only way you'll get people to use other sentinels is to make them 'standardised' and all sentinel mods to work on every sentinel so we can pick and choose the body style with the precepts we want.

Gazal Machete - Each kill with this swooping blade adds bonus corrosive damage to the Djinn Sentinel’s next Fatal Attraction cast. In turn, each Fatal Attraction cast by the sentinel bestows the weapon with a period of corrosive damage.

Um won't this skew any results regarding Djinn due to people wanting to try out a new weapon or get MR standing.... assuming people rush the gazal, which some will obviously.

All Sentinels now have a passive 6 meter Loot Vacuum, no Mods required!

This particular Update note is going to be a bit of a read, so get ready!

It’s been a long time coming and a highly request change! I

Requested.. yeah.. sure.

Employers:

- Boss, my $3000/month salary is too low for 8h/day.

Boss

- Ok..  $3100/month.. but for 16h/day

Highly request change. You ask for it.. don't you?

DE logic.. as usual..

What next? After a week and 10 forum flooded by "why nerf?" messages they will change it to "8 meters".. and nobody will see that this is _still_ nerf for carrier users.

Carrier usage represents almost 80% of the total used Sentinels

So.. you  just NERF sentinel used by 80% of the players..

Good job!

Yay, more running around and collecting stuff instead of actual playing. As if it wasn't enough that we already got more and more items the carrier couldn't pick up (reactant, ayatan stars). Reducing QoL will really make ppl enjoy the game ;)

Huh. The Gazal Machete sounds intriguing. I like the idea of weapons that synchronize with companions.

I hope this is pursued further and we'll see some more love for Helios, Shade, Wyrm, and Dethcube.

I'd rather have weapons that boost the performance of all companions, instead of singling out one. Doesn't even have to be new weapons, just buffs to under-performing weapons would be fine.

A line of "pet weapons" would be an interesting way to add another degree to weapon balance beyond more DPS. But having weapons tied to single companions feels limiting to a loadout.

I hope you guys (DE) realize you just shot yourselves in the foot again, your goal with this change was to give all the sentinels vacuum to distribute usage of more sentinels by making Carrier less unique, but what you just did by giving Carrier the new Ammo precept, plus making vacuum innate you have unwittingly made Carrier doubly more useful than the other Sentinels, lol as Bugs Bunny use to say, what a bunch of maroons lol.
