PSN: Remove Verification Process

Recommended Posts

It's a shame that console Tenno are forced to wait weeks and sometimes months behind PC as DE strives to compact as much content as possible for builds that are outdated upon release.

I don't blame DE and neither should you however, given the opportunity to bypass the Sony verification process for Warframe would allow the devs to provide updates in a more timely fashion which is what I'm suggesting.

The arguments against this idea is that some console players are afraid of minor bugs that may be delivered upon release of a new build but I would care to argue against that as well. Does DE not release patches for their updates almost immediately and consistently?
The second argument against this is usually, I like the opportunity to see what PC has first so I can prepare. That that preparation time justify the wait? Was it worth the wait in January when the next update to release was in March?

The drought continues as we fail to offer DE our support by pressuring Sony into allowing them freedom to satisfy their base audience consistently without permission.

No, it may be what you want, but anyone who knows better knows that we don't want that. A update that has a simple bug that makes the game randomly close on PC would more then likely crash the consoles.

Luckily, Sony or Microsoft would never do this because crashing consoles and/or unplayable games are bad for business.

I think you vastly underestimate one very important thing.  Most of the big nasty bugs are ironed out of new content before it sets foot on our door step.

Think of the builds as a big shaggy rescue dog!

Mama Lotus goes and picks out a rescue puppy (New Warframe Build) for us, but when it first get's home the oldest child (PC) has to give it a bath, and treat it for flees.  Yeah they get to meet Puppers Von Tenno first, but the poor fella isn't in the best of condition.    Now by the time we younger children (Console) get home Puppers is clean and while there may be a few fleas here are there most of them got nuked in the flea bath, and the guy is just ready to play chase and run and BRING ORDER TO THE UNIVERSE.

Like, waiting longer than we might have to otherwise is frustrating, but it is what it is, and there are good reasons for that extra time that I won't rehash, as others have already covered it. At any rate, we'd never be caught up to PC just because it's a port and the console builds have to be essentially translated from the original, so it still takes time.

It's not going to happen any time soon. It's a way for Sony and Microsoft to make sure that content isn't going to have things that don't sabotage the console itself.

Sorry, but consoles trade fast upload times for quality checks. And it's not going to change for a long time (and neither should it).

Nuked? Try the entire region of flea occupation is carpet bombed into the bedrock, flash incinerated by a hundred million Ignis-toting Ember Primes, flash-frozen by another hundred million Glaxion-toting Frost Primes, then given a twice-over with unbelievably strong, and likely illegal, pesticides delivered six months ahead of deployment by the tanker load.

Any surviving fleas are hunted down and executed by Kulstar-toting Ash Prime squads with Kubrow escorts.

Sony's certification process is to protect the system from any game breaking and potentially system breaking bugs. Also, the game is operating on Sony's network which means anything that is added to it is at the mercy of Sony. I don't mind the wait. It means know what content changes are coming so we can better prepare and we know we are getting an update that is less bug infested. Think of it like this, PC is beta testing updates for console.

This thread seems to be beating the dead horse now and should (and probably will) be locked soon.

Kamranos is right, we get the updates first, sure that seems justified and I wish there was another way, However look on the bright side, Us PC's are pertty much your Bug testers for you, we Iorn out Bugs with DE, so you Tenno-Fokes at Xbone and PS4 grab a fresh and non-bugged experience, Also some PC tenno wish to be in your shoes, Delayed updates, but with more Fixs and such and so.

Also, you fokes get much bigger Content all in one get-go, once so much is on PC, so you don't have to wait for Hotfix-1-2-3-4 etc.

P.S Also an;'t this a Feedback thing?

I don't see these happening. we could be near to pc but never at the same pace. what would work would be if they made pc update than patch what ever is broken than have THE WHOLE TEAM on the ps4 update but that would mean pc players would get delayed a little bit but that would upset pc player base which DE doesn't like to upset lol. in other words eh not gonna happen but at least they are some what trying. Do what i do when ever DE says soon always assume 3 months and when they surprise you it wont feel as long lol.

Firstly, cert only takes a week or there abouts. The reason we are months behind has nothing to do with cert but the fact that pc is the lead platform and is developed for first.

secondly, we are not just talking annoying bugs and crashes, we are talking the possibility of your console becoming an expensive plastic brick.

Nothing is bypassing cert and rightly so, sorry.

Seems to be the case this time lol.  I think they announced our cut off for our next build is this week so we will get the clean SotR.  We do appreciate the good job PC does on bug reporting.  I follow the threads and it's impressive.

There are so many Community Rules violations in this thread, if this was a cert process, it'd fail.

Certifications have been getting much quicker, but we still need to make sure our builds are as polished and stables as possible. Please, be respectful when discussing these kinds of issues. We obviously want to get new content onto consoles quickly as well.

What can I say? After being among the "console peasants" for a time myself, and running into ridiculously over-powered bugs in some games, I traded up to PC and stayed there... There are, of course, games that are console-only, but I dislike finding bugs, and knowing the developers can't do much of anything about it without releasing an entirely new version of the game disc in question.

That said, I appreciate the thoroughness DE applies to bug handling and removal.

i'm just putting this out there, but don't put your fallout 4 console mod stresses on warframe(who has an actual group doing work on versions of the games) m.k.

just play other games that come out while waiting for new builds, or build some weapons for mr or other i know that the twin basolk and dark split sword are getting buffs so i built them :)

Certification is required period, they are not something to just bypass, be patient and entrust in both the devs and Sony/Microsoft. Theye want you to play the new content just as quickly as you want it, but you want it ready and prepared in order to run smoothly and fit within the consoles storage requirements.
