Do you believe the wait was worth it? (Spoilers?)

No, it was too short. The quest was great and everything, but DE hyped it up to be this massive quest which was much much longer than second dream, but it wasn't. In fact it seemed to be even shorter than the second dream which is just disappointing to say the least.

This. Also the new mods are Rifle only, and weapon specific.

Leaving me as a melee player completely uninterested.

To top it off, the new weapons are fodder tier.

It's a little on the short side. That is literally my only complaint. Was expecting something 4 to 6 times as long as the second dream give the wait and the buzz around it. But really like everything else. Thought the infest part of the ship was going to get resolved, but no, it was just another joke from Ordis (Btw ordis is actually kinda funny in this quest :p) Also wish I knew what the black and white sundial looking thing is for, and if clicking "control it" would later make me lose out on some stuff.

Also, please let us buy that huge &#! ayatan statue. I would kill for one of that in my ship.

Sorry about your experience, are you getting a crash report ######? We'd like to help fix that.

There was no number, but the hotfix fist the first layer of issues. Now that I've completed the quest and gotten no email and no rewards from Teshin, we have another problem.

I personally do. It may've been quite a long damn time but.. Man, you can just feel the love in this update. You really can.

We all love you, [DE]. If this is the amount of creativity we can keep expecting from you from here on out, hell, you got yourself a player for life.
Just try not to make it to long each time, eh? :p

no definitely do not think it was worth. all we got were unique mods and gameplay thats gone in an hour not even in the main game. useless

I loved it. I'm a bit more confused than I was before, though. So many questions. What was up with controlling the Maws? When will that happen again? How exactly did those choices affect me? I don't see the impact. I need some sort of explanation of the story. It seemed like it was trying to explain a bit about the Zariman 10-0 and what happened before, and then how that related to Margulis, but I honestly didn't feel like it really clearly told us what was happening. I feel like the quest did a lot, but I honestly have no idea what it did.

Once AGAIN, a whole lot of nothing, story wise. Seriously. I'm sick of this cryptic beating around the bush instead of giving us straight answers. It's like they're trying to hype up to a bigger reveal the next time but it just falls flat. Ooooh, what was that voice at the end!? What really happened on the Zariman? What's the void!? Something, something, darkness, power, it gets tiresome.

Gameplay wise, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I like the new transference and Tenno mechanics and the implications it has for gameplay. That's what I really loved about it. I lost my S#&$ when my operator came out of my Tenno. A funny allusion to the "pilot" cannon we all actually wanted. Now fanart can make sense because people still drew Warframes as if someone was in them. Glad DE fixed that.

But yeah, the story is just bothersome how the try to act all cryptic and foreboding.

Well, I was until the Archwing mission. God, those things are the work of the Devil. Please phase out Archwing in future quests. Just... make it optional like Conclave. Keep it for the people who like it, and for those who like the main Warframe experience, don't have to hassle with this nonsense. They control about as well as a drunk hippo, so trying to follow the bloody ship is impossible.

Yes it was. Woke up at 5AM to update and play the game.

Got frustrated at a couple of parts, but once I figured it out, it was fine. Those sections could use perhaps a little more help though.

People just focus on the main thing, that would be the quest, but don't seem to understand that you're the same number of people as 4 years ago when this project launched. After playing throughout the quest it's no wonder that it took that time, really. There's much more to this massive update than the quest, something else is whether they wanted it to be something else.

Yes, Warframe's issues remain still. No, the world isn't over and that doesn't make the update less worth it. Now that this is finally out of the way, the team is "free" again. They've been restricted for 6 damn months.

The Archwing in this quest wasn't even that hard, and I struggle with Archwing. Making it optional is the easy way out, the real solution is to keep working and improving on it.

Impossible though?

You're exaggerating because you don't like it. Every mission type won't always be your favorite and they obviously worked incredibly hard on this, staying at work til 11 to keep their promise on releasing their video game.

This thread shouldn't exist yet. Let them take a week before the complains at least.

I enjoyed the quest. Its obvious the amount of effort that went into it.

With that being said, the one thing I hate the most about this game.... the very one thing.... fills this quest to the hilt. When a new mechanic, or feature is introduced, or a choice must be made, or you are asked to respond to something...... and the outcome clearly depends on your involvement.... there is no information, rhyme or reason as to how, or why you need to make that choice, or the repercussions of making it.

This game expects you to hit the ground running with no information about anything. The story is neat, but it left me very confused as it progressed. I found myself wondering why I was doing it, what purpose does it have, and what significance do my choices have. Now that ive finished it, im still wondering all three things. DE needs to do a better job as providing enough information to make logical choices. If the choices dont matter, then dont make us make them.

EDIT: Also, as far as the update itself is concerned..... I think once you guys have a "satisfactory" build, you need to test it for at least a week before you release it. I would much rather wait another week, or another month for a solid experience not interrupted with a crash or broken progression bug or whatever other game breaking flaw shows up. I really hate it when you guys pull late nights like this. The dedication is commendable, but when it comes down to crunch time, it feels like the build gets rushed and is generally unplayable, as once again can be seen by many people in this latest iteration. Every time over the last 4 years? There has not been one smooth release. I would suggest having an internal time frame.... stay up late to meet that, then test if for another week so you can dedicate that time for bug fixes.... then release to public.

I understand you just want to get your content out because you are proud of it, and it generates revenue... but if you are so proud of it (not saying you shouldnt be), wouldnt you want your players to have the best possible experience with no interruptions like crashes, and progression stoppers? It just seems like things could be done more efficiently or differently to influence a more enjoyable outcome.

This quest was WELL worth the wait, it wasn't only good; it well surpassed the Second Dream in my opinion. I loved every segment of the quest including the maws which everyone seems to nitpick even if they are hard to pass through. The tense stealth segments are fun, the laser phase with archwing made me feel as if I was actually infiltrating something top secret and the reveal of information and lore was more than I could have asked for. I hate how people feel like they deserve more content when DE clearly poured their souls into making this wonderful story driven adventure that lasts at least an hour which is more time than most triple A games give for a good quest. People feel so privileged these days and it makes me sick; keep up the incredible work DE!

I enjoyed the quest but that's not entirely what I was waiting for, still it was very well done and I enjoyed the cinematic.

I wanted to MEAT of the update. Endless missions back, fixes like bombard not hitting you through walls, new enemies, new tilesets, new progression and I'm interested to see what I can accomplish with my operator outside of my frame.

I think it was worth it, albeit the quest feeling a bit short, I'm really sad the quest isn't replayable though, there is a lot I messed up or missed and it sucks not being able to go back and correct it. (finally thought we were done with the one play quests after the second dream change)

Maybe when they fixed all the bugs. The quest however was kind of... meh.

The first part bugged out on me completing itself without me having done anything.

The second part was like a boring escort quest, a weird glitch even happend which teleported me behind the ship into the lasers <.<

The cutscene with teshin and the queen's was interesting for lore reasons, but the dialogue from the tenno was kind of cringey... all the tenno's dialogue was just... shameful.

The part where the tenno is back on his ship was kinda S#&$ty with the knockback gas, the first time i tried to go through it the gas just kept spewing until the timer ran out lol.

The part where the tenno is on his own was cool to look at, but somehow i doubt that all that content will be used much which would be quite a shame since obviously alot of effort was put into it. (All dem snow effects were pretty cool)

There's also the parts where the Tenno learns new abilities, but with some of them it didn't show which button the ability was tied to.

The part where you learn to control the worm was pretty cool, although it would've been nice if they made it clear you had to be in hugging range for the transcendance ability to work on them, t'was a bit silly spamming the 5 button as it didn't do anything from mid range.

Then there's the fight with the queen, which took some time to figure out the silly puzzle to kill them. T'was kind of sad how such a deciding battle pretty much served as a tutorial on how to use the new tenno power in combat, but i suppose they ran out of time.

And now i have to wait until the rewards from completing the quest are fixed, since that's also bugged for several people. >.>

Stun him with the first ability you learned to break the ice blockades, and then go into void form(same button as crouching to me) and dash into them while they are stunned, which removes their melee weapon and puts a weird brand on them. Then you can attack/one shot them with your warframe attacks

I genuinely loved the quest and can't wait to start upgrading my tenno (if you can even do that, haven't found if you can or not yet)

The lore aspect is excellent, the cinematics were gorgeous and scenic, the music was amazing, there was even some comedy (finally telling ordis to shut up)

The rewards are great, the new tileset was dark and fit the stealth play style I love so much to a tee, playing solo was super immersive

But as people have stated before, if it would of been a bit longer (the gameplay aspects not the cinematics, although would of loved even more cinematics too), then it would of been the best update to ever hit a game in history in my opinion (prolly still is the best imo but a lil longer would of rocked)

So basically thank you, thank you for this update and you guys at DE have proved again why this entire community loves you all =D

This. A MILLION times this. I've been saying this since the Tubemen of Regor update. I would much rather have a week ETA AFTER they've gotten a satisfactory build, then have them say "Alright, the build is ready. We'll drop it in a week after doing some bugfixing."

Nope

The fight was as short as the stalker reveal fight, the fight was mechanically linear and thus S#&$ty and boring.

The entire quest should have been a cut-scene. The Queen's fortress was crazy fun, managed to stealth it as a Rhino.

The mind games bugged out numerous times that required me to alt+f4 in order to restart and activate the script that allowed the quest to progress.

The mind games design was wholly trial and error, I ended up not using the stealth because the teleport was more efficient at closing distance.

The story, I guess I want to know more about the dad more than anything, he kinda reminds me of Mr.Robot in his mannerisms.

Second Dream was better. However I still don't hold second dream to be anywhere near the pinnacle of story telling, but it was definitely more palatable than The Walking Within.

This is basically GONE HOME the quest.

I would give it a 4/10 if it wasn't so buggy, but a 3/10 because it was. (Don't bring a sentinel with you.)
