It'd make them more money from myself and many others like me who originally bought Ember/Frost Prime but not their accessories.

 

There is literally no reason to buy a second copy of a Prime Frame just to get a scarf.

Perhaps those who bought Frost pack during the first unvaulting. Anyways, why does everyone think Misa Prime is gonna return, not anything else?

I imagine people who bought the Frost pack at his last unvaulting, despite already having Frost/Latron/Reaper, because they wanted the Misa and couldn't buy it separately.

No support on what? You don't need a Powerpoint presentation and a spreadsheet to know that most people don't throw a 100+ bucks on something they already have.

For 100 bucks I could get a like 2 Triple A games, why would I throw that kind of money to the ground to get 2 frames I already have and a bunch of pixels, I could get 2 new games that will be a time sink for my enjoyment then an attachment on my back...

Anyone that buys these packs if un separated is just horrible with money and in all honesty...a dumbass

And if those people don't own Pyra Prime? Now having the option to purchase that alone for cheaper?

Basically, the "what if" scenario is people who already purchased the full Ember Prime Access back in the day and Frost Prime Unvaulting being angry that something they bought almost 3 years ago and another thing they bought 1 year ago are now together in a cheaper package for other people. 

Sales happen, prices change and go down. 3 years is a long time, so is 1 year.

I am still fairly new to the game, been playing for around 2 months already, and even a newbie like me can tell that paying for something you already have just to get the additional, is not a good strategy. Now i missed both frost and ember prime access, so i will definitely buy them both, however, i like to have options when deciding how to spend my money.

Think about it this way: Newbies like me will want the full pack and are most likely to buy it. Veterans that only want the fashion however, will be hesitant to spend on those packs because they already have like 90% of the pack. Conclusion: You make more money by selling the full pack to newbies and people who missed the original release AND by selling only the fashion to people who already own the rest of the pack.

I own those syandanas and I'm not against separating prime accessories. Elitists can go get f-(can't say naughty words on a forum for an M Rated game for some reason)'d.

But seriously though, why not split it? Some people already own the frames and just want the cosmetics for fashion frame, there's nothing wrong with that.

It will be an insult to a lot of us if you do this, so please do not cater to the armchair financialists.

ITS COSMETIC, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY IT, it doesn't affect gameplay/mastery. I will buy this and will continue to support DE no matter what, they are one of the only remaining good game devs left in this industry.

 

I highly doubt there would be a lot of people will be mad if DE were to split the accessories into a separate pack as this is the first thread I've seen regarding this. Also yes the cosmetics provide no buffs or enhance gameplay for you but it may enhance people's experience in the game since atm one of the only kind of endgame is fashionframe. I'm all for them splitting the cosmetics into a pack as I would love to have them that said I'm not going to pay what $120 just to look good it's not worth it imo, with this said I know that a large amount of players would be willing to buy the cosmetics only and aren't interested in shilling out money for frames they already own. All in all I think it would be a smart move on DE's part as they would make more money to split them rather than keep them together.

This is one thing that I can't understand about this community, I`ve seen a lot of posts with the same mindset :|  Why would you be upset that something is discounted 1 or two years after you`ve bought it? Why should people that were not around at the time not have a chance to obtain these particular items?

Get off your high horse, people have to pay for the shiny either way, and it's an even bigger insult to require they buy extra copies of frames and weapons they already have.

The counter-argument is that no matter how you package it, if it costs less than what people paid for it initially, there will be pushback.  

And the counter-counter argument is supply and demand/early adopter premium, I suppose.

You're misunderstanding what's causing the upset.

At Frost's last unvaulting, the only way to buy the Misa syandana was to buy the whole Frost Prime vault pack including Frost Prime, Latron Prime and Reaper Prime. People bought that whole pack despite already owning Frost, Latron and Reaper Prime, just so they could get the Misa.

If it was just selling the same things as before, but cheaper, I doubt you'd see many complaints. But selling accessories separately now, when people felt 'forced' to buy the whole pack before despite already owning most of it, is what the objections are about.

I'm not really sure why I'm the one explaining their case, as I'm not in that position myself. I bought the Frost Prime Vault pack last time, but then I didn't have any of the prime items, so it was all valuable to me.

I was wondering why there is no Packs of this kind :

  • Prime set blueprint <<< so that it is tradeable and don't feel wasted. of course need to invest some resources to build it.
  • Orokin Catalyst + Reactor (Built)
  • Accessories that everyone craving about
  • Insert whatever junk items here

This kind of pack can be same price or maybe slightly higher as the current pack due to tradeable prime set items as tradeoff. win-win.

Sooooo...exactly what happened when Prime Access first started?

Iunno, as someone with the Misa Syandana from the Frost Prime unvaulting, this just sounds like needless complaining to me.  It's not like this'll make the items particularly more common either way.  Hell, I have the Targis, one of the more popular Prime Accessory items, and I rarely see it on anyone else.

No I'm not because I feel like Frost Prime is going to screw over how easy it would be to get Ember prime. I've been waiting for her to come out of the vault for over a year now and got frost last year when he was unvaulted. If he does end up screwing that up I will honestly not want to use Frost ever again.

Did Anybody believe that a separated Vaulted Prime access would be cheaper? You will still need to buy the extra platinum that comes with it (that's actually the case, all Prime access have their high price Only because of the plats in it, with extra for free to keep you cool)

How about make a pack of the same cost ($50) but rather than including stuff we have, include stuff we don't have. Maybe plat, or resource boosters, or... something else. I agree that it should not be cheaper than individual price, but $60 for just cosmetics is BS (with PA Accessories you get the credit/affinity boosters, which are quite nice and make the price bearable).
