IDK. I feel like DE has covered all ground based off of the weapon types. However, I would like to see a Polearm and Shield one day.

A flail would also be pretty neat.

Mini singularity as a Primary:

Normal shot is like a Javlok, but has ammo of 15 in mag, 150 total.. Punchthrough 2.5m and crit chance weapon, Puncture + Slash

2 : Deconstructs the weapon which uses up 50% of all ammo and reduces cap to 5/75, throws several mini Vauban like singularities with 12m range, which suck enemies+shots in. (passive radiation +magnetic dmg to enemies in)

I had this as idea since Vauban Prime came to WF, but eh- finally a home for the thought

Dual Tessen (an elegant weapon, sharp enough to cut enemies to rivets. A skilled user can use these to deflect projectiles from all directions)

Tiger&Dragon (Kogake/other sparring weapon+Nikana, an acrobatic combat style combining a flurry of fist and kicks with powerful katana slashes)

Chained Dual Blades (may be a stance that graphically adds an energy link to dual blades)

I'd like to see more outside the box thinking.  This is the distant future after all.  Give us more creative weaponry like simulor or zenistar which have no modern counterpart.

Or just give us more explosions, or maybe a gun that shoots more guns.

Kind of like the shotgun that shoots swords in Borderlands?

SWORDSPLOSION!!

Basically everything from the ol' Unreal 4 Ever Mod.

Weaponized propeller that has chainsaw, air blast and mobility functions.
Bubble gun that shrinks or inflates enemies.
Bow that has a variety of arrows to choose from, be it poison, explosive, singularity, what have you.
Missile launcher with missiles you can optionally steer from first person (mini UT Redeemer).
Assault rifle with a grenade launcher attachment.
Walking doll bomb.
Katana that allows you to turn invisible and teleport.
Spiderbombs.

... aaaahh such good times :D

Missile launcher with missiles you can optionally steer from first person (mini UT Redeemer). -> Ivara's Navigation
Assault rifle with a grenade launcher attachment. -> Too basic
Walking doll bomb. -> Since almost nobody likes the Castanas and Talons, I don't think it would be that good.
Katana that allows you to turn invisible and teleport. -> Nikana + Naramon. (We also already have enough if not too much invisibility in this game)
Spiderbombs. -> Basicaly the same thing as your "walking doll bomb"

You're basicaly proposing more exposives.

What about something "different"? Like new weapon types or something. I'm thinking about things like Katars, an Air gun (you know wind erosion? what about a gun that shoot air so fast that it deteriorates armor and flesh?), a Chainball/Flail, a Three-section staff, etc.

Like ThermalStone said, "think outside of the box"... 'cause if there are only explosives in your box, gtfo and run, it's clearly another of Mirage's vicious tricks!

A dual melee connected by a chain of sorts. Using secondary fire switches its mechanic between using it as normal dual swords or as a whip. Comes with a new stance that works on dual swords and whips. You can also use stances from dual swords and whips on the weapon, so depending on which of the two you have on it, it'll only work on that part of the weapon, while the other has it's basic attack.

Id personally like to see more primaries and secondaries with alt fires. The Harpak is a good idea but doesn't scale, the Stradavar is cool but again doesn't scale. I'd also love to see a few more semi auto rifles to compete with the latron. How about a spear melee with thrusting and broad sweeps? I would also think unarmed combat would be useful, you wouldn't be able to mod it but it would have basic takedown attacks for people without a melee equipped (the Tenno are master space ninjas but suck at punching stuff?)

Primaries:

Minelayers: Just like the penta this weapon launches shrapnel mines which detonates on contact/proximity. excellent choice for defense missions

Multishot gattlings: 3-6 shots simultenously, high damage, spool up system, long reload and decreased movement speed. A great choice for stationary missions.

Waveguns: Remember the old top-down spaceship games from your childhood? They always had somekind of wavegun capatable of hitting multiple enemies as the wave progressed. great for all mission types.

Nukes: Extreme damage, 100% self damage, large aoe (+15m), extremly slow reload and minimal ammo cap. This is the weapon you would keep for the worst enemies.

Fusion primers: This weapon deals no inniate damage, instead it slowly primes up an enemy. When the enemy is primed up another shot from this weapon initiates molecular meltdown in them dealing 100% of their health as damage in a small aoe.

For primary, a heavy machinegun.

I don't know which category this would fit, but an automatic secondary on one hand and a katana on the other, something like this image:

maxresdefault.jpg

That looks cool.

Some more ideas:

Secondary:

Smokebombs: two firemode, one creates a smoke cloud and adds temporal invisibility while the other creates a lethal fog of poisonus gas.

Nanoswarm: this weapon creates a swarm of nanobots around the user. when used it launches a small swarm what slowly eats up enemies and while using any other weapon the swarm acts as a passive shield granting X% damage resistance.

Inner void: this weapon was found near a void gate, only the Tenno is able to use them. Upon use the weapon creates a beam of void energy with periodic waves around it capatable of disintegrating entire hordes. Dual damage, slash type waves and electric beam. The altfire saps the users energy for additional damage.

Melee weapons:

Focus gauntlet: Using this weapon with the traditional sparring stances makes it into a deadly close quater weapon, but if one uses it with the Focus stance this weapon became capatable of striking foes far away. (imagine a sith using the force to beat up grunts from afar)

Dual shields: grants additional armor when used, onr of the shields is throwable while the other is capatable to bash in the skulls of the enemy.

Well the Archwing machineguns like Imperator are allready heavy machineguns. Which also displays the problem with putting them into the regular combat, since they would be too bulky and large to look good on a Warframe when they jump and run around like normal.

So the only way they could find their way into regular combat would involve them slowing down the Warframe to a walk and small hops in order to still look good.
