  1. Also dont forget that what we call EMP in our recent/current time might not at all have any effect on a Warframe that is powered by the void. We should also remember that the frame can become immune to those effects fully by simply using the right armaments, armaments that are interchangable based on need for the task at hand. So it would be easy for say a warframe to use the weapons against the enemy. Just imagine how it would wreck a whole region by literally walking into the core of a nuclear powerplant and just shutting it down forcefully, leading to powerless chaos aswell as a high risk that the whole area and several others will be irradiated if things go really bad. Or bait the enemy to use an EMP in a key location just to "kill" it, a bait that can be done either by staying using the right armanent, sacrificing a specter or just pulling a Scotty with the omnitool at the last second. But in reality, the only thing the tenno would need to do in order to win without any trouble is grab Revenant and go to town. Not much any weapon or army could do to stop it. It can sow discord among enemies, is nearly immune to damage, can kill you by simply moving over you and it can take out full armies with weaponry that adapts to whatever defense it faces. Plus, since we rely so much on tech these days and a computer is in practically anything, Rev would very likely be able to enthrall things like tanks too since he can enthrall the sentient and infested, that are mechanicals or made up of nano-tech.
  2. That kinda also fits her #1, where Nova is the star. She also has similarities to that real life bird that impales their prey, not only as a regular hunting method, but due to pure intended violence iirc.
  3. Partly, but we do also eat things that are considered next gen weaponry in this day and age, like railgun rounds from things like the lanka, aswell as direct explosive hits from rockets and explosive rounds. And as to tank rounds, we already eat those from Thumpers and we eat air to ground cannon rounds from both grineer and corpus ships. And old Jackal used to try and inpregnate us with full rocket salvos. However there are things that would cripple frames. Magnets, small rocks and even sand grains if we sit on a "horse", doorframes (the most unstoppable frame of all), doors in general, water with magnets in it,
  4. Sure it does if you can grasp context. As mentioned later, Valheim regarding graphics. The speed of progress also isnt bottlenecked by phones, it is again bottlenecked by NSW aswell as old gen PC and last gen consoles. Phones, like PC, are several times easier to phase out in order to allow progression because new phones are released on a yearly basis while consoles have years and years upon their neck once a new one pops up. If this was a game just between PC and phones along with a far narrower compatability range regarding hardware/software the phone would be a bottleneck, but that fully depends on how narrow that mentioned range would be. As it is with WF, consoles will always be the part that slows down progression, especially now with cross-play being a thing and unified releases being a must for it to work. What trend? And again you post a brand new game with quite high system requirements in order to allow those graphics, not to mention that alot of the lower end that warframe caters to is gone. So yes the theory is tried and true, since WF does look amazing for a game that allows such a wide range of players to play it. That is before we consider the parts in WF that makes it harder to become purdiest of the purdie i.e things like massive mob density and effects, multiplayer (again something that is void in girly hunter game) and so on. Also worth noting, DE have decided to make a game that doesnt take up 100-ish gigs on a HD/SSD, it requires a quarter or a third of that. And that is with thousands of hours worth of content to boot. I'll take all of that over the latest graphics any day of the week.
  5. I think the operator can do what he does due to the void power, just like how the frames can manifest solid objects out of nothing (no Gara and Atlas do not carry around massive carts filled with sand, pre-made crystal windows or 10-ton rocks and boulders), Which would also explain how the operator can manifest himself with a working void amp. I guess the operator is a living breathing Star Trek transporter that doubles as a holographic imaging device or something, all powered by the void within. I wonder if that would be considered astral or cosmic projection.
  6. But Rev was never intended to be a sentient warframe, he was intended to be eidolon themed, Which in essence he is since he in altered in the same way compared to normal frames as eidolons are in comparison to normal sentients. As to Chroma, that isnt a very odd name for a dragon themed frames, especially not when he can also alter his elements by changing color. Chroma is actually a pretty good name for a dragon frame to begin with, since there is a pretty well know type of dragon refered to as chromatic dragons within fantasy. And when you have the alteration of color swapping tied to elements it becomes even more fitting. As to Nova and Zephyr. Nova just seems like a regular sci-fi callsign and she feels very "space themed" overall with little spheres and things that go boom at a molecular level. Zephyr is probably one of the absolutely best named frames with the most true theme that is followed to the letter, she is wind based and there is so way to take her for anything but that, and her name reflects that 100%. Even that her winds interacts with what you shoot at them is just amazing design to bring the theme up a further notch. You are stuck in "modern" lore though since zombie is quite young in the sense of restless dead with those traits. Zombies are practically stipped down revenants of folklore, while in specific folklore many of them are closer to what "modern" vampires are. Be it the draugr, kobold, myling ghast, poltergeist or wight, they all share several of the traits with the modern vamp. They just dont go and sex it up and suck on peoples neck, neither did the old vampires, they practically butchered and ate people overall. There are also cultures out there where the line between what we consider were-creatures and vampires does not exsist, where they are practically the same thing.
  7. Gara has a similar issue with Splinter Storm, all of a sudden your glass wall wont refresh it in Circuit, which is really annoying if you have hundreds of thousands of damage stacked (you usually wont reach more before the bug kicks in) on it, since it together with breach surge in there is really fun. And the hilarious part of the issue is that while the wall wont refresh the duration on splinter storm, shattering the wall will still add more damage to it.
  8. I hope their 5 year plan includes fleshing out current content, so we get more Duviri, Railjack, Liches (infested), Mech content ,more things to the other open worlds and so on along with new takes on old game modes, like more intricate versions of defense, more similar to Armageddon than Mirror Defense if you get my point.
  9. I wouldnt mind playable Stalker in the rest of the game, I can just see the potential he has with access to Helminth, personal modding and weapons of our choice all the time. He is atm a better Ash with all augments included where needed, he also comes with a better Marked for Death version plus a cool ultimate. I wouldnt mind replacing his Fatal Teleport for an armor strip while investing in massive range aswell to get some fun Marked combos going.
  10. For me Duviri is one of the more fun updates. I really like that it doesnt require a rep grind, mining and so on. Plus the randomized gear makes me use things I otherwise wouldnt and I enjoy using those things in the game modes Duviri offers. The only downside of the mode for me is Defense, it is still boring and slow, and the maps in the undercroft does not improve it, quite the opposite. Would have been cool if they tied in our operator down there, so it was the objective and it followed us similar to arbitration objectives. It would have worked well since the undercroft is the place between two worlds. Plus Drifter combat grows on me. Different weapons clearly benefit from different playstyle approaches, it is pretty much only the 2h Nikana I cannot get into at all. But after having written off the polearm as horrible it is now one of my favorite Drifter weapons and really strong. The endo and credits arent too much of an issue but it would be nice to have them replaced with more arcanes. But out of 12 extra ranks in there this week and 9 last week I've gotten credits a total of 2 times, then the week prior to that I got endo once. What the SP mode needs is some way to get essence outside of the single time it is rewarded in the first 10 tiers. 2 Essence per round completed should be the norm to bring it inline with acolytes in normal SP.
  11. Yep just look at what we can do in the highest possible proximas with a fully pimped out RJ. We can just sit there in swarms of enemies and practically never get critical or much less destroyed due to the highly advanced shield systems and insane amounts of armor and hull structure. So just being able to get into the atmosphere and then sit there would be enough. We'd likely end up seeing something as in some Sci-Fi movies where the governments *cough*merica*cough* decide to nuke the alien ship only to see it sit there untouched when the smoke clears. And that is if the RJ would just sit there visible and not just scorch everything around it as it slowly moves across the landscape shrouded in a void cloak. I also thought a bit about Atlas and his story. The tenno should according to that story be able to use Atlas as a tactical precision weapon dropped from orbit, much like how Cobra drops tungsten rods from space in G.I Joe 2 in order to destroy cities. Horrible movie, cool concept though.
  12. I have no idea why people think incarnon mode should be the same as the base mode since it is practically not a thing on a single incarnon weapon out there aside from melee. They all change into a different mechanic of some sort, from semi-auto to full-auto mini explosions, or semi-auto to full-auto massive magazine with punch through, full-auto pellet shotgun to semi-auto plasmor etc. So Torid and Atomos and all other genesis weapons follow the pattern by changing the mechanics. And like with Felarx you are free to stay in the base form for a benefit if you like with the Atomos or Torid. The only part is that Atomos incarnon mode feels lackluster. Also acting as if the bugged perk is intended when people suggest you stick to base form on Atomos is hilarious! Cos clearly they released a weapon with an intendedly broken perk as a feature that will never actually get fixed right?
  13. No heh it doesnt. Just because you as in the singular you want something specific doesnt mean the devs of the game have the same idea or need/want. So if what the devs want are achievable within the scope of the option they have access to, then there is no impact since it is done by intent already. In the case of Warframe and DE, they want it accessible for a wide audience, so that is their design intent and only the most fringe machines will get phased out so they can keep up while still supporting a side range of hardware and software for years. Like I've said before. Just look at Valheim, it doesnt have any over the top graphics and it is immensly popular, it caters to what the devs wanted to achieve and what the playerbase wishes to experience. Do you sit over on their forums and complain how it doesnt look like Burning Shores or Elden Ring, or how it uses the came combat as Elden Ring? Which funnily enough would be more valid in a discussion about Valheim combat since it is more similar to Elden Ring and Souls game in general than Duviri or Soulframe is, since Valheim is actually punishing as hell if you fail blocks and dodges of your progress "level" and it also relies on stamina aswell as consumables etc. when it comes to combat "skills". edit: And as a sidenote. Warframe looks amazing for a game that manages to cater to such a wide audience and variety of machines. edit: I mean, you are sounding like some Black Metal twat that needs everything to sound like Mayhem or that #*!%ing poser Burzum.
  14. Wow! I have actually never thought of that. That is an extremely good point regarding why we likely arent there in true physical form. That is the landing craft, not the orbiter.
  15. There is proof in that though, as of the latest patch and patches prior to it that constantly phase out or prepare to phase out old tech. All in order to stay at a floor level they want which doesnt impact development while still manages to retain and attract players and revenue. And yes lol, phones can use KB/M. There are these mysterious things called apps, then there are these other mysterious things called USB-adapters that come in all different shapes and forms that through magic enables a phone to use KB/M. That is if you dont want to use bluetooth hardware, or hardware that works with Apples own bluetooth thing. Serious question, are you living under a rock? Also that you compare Burning whatevers performance to Duviri is disingenuous since Burning doesnt have to deal with issues that are rooted in multiplayer games. Single player games are much more forgiving since they arent prone to half or more of the bugs that come by just being an online game.
  16. Agreed Sow could use some serious tweaks. I'm not really sure why it even has fall off, it doesnt really deal much damage on its own. It is also a very unimpactful skill, where you kinda go "did it do anything?" at certain times. And agreed, fall off is a valid balance mechanic for abilities that might have more than one type of use or synergy with the rest of the kit. Oh and regarding synergy. Am I the only one that gets serious OCD issues with Mesa and her massively different durations on non-recastable-while-active skills?
  17. Could be that the game didnt fully update the info then before porting you into the cave. I've had a few encounters with the pulled weapons that have claimed I own them even though I do not, I've also had unowned items switch from owned to unowned or the opposite while I'm in the cave checking their different defualt loadouts. So I wouldnt be surprised if the system has some serious bugs tied to pulls and the whole owned/unowned thing for non-variant items.
  18. Both are likely based on fall off due to syneriges instead of just capping their range, since capping range would effect other parts of their kits aswell negatively. In Enox case it would also negatively impact the skill itself since you'd have a smaller field allowing you to build up the damage for the final nuke.
  19. But that was you reading it that way, just as you've done with others here, yet no one implies that. Also could you please explain why you think Rev should have eidolon abilities when eidolons do not? It would really help in order to see your reasoning. Because as it is eidolons have sentient abilities, so Rev having his warframe abilities aswell makes perfect sense. Both of the two are mostly changed on a visual level. Actually Warden was never an official "callsign", that is a name that the inhabitants of earth refered to him as. A group of people with no actual knowledge about warframes overall. And you know what the funny part is, Warden is a perfectly fine name for something with connections to vampires, because Warden is also something Vlad was called by "his" people. And why would a frame want to exploit anything? You are now at a point where the vampiric aspects would be directly tied to the operator, which is the actual mind behind the frames. Frames are only designed around a concept, a purpose they can fill on the battlefield, they arent the actual thing they are themed around. Revenant is simply designed around the vampiric theme in the sense that he can enslave enemies, use them to repair himself and turn into an ethereal or less dense form. He isnt an actual vampire, just as Loki isnt Loki, Loki just seems to have had a massive Orokin Marvel geek creating him considering which "Loki" powers he has.
  20. I'm just curious, which frames have fall off on their AoE damage atm? And in addition to that, do those skill have any other perks that you may want at an extended range aside from the damage, perks that arent diminished from range beyond a certain point. If so it could be a nerf to restrict the range only to get rid of potential fall off on damage.
  21. For me the answer is very simple if you look at what Pablo have said in the past. DE are fine with releasing new AoE options aslong as they dont become a new dominant pick that overshadows everything else. And to counter AoE usage they rather implement new game modes instead of making sweeping changes to the core content that many people enjoy. That new content has less incentive to use AoE, or limitations that make it harder to utilize. This goes hand in hand with what Pablo said a few years back regarding revamping old game modes. It is not something they want to do, since people enjoy those modes, so if a change is to be made to a current mode, they rather create a new and similar one. That way those that enjoy the old can still play the old and those that want a change up has the new activity. Duviri, atleast The Duviri Experience is a good example of how they've handles AoE as meta. You now have a mode with RNG pulls that also can make use of both AoE and single target during the mission in order to make it as smooth as possible. Which opens up choices that actually matter more before you start the mission. If you get into the dilemma of having to pick between 1 good AoE weapon or 1 good single target gun you need to decide which you prefer most. Will you focus on potentially clearing the undercroft stages as smooth as possible with an AoE weapon or do you rather have a quick kill on the Orowyrm? Granted the further we get in progress the less it matters since operators exsist for undercroft clearing. However, the system is far better and gives more incentives than any other place in the game where AoE solves all pretty much, or you can just carry a gun for each task without giving it any thought. Eh. Pablo and Reb have been part of WF since the early beginning of it all, they arent exactly new. And the AoE meta wasnt really a thing for more than a year before the adjustments to ammo economy landed to "balance" it, since it didnt really become a meta until Galv mods and arcanes were introduced, prior to that melee reigned supreme. Self-damage removal simply saw an increase in the use of AoE, but it never turned meta during that time. We had a brief period where Bramma was meta because it was severely overtuned and people ran around macro spamming it as some new maiming strike.
  22. That doesnt make NSW less of a console. Which was your claim consoles > phones. Which clearly isnt the case. 1. True when they are made for smartphones as the main platform. Not the case for WF smarthphones are a 4th port in addition to the main platform which is PC. It would also only be an issue if smartphones in this case was the floor, they arent since we have both several generation old PCs and consoles such as NSW. So what you say doesnt apply. And with Soulframe there is no indication it will even be available on smartphones. 2. Ah so you work for DE and Tencent? You're aware that the smartphone port for WF was in development well before Tencent even bought Leyou right? Plus, it is Tencent owning Leyou and DE, it is not Tencent Games. Like I told you before regarding something else, Tencent is a holding company, they are not a publisher etc. They are simply there, with too many cookie jars they have their fingers in to bother with the internal dealings of every company they own. Which is why they buy successful companies with stable IPs so they dont have to worry about getting specialists in to view the market, since the companies they buy do that on their own since they are already established. 3. And it is highly unlikely that anything will be constrained to cellphones given how DE i.e Steve and others, like their freedom in design. I mean like I said, they are already phasing out old hardware and software since it has too many limitations. So just the idea of them focusing fully on pleasing mobile gaming is far fetched thought. Not even Blizzard did it, since they only really published Immortal, because they just like DE had no actual experience in developing mobile games, while on the other hand NetEase did. And since NSW has shown that it hasnt held back WF, it is silly to think something else will. What did hold back WF is when they decided to add crossplay due to certification processes, which like I said involves you as a console player as part of that problem. Is it really that hard to answer the question asked? I mean it should be fairly simply to answer the reason for your own opinion dont you think?
  23. Mostly due to you getting the dagger you owned but which was unmodded. Which simply made me ask since people have sold off things to avoid them as "owned" pulls, but if unmodded items roll as unowned then it would be better to just remove all mods from items you dont wanna see in the owned pool.
  24. How is it ridiculous? If it is as Steve says tied to a mechanic in the game it makes sense. I even think I can imagine what that mechanic will be, which is us playing our character and collecting souls instead of Warframes. So our character is the framework that houses the different souls based on our need for the task at hand. Thus Soulframe. Nothing wrong having a name that is familiar and tied to the developer/company. And if you have no such opinion, why the analogy with Game of Crowns "with no murders"? Apparently you try to convey that a large part is rooted in the name, not just that the name is ridiculous at that point. Since there is no point in adding the specific "no murders" to the analogy if it is simply about a ridiculous name. Which I dont see how Game of Crowns would be either, not any less ridiculous than Game of Thrones was when the option was there to stick with the name A Song of Fire and Ice. Personal note: I was put off by GoT for quite a while because I expected a very cheesy low quality show with that name.
  25. Clearly not fact since well NSW is a console and was a bottleneck when it was released. And the same comparison can be done on PC if you decide to showcase a single game versus a random assortment of games of different types on another platform. So no, not case closed. There are just as many rubbish games on a phone as there is on PC, that doesnt mean there arent good looking PC games. My point is not that however, it is that phones will not hold back development aslong as last generation (several times over) PCs and last gen consoles and "lite" versions like NSW are part of the game. Since if they can design to cater to those old generation, they are able to design for modern phones, which is the generations they aim for. Oh I do and the floor is already there in the NSW and has been for years, and it has had no actual impact on the progress of the game. Hence why we've had massive graphical overhauls after NSW became a port. You simply fail to realize that the low mark is already there in the NSW, so phones wont change that part. That aswell as not needing a cert period for updates means phones are less intrusive to development than any of the consoles are in a cross platform environment. And you as a console player is certainly not the one to talk about reduction in quality introduced by phones since you are part of the cause why we on PC have to wait for updates nowdays in the firstplace. So take your pleb opinions elsewhere. It's not comedy, I'd just trying to get into your mindset.
