  1. No not really, it doesnt automatically make more better, because the same drawbacks of having too much are the same. Whos graphics? What are you even talking about here? Asked why you think dropping an engine name matters. You're aware of the term "dropping names" right? Or is that another "new" term you arent familiar with? Is it possible to give a more generic and clueless answer to that question? Everything has to do with "frame rate among other things", no matter if it is sound, graphics or something as simple as a basic UI. No one said we have it all in Duviri, I said "more so now with Duviri" since Duviri brought exactly what you asked for, puzzles and exploration that are tied to rewards, full sets at that. Also, what you demand here is also part of the game already and has been since Voruna released, where higher difficulty did improve rewards. We actually also already had it before that with disruptions, content that tests your builds more than regular missions while also allows you to focus on specific relics. Not to mention that ESO followed the same principle, higher difficulty than normal with specific items tied to it along with pre-radiated relics. And Duviri follows that with SP being a far better way to farm the Wyrm, giving you a 50% more Pathos per run. As to bosses, well we have them in SP even though they are 1-hit-wonders for most players due to our insane power progression. But then again people struggle with Eximus units, so the acolytes surely fit the boss bill for some.
  2. You are aware that what you say doesnt make sense since any video posted on YouTube is worldwide and not limited to platform restrictions right? Steam is available for everyone to check. Sales =/= active players. WF has 60 million+ installs, and that was years ago. Not to mention that for a game like SM, you can only profit on it once per player, while with a live service game like WF each player can spend on it multiple times. And since the free approach attracts more players, each player needs to spend less in order for the company to make a healthy return. You also need to consider the ridiculous differences in development money that has gone into the games in question. I dont get the obsession people have with top 10 either, especially not in between releases. It's as if they dont understand how this type of game works. Wonder if they treat single player games the same, when they go from something like top 20 on release to spot 500 a few weeks later because people are simply finished with them. In their minds does the game go from good to bad at that point?
  3. Nope. I've watched the SM trailer, I dont use PS. So your claim is as false as it can get. No really it isnt. There are several millions of active players playing WF on a daily basis throughout the platforms. On steam alone it is in the top 20, right now #13, out of thousands upon thousands of games. And most competition on Steam comes from PvP games.
  4. Yes I have. Not that it has anything to do with this. UE 5 does not change the relation between polycount and graphics. No idea why you think dropping an engine name matters. It kinda just shows you are further out of touch than expected. Do you even know what the polycount does? So you mean exactly what we have in the game and more so now in Duviri? Aside from hordes of bosses that is.
  5. New term lol. Except that is how it works. If you have a too high polycount the items will get destorted, which is why balance is important. Pretty much how too much sharpness in a picture works, though that is a very simple example. Also, to make you understand better. "Too high" =/= "High". Again it is about balance, just as you can have a too small polycount you can have a too high. Good development shows when the polycount is enough to achieve a certain quality of an item, a quality that can also be achieved with a higher polycount as a shortcut. However with the higher polycount version you also have a less effecient item for not real reason at all.
  6. Tencent have been involved for about a year. Not false since ta-da! Official channel 4.2 million views. And that is just an "expansion" for a 10 year old game. Again Fel, if you are gonna throw numbers around, look in more than one place if though you seem to be a very simple/narrow -minded person. Just as with the revenue numbers in that other thread, you again repeat your exact behavior. I mean, how hard is it to do a "warframe trailer" search on YouTube mate? Seriously, how hard is it?
  7. There is a massive difference in the shards. People are just blindly looking at improving already high stats instead of actually using them for what they allow, which is improving lower stats or allowing you to replace other items in your loadout. +Armor shards on weaker frames easily brings them up to tanky levels that can also handle incoming damage in SP quite well. It also allows you to replace guardian on some frames where you might have used it. +Energy from orbs can effectively replace Energize since the shards have no CD, will not pointlessly overcap you on energy at the wrong point and so on. +Strength allows you to hit softcaps without wasting mod slots. +Duration allows frames like Nova to hit the DR cap easily on her #1. Or allowing a frame like Protea to get to the next sweet spot for her turrets. +Cast Speed allows you to replace Natural Talent. +Secondary crit is wonderful on Mesa and Tits.
  8. And? You are comparing the poster child of an extremely hyped franchise vs a 1-off IP like WF. Not only that, it is also a game backed by Sony to publish and hype it. Just the Duviri trailer had 4.2 million views in comparison. Throw away what rewards? You're aware WF have won plenty and been the steam top seller among free to play games several years, including during their worst year which was 2019. Not to mention that "blockbuster" AAA games and F2P games are rarely eligible for the same rewards. We've already been over the numbers in another thread where you got proven wrong regarding another company (From Software). Where you ignored the WF info provided on the site you linked while using the same site for the other game since it was in favor of your agenda. While also linking an outdated site for WF to further advance your agenda. A thread where you also admited that you could have looked a bit more in the end. And to get Insomniac revenue stats all it takes is a google search and it should be the top few results really. And since we are now in 2023, the 2022 revenue stats are the most current. https://www.zippia.com/insomniac-games-careers-214417/revenue/
  9. Aye but the player character isnt. HZD is more like Outriders in that sense. Quite slow character, overall slow enemies but with some fast ones thrown in to screw you up. In WF everything moves at lightning speeds while we kill hundreds of enemies per minute. Now if endless wasnt part of WF gameplay it would be different since it would be easier to match density vs performance vs graphics (not that WF looks bad at all). But since endless is part of it, they need to consider that density at all times with those amounts of effects, light sources, shadows, A.I calculations and so on. Some games cut corners in looters, removing loot drops from enemies throughout a mission and instead shoving it all in completion rewards at the end. Less clutter, less on the fly calculations etc.
  10. Did you get the PT function on the incarnon form though, or is it simply disabled as it is for some guns already with their alt fire? I havent tested Braton enough myself since like I said the speed just kills the gun for me anyways.
  11. Personally Burston without a doubt, It and Torid are my two go to primaries atm with Laetum as my secondary. The RoF along with not getting penalized for using PT just brings too much QoL for Burston over Braton. Braton for me is simply too slow.
  12. Burston has innate punch through from the incarnon perk that doesnt eat the AoE, it also has 600 ammo and a fire rate of 20. And as far as I've been able to tell, each body directly hit by the traveling bullet will produce an explosion, similar to how Amprex/Knukor/Tcycron works with PT. The gun stacks heat and slash quickly with munitions slotted. Braton has 200 ammo and a fire rate of 5.67 and cannot mod for PT unless DE have recently changed something with the interaction between explosions and modded PT. The difference for Braton is that it comes with innate slash on the direct hit and has a 3m AoE instead of 2m, and more forgiving fall off.
  13. It uhm already reached that popularity a couple of years ago, and has surpassed it. Same score? No but is that somehow needed in order to be good? As to "fraction of income". Well considering that WF is free it would be kinda impossible to make earnings on sales of the game compared to a full priced console game, games that have been horribly overpirced for years. So we can look at revenue instead for the company. DE has an avarage revenue of 100 million per year while Insomniac peaked at 17.5 million revenue in 2022.
  14. I dont think buffing the base form would help except in a few cases, where the current buffs from the incarnon perks are already enough, like on Atomos that is practically Knukor 2.0 with all perks unlocked. But for guns like Furis, Braton, Burston, Lex, Lato and so on there is nothing a buff to the base form could do to make them useful, they'd just be the same old weapons with potentially more damage. DE likely went with genesis due to one thing, not adding more weapons to the trash pile, and instead move weapons out of it. DE could have added brand new incarnon weapons that did the same as the genesis weapons, but it would just add more weapons to the game and more weapons to the trash pile. Now with genesis they take weapons out of that pile and put something else in there. But it is sooooo good! Honestly never thought I would enjoy Burston, a gun I practically havent touched since I leveled it to 30 back in uhm 2017 or something. I mean I hated it so much so I still recall exactly which map I leveled it on, which oddly enough wasnt Hydron.
  15. It is a quite well known term when you want to talk about limitations of generations. Doesnt matter if you are an actual dev or just interested in design. LoD has nothing to do with polycount alone though, and more polycount does not guaranteed a better level of detail for the game. Heck, too high and it will result in the rendered item looks distorted instead. Animations, illumination and physics come into effect regarding things mentioned, like amount of spell effects on the screen, enemy numbers, shadows that need to be rendered, parts that need to move and so on. Which should be uhm quite obvious dont you think? HZD doesnt have destructibles on the level of WF when things are going on. In WF we can face 50-ish enemies on the screen, all with different death animations and mechanics tied to our damage type, ontop of that the A.I actions are calculated, loot is rolled for and new enemies need to spawn. In that process we might destroy an absurd amount of destructable asset aswell in a wide area as we go to town nuking, all of which also needs to roll for loot aswell a animate their destruction state. That is before we account for all bullets that fly and spell effects that are in use by the enemy. Including buffs that apply to allies, that can result in all mobs you face having their mechanics and calculations altered on the fly. Not to mention that all of this needs to run smoothly in a very high paced game, something we cannot really say HZD is.
  16. Technically no it really doesnt. It is an online co-op action rpg, it has nothing in it to bring it into the MMO category. It doesnt have a persistent world, it doesnt have a server structure, it doesnt allow sporadic player to player interactions etc. All things that seperate MMOs from regular online games. Even if DE were to introduce dedicated servers it still wouldnt fall into the MMO category since everything is still instance based and finite, it wouldnt even fall into the shared world category which lies just outside of MMOs. That is your opinion and you have every right to have it. I just dont see a problem with introducing some time gated content, certainly not the way Duviri is done. Veilbreaker however is imo poorly done regarding shards, since there is no point to gating all of it. Normal shards could have been a do it at your own pace grind, with Tau being a weekly thing, preferably with some catch up mechanic so new players can... catch up. No but raids were periodic missions, and there are people asking for it back in that shape. I personally dont want any form of forced co-op in a game with a foundation made of peer-to-peer, and no one will change my mind on that. I'm saying some gated content isnt bad, it can even be good. While it sucks with NW it doesnt impact the gameplay in any real way, since none of the things are mandatory additions to progression, they are all optional. Yeah it must feel bad for someone really wanting to use Convectrix. But it also isnt a thing that holds a player back. I also find it odd the way people wrangle the whole incarnon thing. Everyone that paints it in a bad light make it sound like there have been no competition for the "poor" weapons that are now shoved away by bad evil incarnon for old weapons. Synapse for instance isnt pushed away by Torid, Synapse was pushed away by Knukor, Tcycron and Primary Sporelacer. And Kitguns arent suddenly pushed away by Lex, because AoE guns already pushed away Kitguns, or in this case Catchmoon, a gun that got replaced ages and ages ago, and if not that far back for some, it got pushed out by Knukor and Tcycron there aswell, and later on by Laetum. If people want to actually argue something, please stop exaggerating the situation into something it is not. There is also nothing wrong with adding actual "endgame" items that end up replacing gear obtained much much earlier. It is good to get something new to chase and use, more so when it revitalizes something so old and unused. Adding new weapons to grind with the same mechanics that lex and torid now provides wouldnt change anything, nor would giving lex and torid some gimmick mechanics that no one would really use them for. Adding new weapons would just mean adding more to the pile. Adding genesis for old weapons moves them out of the unused pile and into circulation, which is better than clogging up the game with more unused items overall. Same feelings here. Dread and Despair this upcoming week, then I'm gonna grab a few other ranged weapons I missed due to order of priority, aswell as Ack and Brunt atleast out of the melee. After that I'll just grab the missing adapters just so I'll have them. What they should have done with arcanes since we dont have a real standing shop is allow us to buy 1 arcane of our choice per day instead of having to rely on RNG there aswell. That would mean 21 days and 21 normal orowyrm kills would have given us 1 full arcane, 21 days and far less kills if you do SP.
  17. Yep my Detron (Mara) really made me want to poke my eyes out with a pencil. And regarding Pyrana Prime, I might have actually picked the wrong loadout that time since I think my multi damage PT stomper build is my config A. And I've only used it once in Duviri since there was nothing else available that time that could even touch the wyrm, since it was all low ranged beam weapons. Gonna keep my eyes on it better next time if I get Pyrana. Felarx normal form also did piss poor damage when I had that, with the same build I use to insta kill Archons.
  18. And there is a massive step between having weekly gates/content and selling all rare power directly for cash with a RNG system. Weekly activities have been part of online gaming since MMOs became a thing. We currently have 2 weekly activities Kahl/Archons and Duviri genesis/arcane farming. Which is really not much unlike weekly limited raids in MMOs. Besides us actually getting something each time we do the content here, as opposed to raids where you are at the mercy of RNG and DKP rules for the most part. And with the Duviri additions coming we'll be able to farm the arcanes in another way aswell. Which will allow us to both work towards daily purchases and RNG drops at the same time, at our own pace. Plus with people having begged for weekly content such as raids to come back I really cannot wrap my head around the same people complaining about other weekly content getting released. The bonus is that this content can also be soloed, which fits the game and its limitations much better than shoddy raids.
  19. Titania is the number 1 pick if you want a fast Orowyrm fight, and either slap roar, eclipse, nourish or xata's whisper on her instead of lantern. It's brrrrr dead wyrm no matter if SP or normal. She can also ignore the horse phase of the SP version and hunt down the small wyrms in razorwing mode. Other than that any frame with a good offensive buff, either naturally or through helminth works, but at that point you also need decent weapons. And oddly enough pellet weapons do not seem to work well at all. Somehow the wyrm damage reduction actually reduces pellet weapons severely. My Pyrana Prime for instance hits like a wet noodle while my Opticor Vandal, Vectis P and Rubico P 1HK the weakpoints.
  20. Not sure, never probably. Breaks or semi-breaks, sure, but there is nearly always a reason to log on or come back and we arent bound by new entry fees or constant costs to try something new or get back to playing. I'll probably stop when the world ends in some apocalypse, be it a fiery inferno or zombies. At that point I'll just go outside to do the hack n' slash and looting. But if that doesnt happen I guess I'll quit the day I kick the bucket.
  21. No they arent, since they give us no actual ground of knowledge. The only thing we know is how things work when we have access to the void as represented in the game and what happens when the heart doesnt work. So the only scenario in order to move forward is if we have all that with us. Otherwise as I said there is no scenario, because at that point we make stuff up regarding how frames and tenno work. Which the OP covered, the tenno have access to everything, a fully stocked orbiter. So we have everything built before we depart. So no upkeep needed. We might eventually run out if they get destroyed, but they are as durable as a frame on their own. Warframes always recharge because you always start missions with a set amount of energy per frame and capacity to spare. With prep they start with full energy. Fuel can mean anything, in this case the intake can simply be how the void from the drive is diverted elsewhere throughout the ship, to the engines etc. Because we know all railjacks were powered by a void drive, while we have had it improved to a reliquairy drive using the direct part of a potential void entity. We are afterall talking about something that was created thousands of years into the future by an extremely advanced civilization i.e the Orokin. A civilization that can terraform planets, have access to limited time alteration, can access a 4th dimension among other things. Still not an actual tactic. It would take time before earth even realized what the threat was in such a case. And it isnt like earth has tech to actually hide their sensors, since the tenno still have access to scanners and passive radar capabilities. Things that can see enemies and objects through walls, and provides the tenno all information about the target aswell once scanned. And you mentioned magnets, what type of magnets? They'd have to use EMPs, which would screw up themselves aswell since we dont exactly have access to pinpoint small sized EMPs these days. Or are we gonna make things up regarding what earth has access to? Also, what would gas do? Gas =/= Toxin. While we can have toxic gas, that isnt the same as it being toxic in the sense of toxin damage within gameplay. Of course fully stocked doesnt mean infinite anything. It just means we have everything to use when we get there. All frames, all weapons, a good amount of gear, mechs, archwings and so on. If things go really really bad we'll eventually run out of things like specters etc. But there must be a reason to run out. And it isnt like say we send a specter to area X and it gets destroyed and we just send another until we are empty. According to the quest it is a specter of the actual Protea. And yes junction guards and protea attack us since that is their mission, to not let anyone in, we are tresspassers. They dont do it because of some random need to attack everything, they do it because it is their order. A specter spawned by the tenno would be spawned for the task we command them. So if we were to place a Citrine specter in say a hospital we'd order it to be there to heal the injured, that would be their order. Trinity, cure the sick. Or a Protea placed with armed forces, support them and lay down heavy fire on the enemy, potentially with a side directive for following the highest ranking officer aslong as no tenno gives another order. Because again, in the real world there wouldnt be gameplay limitations like "hold position" or "follow". Of course fully stocked it doesnt mean that. But we arent talking every personnel either. We are talking about a limited crew living with us along with a normal WF arsenal at our disposal, which includes different forms of specters, mechs, omnitool, archguns, archwing, "strike" charges and so on. The problem is more that you seem to be of some mindset that as soon as something is used it is magically destroyed by some counter. And also that earth knows everything about what they possibly cant know. Not even the grineer or corpus know what we actually are, or how to counter us properly. And they've dealt with the tenno far more than earth, with people dating back to the orokin empire aswell and still lack vital knowledge. The queens were nearly there and still failed after more or less luring us into a trap, which also happens before we have the full potential of our powers unlocked. And Stalker, another WF, caught us of guard and struck us in our home and we still survived. And I'm not saying the tenno wouldnt fail at times, it would just take alot to deplete their resources. Since the tenno just have so many tools at their disposal to allow for an insane amount of different approaches if they were to travel back for some reason. Plus game limitations that you still seem to account for would not be a thing, since this would be "real world" scenarios.
  22. First of, grandfathering shouldnt have to be explained to someone who claims they are knowledgable in development. Secondly. The part I quoted here also implies you arent really knowledgable in graphics and performance. More polygons doesnt mean better. The balance between how the graphics look and the polycount matters. Also, in WF things need to render over and over and over throughout a mission, while in your example the mobs are rendered and done for the player. You also forget the other important part, that HZD doesnt have near the amount of things going on. Spell effects, destructables, loot rolls tied to mobs and destructable items, A.I calculations in far more mobs and so on. All things that impact performance. And all of this, even when we play solo, must be designed to also work the same in multiplayer, since that is an option within the game. Restrictions that HZD and several other games you bring up doesnt have to care about.
  23. But neither of those scenarios are valid. Because none if it works that way. Wally hasnt happened in the past, so ripples from the void would not happen in the past, so scenario three wouldnt be possible. Albrecht needs to discover it to unleash Wally to begin with and as a future cause of that are the ripples across Sol. And scenario two would also not work, since we straight up need the heart. While the void is timeless, Deimos itself isnt and it is not resting in the Void either. Which means the only way for a scenario to get of the ground is by having it all with us. Since at that point we actually know the limitations, everything else would just be speculations on how it could be, but we cannot know since we dont have access to that knowledge. Where do you have the knowledge from that specters need resources? Protea and Revenant aswell as others are perfectly fine after all the years that have passed between the old war and our awakening. So a single specter could in essence work until it dies from getting killed. And Warframes always replenish energy, otherwise we wouldnt start every mission with a starting pool based on "capacity strain". Preperation is also a good solution to this if needed, since PSF wont be a cheese mod because in a real setting self damage is very likely a thing. No fuel in RJ, the engine is powered by the void. Which seems to power the rest of the ship aswell. We use void power to use the systems, draining our frames even. How would earth know about WF weaknesses when not even the corpus or grineer do? I mean, you are currently in meta-GM cheese territory by applying your knowledge about the game instead of what the world would actually know. OP said fully stocked, so that would imply we have access to everything upon departure from tennotime. No, we wouldnt need to be in them. You need to stop thinking about game mechanic limitations. Think quest Protea, given a duty from Parvos, or even simple, junction guards. Just because the game A.I is limited it doesnt mean the specters would act like that in the real world. Again, fully stocked according to OP.
  24. Grandfathered Warframe? What are you talking about? How bad is your lingo? Grandfathering refers to how WF needs to cater to older generations because it isnt built with a clean slate every update as opposed to HZD and all other one-and-done games that are built on a clean slate. And no your comparisons are flawed for that very reason, since you are never comparing, you are demanding. "WF needs this!", "WF needs that!", which would be utterly stupid to say if you actually grasp why WF can never really get that which you ask for. FFS, you've even been at the end of the pool where you demand WF to be turned from a loot farm game into something more like HZD. And not only once, but in practically every thread you ever visit and type in. Solution for you is, do not play WF. Your video also shows no particul density in content, it is rather scarse, not very effectful either even if it is all bosses at once. Even a tactical shooter like Outriders has a far higher avarage density than that, and it doesnt come even remotely close to an avarage mission in WF, where you kill atleast 100 enemies per minute that require constant spawning over and over. But your examples have nothing in common with WF except for being 3rd person action games really. Reducing WF to the miniscule amount of mobs you present here would change the game into not-WF. So those other devs arent more passionate or dedicated, they just work on a different type of game. I mean, currently you are actively dev bashing, nothing else really. The tilesets in TF2 are dull. Every video you have ever posted of it has been a sleeping pill. Especially when you were going to showcase the "superior A.I" of it in comparison to WF. An A.I that by your video seemed both deaf and blind, running the opposite direction of gunfire and friends dying while also never watching their back. Which is also in a game that is supposed to be a tactical shooter, not a horde slaughter game like WF. And while they might do human and titan great, that is only because no other game has really done it. Vehicle and infantry gameplay is overall already done several times better in Battlefield aswell as Arma, and pure mech gameplay is best done in the Mech Warrior games. TF2 is just CoD with light mechs, but it cannot shake the CoD taint. Heck, BF2042 did fantastic mech gameplay, which actually put it to the test versus tanks and air units aswell.
  25. Yep, that would very likely solve it.
