Oreades Posted October 11, 2019 Share Posted October 11, 2019 (edited) Eh.... last time I felt compelled to vote in the Golden Joystick awards was back when they where giving out free copies of the new X-com (1 not 2).... this time around they're just handing out free ebooks..... some of which they are touting as 1st edition..... which IMHO outside of hardbound physical releases means abso-heccen-loutly nothing other than "the measure of which to determine this is outdated". So while I do like Warframe and DE, I just don't care enough about this particular popularity contest that's likely to turn out Fortnite and whatever that stupid looking Kojima game is called for every heccin category. Nor will I be watching anything from the golden joystick awards for the same reason that I don't watch the Oscars, I don't need to see industry stroking industries back/ego. If anything interesting happens (another "don't you have phones?" or Ninja cringily trying to get people to floss moment) I'm sure it will be compartmentalized and slathered all over youtube for ease of convenient consumption. I mean maybe if Emperyon was actually out I'd jump on it...... but the fact that is apparently a category for best expansion (at least according to this thread) kinda makes me extra want nothing to do with this.
