Why I don't really enjoy Warframe anymore

i just go over "some" of your stuff since some feel like i would go far to off topic or could write other stuff about it which would not help in the slightest...

again, i was talking about that umbra was japan only, NOT a Umbra Vs prime thing.

by similaritys. Again, In diablo 3, you dotn have really a "super deep grind" for something you want. Sure it has a bit of a grind but look at PSO2 as sample where you have to kill 1 boss several times to get just ONE mats out of it which you need 200 of them as one sample...(same with the RNGs and Mats in warframe could be said)

play ranger or gunner (as i do) and than you know. Pressing "Z" (by default) actually changes the game into "actual 3rd person-over the shoulder" mode. pretty handy.

easy coz a lot people forget about: every plat in the game you trade maybe just for a prime part has to be bought from another player with real money first. sure, you can now count the "start plat" every new placer gets (is it 30 plat? yea i guess it was 30 plat) but those cant be used for trading anyways if i remember right. So yea, again:

EVERY plat you get was PAYED from another player FIRST with REAL MONEY anyway. a lot people tend to forget about this fact.

i duno if this was a joke or srs coz i actually laughed about it for what ever reason.

I was nto talking about fairness, again, i took a sample which is somewhat similar, you dont need to feel offended by it just that i named PSO2.

ahmen to that but than DE should learn to listen what peoples say and what ruins their game somewhat. As i said, look at what i wrote about the RNG stuff, the varity content and how wrong it is or unfitting, corner of the game just "half done" and stuff like. Even if i took away the "PSO2 sample", i still brought points on the table DE should REALLY take to heart there.

Yet we got something instead of excalibur umbra prime they got something instead of excalibur umbra but thats not the same as cutting big chunk of content

Similarities? Well then grind you say? In warframe either u pay not worth it amount of plat for normal weapon like idk seer or farm it from boss you cant buy it from other players like in PSO2 also detron which drops from zanuka hunter you cant buy at all you can only drop parts for it where in PSO2 you could just buy it from player shop

Play Ranger or Gunner? Why dont you play Railjack and then say warframe is space ship shooter? Thats the problem with comparing 2 things
Either we agree to compare whole as a whole or we only pick 1 aspect of a game where rest of the game have not so much to do with each other

Nah im well aware of plat issue but u see thing is i dont need to have plat to give you mods i like 50 copies of which would help you start the game or if i drop some prime part i dont need or dont see any value in and could just straight give it to u for free
Try doing that in PSO2

Well was meant to be both just to prove a point and not to offend you but make someone laugh by a chance

Oh its hard to offend me and im not warframe or pso2 defender i just dont see it fit to compare to each other
In same way you cant compare minecraft to another like minecraft lets you play with group of ur friends or random ppl where warframe just lets u play with 3 random ppl at once
Yet warframe have better means of modding ur equipment
AGAIN hard to compare 1 aspect of 1 thing to another if you forget or leave out other things and that just dont feel right

Hey i think you finally understood im on ur side here i didnt say ur wrong i dont like what is happening to warframe either
I see many things to improve and very little simple things could fix ALLOT in warframe
But yet we are not in charge and i believe many things are there for a reason even stupid RNG

Its kinda same way as if we say "when i will have kids i will let them do what they want" and that changes so dramatically when you actually have kids it should be illegal to even say that

Anyway we can argue all day here i just want to say i dont like you comparing PSO2 to warframe since i know issues of both and you just pick good stuff as examples leaving bad stuff how about PSO2 should learn from warframe how to deal with premium currency and trades? You see thats my point 1 good thing cant erase many more bad things we dont speak of (not like oh my he insulted my dear PSO or dear warframe but more like omg he is saying chick is hot yet he miss the part her brain is dead)
And in the end i do agree with all u said bad about warframe it should be fixed and ATM warframe feels ultra unfair and lacking something and we can only throw ideas at de how to fix it and its up to them if they listen to us or not

Spring-Loaded Broadhead was what I had in mind when I wrote that. It's been available in PvE for most of it's lifespan (introduced in Update 17.0, PvE enabled in Update 17.9), but couldn't be acquired from a Sentient until Update 21.4.

That said, I don't know if that's just a mod that fell through the cracks, or if DE was intentionally holding out on it. I think most of the other mods that were PvE-enabled in Update 17.9 successfully got added to Sentient drop tables (although technically Sentients didn't come until Update 18.0).

Huh, I obviously don't remember all the details from that long ago, but I'm fairly sure they've always been very consistent in that regard, i.e. making the "dual mods" acquirable through PvE gameplay, too. The earliest Conculyst wiki page lists that mod, as well: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Conculyst?oldid=1155580

If it wasn't available for a while (although I don't remember that) then it was probably a bug somewhere -- much like they routinely enabled weapons in PvP with PvE stats by mistake.

I'm curious, do you think there any other examples? In any case, we definitely agree that rewards are a touchy subject around here.

I felt like I should share this on here, just to see if others feel the same way.

Note: I don't dislike Warframe as a concept, I like the story and universe it presents, and the movement capabilities are amazing. What I take issue with is mostly the lack of variety in anything. What I mean by this is it feels like all of the content is the same thing, just changed a tiny bit.

You jump around and shoot things. That's every mission. Even the missions where you rescue prisoners give you no incentive to actually escort them, you can just run to extraction (though to be fair, escort missions in any game are absolutely terrible to begin with). At a certain point, even the Warframe you choose doesn't matter in the end, since you could just pick a tank frame with a high-damage and fully kitted weapon and destroy anyways. Updates that present "new" content feel recycled to me, like the open world areas. They all feel very similar, and while they added small things like K-Drives and Necromechs, it's still the same point-and-click adventure game in the end. The story quests are really the only thing I can enjoy, just because they're well written. Other than that, the gameplay is repetitive and stale.

What really upsets me the most is DE's refusal to revamp content that flopped. Remember Conclave? The meme gamemode that nobody plays because it just wasn't enjoyable? Or even the arcade minigames that are so bugged and flawed? I would've loved to have some sort of pvp mode, but since DE couldn't make it work, they're not going to try again. Things like Frame Fighter and Happy Zephyr seem really lazily put together, even though Frame Fighter could have been fun to play. It seems to me that DE would rather stay inside the box they built, rather than spend time fixing or adding things that might spice up the game a bit.

I really, really want to enjoy this game. I did for a long time when it was released, but there came a point when it began feeling like more of a job than a game. It became boring, and progression was frustrating.

But yeah, just thought I would share. I'd like to hear other's opinions, too. 🙂

That, my friend, is what happens when a game lose its balance.

As clearly understandable the game revolves around fights with the addition to certain conditions to spice things up.

When you trivialize the very core of the game, anything you add is just useless, redundant and repetitive.

The fun part in a game IS NOT to defeat hundreds of enemies... it's the managament of limited resources and power in order to do so.

As you described, what is the sense in picking a damage frame when you can clear rooms with a weapon? What is the purpose in taking a tank frame, when you can abuse the shield-gate mechanic for almost every frame? What's the point of using different kind of damage types when a viral slash build just kill anything? Guns over melee? Bows ? CC?

And you can keep making these questions for hours.  It's not that the game doesn't offer variety, it's just that variety is neither required nor rewarded AT ALL.

The whole game just turned into an ultra-easy mode in which you win just by joining, with no tension whatsoever. This results in the game becoming boring, and since utterly easy, to keep rewards economy from falling apart, high repetition is needed. Now you're asked to do boring activities for undervalued rewards and this makes you feel as you're wasting your time... achieving in the end the "i'm just doing chores" status.

Quest missions differ from the rest because they frequently propose new iteractions and situations which at least attempt to bring us out of our comfort zone. And in the meanwhile the narration of the new story distracts us from the repetitiveness of the usual gameplay.

And NO, dedicating more resources in pvp, lunaro, frame fighters and the other arcade mini-games IS NOT how you solve the problem. If else it's just a message from your brain asking you for more adrenaline / more tension-reward time. But this should be achieved in the PVE first.

i dont even go on this again sorry. I explained myself now like 4 times and you STILL THINK its a umbra vs prime thing.

laughs in Monster Hunter World player.

i did say that...like for real. i literally said that railjack feels like a totally differnt game in warframe itself...

again, this is true but as i said, MOST trades are around and with plat. No doubt you can also trade "what ever youre able too" in Warframe and, again, i said i dont like how Sega handles this anyway. Srsly to say i dont need to go on with this topic there.

in that case, since im getting sick of people getting everything now i say and putting it on the gold scale, make a better sample which game you WOULD compare with warframe. Srs to say, i used a sample i P-L-A-Y which comes close. CLOSE. i never said PSO2 and Warframe are "1:1 the same game", i said they share similaritys...

I think you should have read my older threads and what i basicly said. Again, as someone else thought, im not toxic or something, im actually just sad how the situation about warframe "is".

and i said i used a sample and sure know about both games are not perfect. again, dont take ever word people say "literal" aka dont put words on the gold scale. Its like you "wanted" to talk that long about it XD its kinda bugging me right now coz it went FAR MORE THAN off topic as it should be, Nothing personal but still.

eh, its not like my comment i made was basicly the opinion i had before i watched this video, the video basicly was saying what i wrote "somewhat" anyway.

I think it was probably intended to drop in Update 18.0, they just didn't get around to fixing it until much later. I agree that DE have generally been relatively cautious when it comes to Conclave rewards, and making sure Conclave changes don't affect PvE. I think they're pretty aware their core player base is PvE oriented. Trying to vaguely reconnect to the main topic (before all these merges where we try to compare DE/WF to [some other dev]/[some other game] and confuse Japan with China, or whatever is actually going on there...), I think Conclave is one of those things DE definitely wanted to be disconnected from the rest of the game, and are happy to keep it that way. Doesn't mean the mode can't be improved, it's just probably a low risk low reward king of a thing.

I can't really think of anything else (aside from Cosmetics) unique to Conclave that couldn't be acquired elsewhere. To be honest, I thought a lot of the mods were PvP exclusive for a longer period (while PvE enabled), but aside from the Daikyu mod, that doesn't seem to be the case. I do remember old school Solar Rail/Dark Sectors being full of drama, but that was more about who got extra goodies and not so much exclusive goodies. Or something. I never actually bothered with the old Solar Rails (or cared about who held what Dark Sector).

Do I need to tell you about the time in which capture exterminate, defense, rescue, and assassination are the only types of missions? Without bringing out the grandpa in me, I think WF transformed into something bigger than what it originally was.

fixing and improving an 8 year+ AI is not a simple task and which is the one that would make warframe fun , probably imo , yes its not a fact just a genuine opinion

Rng is okay , tho there were times were DE tested playerbase with really really low number of drop chances and yet you see a day when they give you free acolyte mods almost .. DE with their extreme ends i guess its never in between ^^

Talking about 'never in between' it seems theyre changing and tuning it that way of balance it feels , tho a bit late , better than never i suppose

Well, imho the main risk is the rewards structure (too much: community throws a fit / too little: no extrinsic incentive to try), and they've been very careful with it. Other than that, it mostly just requires already existing assets, so that's comparatively low-risk.

And yes, Conclave is very much disconnected, except PvE changes can bleed into it and make it worse. Never the other way around, though. That's because it's built on top of PvE, it's not completely separated, or separated enough.

Yeah, they could've learned from what didn't work well in the old Dark Sectors and iterate on it, e.g. an extremely simple first fix would've been to just cap the taxes somewhere -- let's say -- below 50%. Instead they made an "armistice", hinting at a rework, which by now is clear that actually just translated to its complete removal.

And just to be clear: I was not a big fan of the Solar Rail Conflicts, but I probably would've stopped playing this game altogether in 2015 if not for Conclave 2.0.

They have reworked a lot of old content:

- Removed Raids.

- Removed TX Msiions

- Added to the one game mode noone wants to play: Archwing. And even added space ships to that... and still noone is playing it.

- They also primed all the old warframes for the low price of like 120 USD each.

- Also in the last 10 years, they allow for exactly 0 more enemies to spawn at one time, despite Harware having impoved multiple 1000%
