Why so many peolle hate on Hildryn?

I've seen loads of post stating that hildryn is pointless, yet I can go to ESO or Arbitrations, Steel Path and absolutely destroy everything instantly in most cases, except for perhaps a small handful of enemies, but finishing ESO in lobby with 98% damage output and 0% damage received with maxed Saryn prime rage quit is always fun.

Best takeaways:

Balefire dealing somewhere around 190k damage per shot.

Shields never deplete thanks to kubrow replenishing 1000's ever few seconds (I know mod says 300 but it's clearly bugged). Plus arcane is there for when things heat up. 

Health never goes down because of toxin damage thanks to arcane.

Balefire range is insane and clears whole squads of enemies (through walls too) one shot, aiming is not required, simply look at mini map and fire.

There's loads more but those are best part for me.

I think for most people it’s her 4. It’s really slow, clunky, you can’t cast her 2 during it, you’re stuck using only Balefire.

 

To be fair I can see that, once I get to level 140+ enemies I have to sometimes ration the 3rd as my kubrow can no longer replenish Shields for constant 3rd+4th usage, but that's only the case if I cannot kill all those enemies on time and end up floating more than 30+ or so enemies at all times. Having that said, I've built this for maximum range to obliterate rooms and little work on efficiency.

Haha good old limbo, it used to annoy me loads, not so much now actually 😂

Back when I used to play on xbox and haven't played that frame myself yet and had no idea what is going on 😂

The "people" you run into are either miserable self hating little brats or idiots who suck at this game so damn much all they have to do in this game is say everything sucks no matter what lol.

I've never seen any hate for her? I don't exactly see people praising her, but I can understand she's not for everyone. 

Combined with Gloom, she can be extremely powerful. But she kinda relies on pillage spam a bit, and that playstyle just isn't everyone's jam.

Unfortunately, she's locked behind a pretty long grind, so not many have her.

News Flash! THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY HER!

Fact is, players who complain "Frame X is Useless" most of the times either never actually played with said Frame and/or spend too much time playing with frames like Saryn/Wukong that just makes the game trivial then whine when they play with a frame that is actually balanced and/or requires more than 1 key impute to play.

Hildryn is a great frame and only people who truly dedicate some time to understanding her and love her will know how to actually play and make the best out of her.

Something i learned with my 8 years as a Zephyr main hearing she was pointless/useless, its not the frame that makes the player, its the player that makes the frame.

That's weird, because I don't see loads of posts about Hildryn, bad, good, or indifferent.

Only thing with Hildryn that sticks out for me is that whatever comments she does get, there's a fair chance they'll be trollish comments about her body type.   But even that's rare on the forums now.   Still occasional stupid stuff in chat, but that's a foregone conclusion.

no idea why...I'm using her on Zariman Bounties....I just run around in circles hitting (3) while having a mob tethered to me....keeps them all focused on me and then hit (2)...rinse and repeat....great against Corpus but wipes the floor with Grinner also. hardly bother using (1) and (4)......maybe because she's not the quickest out there...

She is so very powerful situationally, and sort of fun to mod because of weird interactions with her mechanics.

Her gameplay is where she loses me, she is just kinda not very engaging?

1. Another gun, it's a gun. Other guns do the same things this gun does, honestly. 

2. Spam this I guess.

3. Make an aura.

4. Float and fire the gun. Let's be honest you're probably not pressing this a lot anyways.

She's just not exciting to play for me, personally but to trash her as weak is weird though, she is definitely not!

I can think of Warframes that are more boring to play than Hildryn, but she just isn't high enough on the fun list to get a lot of playtime from me.

It does damage, but it also boosts nearby shields for allies, making even warframes that don't care about shields (Valkyr, ect) have a huge healtyh pool. The situations where 3 is tanking Hyldrin's shields are also the situations where pillage will refil her shield pool. Her 4 is good CC at least but I understand why her 2 is restricted; the one thing that stops players going into her ultimate and stunlocking everything forever is being unable to use pillage.


To the topic, I'm in this weird place where I like Hyldrin. I also dislike her: right now you take the arcane that boosts shield regen, or restores shields, or even 'worse' both, stack shields and you have a warframe that is all but unkillable and makes even the squishiest warframes alongside shockingly durable. The big problem that makes me hate her is: I don't see what else you do with her, she feels like Mag does right now. A one-trick-pony. Hell of a trick but... eh.

She literally has 3 seconds of shield gate and then regens shield more quickly than other frames, so she actually can use pillage still. So that can't be the issue.

I never used Hildryn but she always seemed pretty powerful. Like I'm not kidding I thought as a new player that shields=energy must have meant the shields wouldn't regenerate naturally because infinite energy would probably be too strong.

And I was right, because Hildryn mains like you can spam helminth to your heart's content.

Personally I find her great I just don´t really use her much anymore for a few months cus I´m playing other frames and stuff.

 

Also @KIREEK which site is that? I just wanna look at it personally lol I saw my friend sent it yesterday but he said he doesn´t remember.

You had stats for 2020 and then in 2022 you had the website for the 2021 stats, you'll have to wait for the next one which should appear in 2023 with the 10th anniversary.

Yeah I´m aware of 2020 and 2021 stats but not that one.
