  1. 40k has many flavors. Orks are Mad Max, Tyranids are biopunk, Space Marines are space knights, Tau are real robot, and the Imperial Guard are absolutely dieselpunk
  2. Granum actually surprised me in this event First off, one of his tenets is "charity is power. More charity is more power." But this event revealed what his definition of "charity" actually is. It's evil, but it's a neat reveal But that was nothing compared to the second reveal. At first we are meant to see him as a corrupt banker who uses his tenets of charity to whitewash his image. But after a few runs of Disruption I got a rare voice line from him and he let something slip:
  3. If a company goes back on their word to keep doing something, meaning they will now stop doing that thing, yeah there's plenty of backlash If a company goes back on their word to NOT do a good thing, meaning they will now do the good thing again, not really seeing why there would be backlash
  4. I agree with everything except "dieselpunk." Dieselpunk encompasses "Warhammer 40k's Imperial Guard" and "actual real life world war 2," not Warframe
  5. Absolutely ridiculous, having to kill the same boss over and over this many times If I was theoretically in a solo clan, it would only take 90 runs to max out Gargoyles Cry. 90 runs, for a solo player to max out an event balanced for 5 to 10 people It takes 170 Orowyrm kills to grind out enough Pathos Clamps to complete your inventory This is absurd, these numbers just should not add up this way
  6. Ooooooh, now that's interesting. Specter usage should be tracked, but not as "Warframe's played," that's just asking for getting nerfed at the wrong time in the wrong way
  7. Is this seriously a thing in Canada? Mobs of angry customers if you propose this? Because I truly don't believe it would cause any issues down here in the states
  8. You'll hafta get in line, they're already settling a case with the Devil May Cry series
  9. Usage means exactly that: USAGE. As in taken into missions and used against enemies. Not ownage, which is seperated and as you point out is much more easily tracked
  10. This isn't a hard and fast rule. Latron has both Wraith and Prime. Braton has both Vandal and Prime. Strun is another Wraith + Prime
  11. With how intricate DE's data collection usually is, I would be very surprised if they can't figure out how to exclude Deep Archimedes from usage stats
  12. ...this is news to me. I love both the Corinth and the Corinth Prime. What's your problem with the Prime?
  13. This works for Incarnon Genesis weapons and I agree, but we're going to be out of luck for Incarnon non-Genesis weapons. Stuff like the Felarx and the Onos completely change weapon categories (respectively, shotgun -> dual pistols and pistol -> arm cannon)
  14. This would have been a gigantic "no!" back in the day, because DE deliberately designed the good drops to all happen in Rotation C (20 minutes/waves), meaning the entire meta would have devolved into taxi bots who solo the first 10 or 15 minutes and then invite all the real humans inside It's less relevant now in the age of void relics, I am not sure how many missions other than Sanctum Survival still have any good 20 minute rewards This used to be the case for certain missions (I think Jordas Verdict?) before it was later patched out I don't agree with the specific stats you proposed (free +20% to health AND energy pool? Kinda powerful) but the general idea is a big yes for me
  15. Sadly not actually true. High usage stats are a sign of efficiency, not fun I assure you, given the choice between a genuine fun frame, and a truly unfun frame that completes missions 15% faster, the unfun frame will have the highest usage stats guaranteed
  16. Just don't shoot the messenger, especially when they agree with you
  17. Dante's nerfs were the exact opposite of a stealth nerf. They were widely broadcast on video and intricately explained in patch notes
  18. Documentarian My point was: DE does not want it to happen, and they hold 100% of the power. So getting these changes reverted is effectively impossible. You can post as many reasons as you want, as much logic as you want, but it won't do any good. Because you're in a situation where DE actively refuses to listen. I do not see that changing in the foreseeable future I wasn't even part of this thread initially, I was responding to another thread that got merged here
  19. Yeah, you know what, let me step back and say this: I'm sorry for the antagonism. I genuinely believe has designed the game where you don't just try every weapon, but also keep them. Going back years with things like Arbitrations, Rivens, Invigorations (sort of), Duviri, and now Deep Archimedes have all seemingly reinforced that paradigm But if that's not feasible for you, either for financial reasons or just you not thinking that content is fun, then it's not your fault and I should not be insulting you for it. And I do believe there should be some way for you to unlock Elite Archimedes without a dice roll IF you have the builds for. You were correct about that. Someone else here mentioned a weapon renting system like in Duviri, I would love to see DE try to implement that
  20. I hate to say it, because I can appreciate the effort, but I'm honestly not impressed. If this is all a genderswapped frame turns out to be, I don't feel any hype for it I hope you keep modeling though, the result came out clean
  21. You seem to be under the impression I'm some sort of classist whale. No I just had the good sense to grind everything in the game before Deep Archimedes came out. I don't think I've spent a cent on this game in abotu two or three years (but would have to check my bank to make sure) Duviri came out a year ago, almost to the day. If you didn't take that as a sign it was the time to go grind out your missing weapons, I don't know what to tell you. You saw the warning signs, and you didn't heed them? That's on you
  22. Unironically yes. Why wouldn't it be? It's what you signed up for. Deep Archimedes is literally the last possible thing you can access in the game. You might as well ask me "bro really suggesting I play levels 1 through 7 before playing level 8?" ------ I never said MR, that was you. I just said "If you're in a position where grinding weapons is a problem" with no mention of MR. Any problems you have with MR are yours alone I literally do not perceive the problem like this. First: As mentioned above, Deep Archimedes is meant for players who have played everything else already. You farmed it the first time, you knew how easy or hard it would be to get back. You knew the cost of a Forma. So if you threw anything away, that's on you. Second: It's not like the time window is super strict. It's 128 hours. Weapons cost 12 hours to craft, farm it up to 30 on Hydron or ESO (you can access those, right? You're not just rushing to Deep Archimedes without doing everything else first, right?) two or three times, you can get that weapon back by Thursday if you really need to ------ The impasse is complete, absolute, and immovable. To wit: Players want LoS gone DE want LoS to remain There is no compromise, or negotiation, or convincing. DE are the pharaohs, and you are not. The discussion of Dante's LoS ends there whether you like it or not (and I'm not telling you to like it)
  23. Oooh that is a good point I didn't think of, that's a great idea
  24. I think your argument has a noble sentiment but falls apart in practice First in foremost, if you're in a position where accessing certain weapons is a genuine difficulty, you're not far enough into the game for Deep Archimedes. Just full stop. Come back in three months and try again. Secondly, your argument partly relies on the bad faith that I'm telling you to keep the MK1-Bo AND the Bo AND the Bo Prime, waste a whole three weapon slots -- which is patently ridiculous, that's why you're doing it, you need to do it in order to paint me with the "500 weapon slots" argument, when there are less than 200 weapons you need in order to guarantee you satisfy Deep Archimedes. Between login bonuses (4 free slots every 50 days), Nightwave (2 free slots), yearly anniversary (3 free slots after the first year), not to mention all the quest items that don't take up slots And if you still think that's too much... well it's probably because on our opposing views on instant gratification. I will unironically tell you to collect weapon slots for a year, because that's the kind of game Warframe is to me. I'm not here for the sprint, or the marathon. I'm here for the Appalachian Trail
  25. To paraphrase a quote from Dan Olsen: "The players want Tragedy to hit through walls. DigitalExtremes does not want Tragedy to hit through walls. There is no negotiating or compromising, only pharaohs you can pray to." It's not going to happen
