  1. top 5 needing a rework next in no particular order: 1. Valkyr 2 Inaros 3 Caliban 4 Nyx 5 Loki. don't @ me, you already know I'm right.
  2. I wouldn't mind, but most people who don't have a real eye for fashion will inevitably put two very busy ephemeras on and make their frame a walking eyesore: some will also do so deliberately to troll others. the best compromise would be having a separate slot for Body and Step Ephemeras, since Step Ephemeras only appear while moving. IMO that could work with most combos without it looking awful, but then it's a question of how easy it would be to implement and whether or not DE want to do it.
  3. to be fair, it would be a relatively easy fix: all they'd need to do is invent one type of currency that drops during missions where you farm for warframe parts, such as Assassinations, or to use Protea's example, the Granum Void. the shop can be given to an already existing NPC, maybe Simaris for example, and he can offer each individual part BP of these different frames for a set price. weapons as well, if people like. it's maybe not the most exciting or elegant solution, but it would only require adding a shop function to an NPC and creating 1 new asset in the form of a dropped currency: way less work than inventing an entirely new NPC AND a currency to go with them. while I'm relatively confident that we'll keep getting pity shops and/or Dojo rooms for guaranteed parts in addition to the farm for new frames, I have my doubts that DE will go back and add this to older frames, but I guess we'll see. a good opportunity to prove me wrong would've been changing Hydroid's acquisition with his rework: I've yet to meet anyone after 8 years of playing that actually enjoyed running Vay Hek's fight over and over again, but at least now those who put up with all the shouting will get a strong frame out of it.. eventually.
  4. you already know the answer, in your heart of hearts; the current system is too profitable for DE to change, and they aren't responsible for other people's addictions. it's not gonna change. are they though? you say MVP, I say they've got a problem.. and farming Kuva is now less efficient than just doing Nightwave/SP Incursions and just buying Kuva in bulk. work smarter not harder, as they say.
  5. I know that we share some of the same death animations as humanoid enemeis like corpus crewmen, never seen my frame eviscerated though, even if it was a slash proc that killed me. usually you have to be solo with no external revive option (no Sacrifice Sentinel or Last Gasp for example), to actually die as opposed to entering the bleedout state. nowadays though it's pretty hard to actually lose a revive, unless you're new, running completely unfamiliar loadouts, or are having a SERIOUSLY bad day..
  6. I get the whole not liking puzzles thing, I myself prefer my in-game problems to be solvable with copious amounts of shooting and slicing, but there has to be SOME other stuff to do in order to break up what would otherwise be a pretty monotonous experience: plus when it's time to fight things again it's enjoyable, like an extra reward in itself sometimes, especially if you're getting those sweet, sweet red crits... mmm.. red crits..
  7. I imagine his first board meeting as CEO will go something like this: Employee: "alright Mr Sinclair sir, we have the financial data for this quarter going up on the board, is there anythign you'd like to add? Steve: "lighting. we need more." Employee: "um, sir?" Steve: "It's not bright enough! I want our entire building to be running on the most powerful LED's money can buy! get me the number of the cheapest electrician you can find. I don't mind if he rips a little copper wire out of the walls on the side, as long as he makes it so that people who walk into our office think they just got flashbang'd at a rave, he's worth every penny!!" Employee: well I suppose that's reasonable enough... Steve: "and pink shorts! pink shorts are going to be part of your work uniforms now, and don't be afraid to wear tight ones, our player base LOVES plump a$$es. we know because Wisp prime sold higher than every other prime access combined. Employee: "even in winter... and even though we're in Canada?" Steve; "ESPECIALLY in winter!! pink shorts are NON-NEGOTIABLE!! make it happen!" Employee *sigh* ok... is there anything else...? Steve: "yes. Give the players Universal Vacuum, I don't care if Pablo has a heart attack, I need to get the players on side!" "Employee: and our shareholders? our business strategy going forward? anything regarding those, sir?" Steve: "yeah give them pink shorts and LEDs too, whatever, what time is it, 2PM? fetch me a beer will ya?" *cheeky a$$ slap that's probably not really appropriate in the workplace these days.* the weakest unpaid intern at DE after Steve takes over:
  8. idle animations and prime ability visuals aren't high priority fixes, I think the reason Wisp got it was because she was the newest Prime at the time and a lot of people had bought her: gotta make sure those who pay are treated right after all.. I'd love to see more lore for Garuda, same for Baruuk and Hildryn. I hope DE haven't forgotten about the Leverian again...
  9. I don't know much about coding, but it seems like one of the most stressful occupations there is. code seems to just behave how "it" wants to and will break it's own rules sometimes. the code for warframe has long been compared to a bowl of spaghetti and if a fix means unraveling the entire bowl so to speak, and it's only a small handful of people complaining about it, then of course they won't go through the effort, because the risk likely outweighs the benefit. I do think Pablo could find a better way of explaining these things that doesn't potentially come across as condescending to some people, but he still has a point: taking a programmer out of action for a month to fix one bug that doesn't affect a majority of the playerbase isn't really feasible, and if the "fix" causes even more problems, then what? people can say it's making excuses and being lazy etc. but at the end of the day, risk management and balancing costs is essential to keeping a business running.
  10. the wiki is probably your best bet, as well as asking people on here. I myself know most of the main bits, but there are more dedicated lore followers who have dug up every secret in every update. if you want to write a fanfic, I think there's actually a section for it here...
  11. well, we already have Lua, the Void, the Derelict, the Necralisk and the towers in Railjack.. but fortunately for you we are getting a new Entrati-themed tileset in the next major quest update that looks pretty stunning. you can see it in the Whispers in the Walls demo.
  12. I've been saying it for years and will continue to say it; WE NEED A RELIC KIOSK! I don't care whether they are converted for ducats or void traces, or something else, but I have literally thousands of relics and I'll never open or sell them all in my entire lifespan, so a way to convert them into something more valuable would be a godsend.
  13. I prefer drifter because it means no cringey operator voice lines. and he's got better fashion. having him melee would be interesting, but that'd be one less thing for warframes to do as well.
  14. "Don't be ridiculous dearie! MY stories are far more entertaining; mainly because, as exciting as they are, they also ACTUALLY happened! now come on, sit down with your dear old grandma while she tells you the thrilling tale of "the genocidal tea party of Lord Kashtun-Ra's Second Birthday!" for real though, I actually LOVE the Grandmother stories, both of them. I didn't think the Dagath one would be darker than the Three Abominations tale, but it totally was! I'm hoping that this is going to be a yearly tradition where she tells a new tale every halloween!
  15. giving players more XP for assists is a terrible idea, and that will just encourage even mroe AFKing. the affinity works fine, ESO is still an amazing power-leveling spot and you can carry less weapons to make the one you're using level up quicker. Ancients also have no armor and are fairly easy to kill, you can block the grapple, and run Zenurik/energy pads/Arcane Energize, so even if ancients hit you, you can get it all back instantly. unless you know exactly what you're gonna be up against, I don't see why you'd use any of those mods instead of Adaptation, which needs a little time to work but will cover you against ALL elements as well as physical damage. IMo frames that use elements should already have high resistance or immunity to the same element (Ember being fire resistant for example, Frost being immune to cold procs, etc.) an easy fix would be to allow Punch through to work on nully bubbles; then people would be likely to mod for it, and you could sacrifice a mod slot for the ability to shoot them dead quicker. as to the Voruna example, the problem is that Nullies are suppsoed to work on all frames on some level, they aren't tailored to stop specific frames, which would probably be a better approach (Comba/Scrambus units are much closer to this, as they can only affect one type of ability at a time.)
  16. if dagath or grendel prime don't interest you, then probably not. I'm mainly waiting on Whispers in The Wall to drop, the Abyss of Dagath was a welcome farm/distraction and brought a lot of much-needed QoL updates. I'd prefer updates like this to happen more often, but that may not always be possible. in the meantime I have Borderlands 3 and whatever games crop up on PS+ Extra to keep me occupied.
  17. a few hotfixes ago, there was an issue where it'd throw you into a normal group even if you were on Steel Path; it's fixed now, but that had an impact on matchmaking at the time. maybe it's to try and wean people off of relying on PUGs. Lotus: "you're going onto a really spooky ship." Tenno: "oh no, darkness how spooky... I always kill the lights in Sabotage, it's more fun that way!" Lotus: " you're going to be retrieving cursed tablets called Defixios" Tenno:"pfft, debuffs ain't nothing to worry about, I ran the Dragon Key Meta." Lotus: "there's no matchmaking, so no randoms to carry you" Tenno: *feminine screaming followed by hiding behind Nav Console." live Operator/drifter reaction:
  18. Bulky Golden Lotus Kubrow* everyone wanted the biggest, baddest dog, and you probably had more chance of getting a Legendary Core from a Sortie than getting a kubrow which met ALL those criteria. given the technology in the warframe universe, I'm pretty sure Eugenics would be at a point where you could easily select specific traits in an animal. we could add "amateur Geneticist" to our long resume as well.
  19. that's cool, I'm in no rush to get it now, just want to make sure I get it whenever it becomes available. I don't want to set up a twitch account for the sake of one weapon, just as long as it's available at some point is fine by me. I can wait. was curious how good it is, since it looks like it was supposed to be released before Aeolak was, and a few people I've seen in radshares have been using it recently.
  20. I wasn't playing much around at the time that the Gotva Prime was offered and I don't have a twitch account, but I know that eventually, exclusive weapons get added into the main game like the Athodai did. only reason I remembered is because I've seen a few people using theirs and remembered I don't have one of those. anyone know how long it took for Athodai to get released? that would be a good frame of reference to see how long before Gotva prime becomes available. not a big deal if nobody knows, just curious. anyone else waiting on Gotva Prime, and those of you that have it, is it any good, or just MR fodder? feel free to discuss.
  21. I mean, I kind of get it, but this is one of the prices you might pay when you consent to matching with randoms. plus it's a slippery slope: it'd only be a matter of time before people say "I don't ever want to be matched with Limbo" or something like that. best compromise is for the saryn users to compare who has the highest power range for spores and let them do the spreading, and focus on using melee and AoE to help spread their spores across the map: a Saryn is only as effective as the amount of enemies she infects, so if you aren't causing the disease, at least help to spread it! ...and maybe don't take that last piece of advice literally IRL lol.
  22. YES. the crazy part is, I FELT this potential when Scarlet Spear was active: it really felt like we were all coming together as a community: the (visually awesome looking) event relays were full of noobs and vets alike, and they were actually getting along! vets would tell newbies about sentient damage adaptation and newbies would fend off trash mobs while vets used their more powerful gear to kill Condrixes faster. everyone had a part to play and we all came together to kick copious amounts of bony Sentient A$$! it was FRIGGIN GLORIOUS!! one of my favourite periods of my entire time in warframe! I thought "if this is just a TASTE of the war to come, this is gonna be amazing!".. and then... it all just fell flat on it's face.. and then DE twisted the knife again by saying Scarlet Spear won't come back.. I JUST WANT A PROPER WAR WITH THE GODDAMN SENTIENTS!!!
  23. my best guess is maybe OP is trying to show people how to set out a post correctly or something? to be fair, some of you guys really need to learn these skills, especially paragraphing, nobody likes walls of text.
  24. yeah, I'm thinking about this too; I'm 3 Bane of Kullervos off from having a duplicate to subsume and I plan on using it on both Ash and Atlas (apparently it works with Landslide, which will be a LOT of fun), but I reckon I might keep Shuriken just because it's a nice spammable ranged ability that can strip armor with the augment, but even without, it's almost-free slash procs. Teleport will get the axe, but hey, that's what happens when powers need augments that badly to be good. man, I can't wait for the day Kullervo gets his first Augment.. it'll probably just be utility based, but I'm still curious.
