  1. This frustrated rant born from watching one's most loved passions be twisted into near-unrecognizable mockeries of themselves, kinda like sitting down for dinner with serial killers wearing the faces of your closest friends... This is why gatekeeping is a good thing. On another note:
  2. I tried again in a couple relic missions, this time with Excalibur Umbra and this build: I also unequipped a companion just to be sure that wouldn't somehow count as my kill. From the moment the mission began I only used his Slash Dash. I pressed absolutely nothing else. On one mission I got all the way to extraction, got the relic crack and the expected mission rewards. In another mission I got all 10 reactant but intentionally chilled away from extract until my squad completed the mission. Normal everything. That's two auto-move abilities so far that, when used as the sole means of movement, appear to prevent the afk timer. However, there are two variables I can think of in Slash Dash's case: Slash Dash might be considered a weapon kill, even though it's a statstick ability with its own massive list of caveated interactions. (Because of course it has one.) The sliding near the end of the ability might count as "authentic" movement. Not sure who else has abilities with forced movement. Garuda, Revenant, Hydroid, Nezha... anyone I'm missing?
  3. Accurate. Primed Shred is the best of the bunch and even then I only slot it into maybe half my builds, as required for whatever effect I'm going for. Primed Fury would be next best if Berserker Fury didn't exist.
  4. Lord help us all if DE made bosses as strong as the accountants:
  5. Well, I just tested this in a couple public capture fissures on Hepit. I loaded in and touched nothing except Xaku's 2 and 4, plus the occasional energy pizza. I obviously didn't crack the relic so I didn't get a prime part but I still got the end of mission relic. Unless dropping the pizza resets the timer, Xaku's abilities did count as movement. I can do better testing when some friends get on later.
  6. well that's some bollocks
  7. It's worth noting that Xaku's 4th ability forces him to jump forward approximately 2.5 meters every single time. I tested this in the simulacrum by placing a waypoint at his feet and just activating the Vast Untime twice. At the end of the second animation the waypoint was 5 meters away. Just to be thorough I did the same thing next to a wall (so the waypoint distance could start at 0m) and also ended up at 5m after two activations. Even if he was only activating Xaku's 4 every ~30 seconds, and nothing else, that alone produces enough distance to circumvent the AFK timer. (Provided he's not againt a wall each time, of course.)
  8. Dethcube is my most used companion by a long shot. With a proper build my Dethcube pretty much never dies, even an hour or more into a Steel Path survival mission. Synth Fiber doesn't merely enable Equilibrium, the mod... wait for it... keeps the companion alive by providing armor stacks and (comparatively) massive burst healing. You don't need any special defensive abilities to achieve this, either; I often use someone like Nezha or Valkyr to stay in melee range the entire mission. Link Armor already exists and it is capable of pushing your non-sentinel's armor well above the 2500 armor your hypothetical armor arcane would provide. Combined with Link Health you've got a pet sporting an EHP most warframes can only dream of. This existence of this thread suggests OP ignorance of the game mechanics. It's not OP's fault, mind you, because the game really does explain itself terribly. For example, this is an absolutely garbage description: A normal player encountering Link Health for the first time might have a thought process similar to this: What does it do? Is it life leech in combat? Do I steal the companion's life? OH COOL MY COMPANION GETS SCALING HEALTH BASED ON MY HEALTH. Is it base health? Is it modded health? Does it actively scale in battle with health buffs? Lets go check it out in-game... I'll just slot this onto my Dethcube next to the other Companion mods.... OH WAIT WHAT? WHY DOES THIS SAME CATEGORY OF MODS NOT FIT MY SENTINEL??? Once you actually DO slot the mod into something it is compatible with you can see immediate and dramatic benefits, but the underlying math is totally opaque. This is a problem that extends to nearly every aspect of every system in the game. Even more experienced players routinely have to consult the wiki to sus out a long list of exceptions, caveats, and a frankly baffling amount of unintuitive interactions. I guess what I'm really trying to say is DE should clean up the mod descriptions.
  9. I don't mind the leveling process, per se, but I would like to be able to install multiple formas at once. I'd much rather dig a weapon out from rank -120 during a couple long missions instead of going 0-30 six different times.
  10. I am in favor of outright removing Banes.
  11. Resurgence is relatively new as of last year. I agree it's a great The single most expensive prime item I know of is Glaive Prime. The set goes for 300 on the market while the BP alone is about 160. As for abandoned promises, you don't need to go all the way back to void keys to find one.... a mere couple of months will do:
  12. We've all been there. I'm no stranger to brain farts either! :)
  13. I also tested this multiple times over the last couple days and my results conflict with yours. I'll upload a video here in a moment. Edit: video uploaded https://streamable.com/3xzvr3 You can see in this video that my damage with this test setup is 530 per shot, pre 50% armor strip from the heat status. Even after letting Cascadia Flare build up to max stacks that damage remains at 530.
  14. This is flat out wrong. Titania's Dex Pixia does not inherent any equipped secondary arcane benefits. I tested with Merciless, Deadhead, Encumber, and Cascadia Flare. The first three did not trigger at all via Dex Pixia. Cascadia Flare does trigger and stack as expected, because any heat source will trigger it, but it gave no additional damage to the Dex Pixias. That said, what does and does not apply to the Dex Pixia is totally all over the map, as I ranted about in a different thread:
  15. MR is a measure of progression. That's literally all it measures.
  16. My perception is that you came here to rabblerouse for your cause; if that wasn't the case you would have sent DE private feedback.
  17. The game should adequately explain itself within the game. "Visit the wiki" is not a good solution. You shouldn't need to externally look up this kind of evergreen checklist that the game already knows. The fact that we have to rely on the wiki to adequately understand many seemingly simple mechanics is poor game design. For example, see Archon Intensify's massive list of included and excluded potential triggers with no coherent throughline: some continuous heals are in while others are out, some heal-based passives are in while others out. It's a mess. Another example off the top of my head is the incorehent treatment of Titania's Dex Pixia exalted weapons. They are an ability so Arbitration Drones are rightfully immune to them, but the Orowyrm is completely cheesed by someone having a Titania along.... despite the wyrm being totally immune to all other abilities. These special exalted pistols ostensibly don't count as either primaries or secondaries so most offensive warframe arcanes just flat out don't apply, but arcanes that affect specifically pistols still function. And oh by the way, while the relic crack buff to secondaries doesn't affect the Dex Pixia, the Zariman powerup to temporarily make all secondaries do only red crits does. Make it make sense, please, I beg you. Swinging back closer to the concerns raised within this topic, there's issues with the weapon naming conventions themselves. The Incarnons appear to follow the riven family grouping. Using this logic, I think we can agree that a hypothetical Machete Incarnon would fit 1) Machete, 2) Machete Wraith, and 3) Prisma Machete. So we have a base name (Machete), a suffix (Wraith) and a prefix (Prisma) that this hitherto fictional adapter could fit. A normal player would see "Machete" as the important part of those names and very reasonably assume Cavelaro could install the Machete adapter on the Gazal Machete - an MR5 weapon blueprint that is easily bought from the market and is cheap to build. Except, he can't install it, because the Gazal Machete is a wholly different riven family, which you wouldn't know unless you've ever tried to put a Machete riven on a Gazal Machete... or just so happened to roll a Gazal Machete riven. There are similar naming issues within the Ninkana family, plus that and the Glaive categories have a base weapon that the entire category is named after, but again feature multiple different riven families. There are quite possibly even more labeling disasaters that aren't coming to mind. Having the game list EXACTLY what the damn thing expects for once is a breath of fresh air. This is a you problem.
  18. Those are not the same stats, but it is indeed possible to get a negative that cancels out one of your positives.
  19. Try either Lu-Yan or claiming bases in the Orb Valis. (The latter is particularly good since you can do it on Steel Path.) These methods are much faster, in my experience. If you hit me up I can tag along to help.
  20. ahhh gotcha. I thought for a moment you were saying you could add "test formas" or something like that. Was curious if I had overlooked something. Thanks!
  21. I'm the opposite; I've been jonesing for more range to give Xaku even more guns. He can currently only hold 16 under normal conditions but that can go to 33 (not a typo) with the ability buff from fissures. Giving him the +100% range invigoration from the Helminth ups those numbers to 22 and 45, respectively. It's quite the power trip walking around with a solid wall of guns. I do not feel as though my sight is impeded by the guns, but perhaps that's because I already swivel the camera to scope out my surroundings.
  22. No, I wasn't joking, we were just talking about different aspects of the ability. You were talking initial cast while I was speaking to effect radius. The confusion in this instance was mine. My apologies.
