That doesn't stop them from trying currently, yes, being competitive and making a good product should be the priority but lately game companies try their best to get higher profit from less effort, it doesn't help when they have the loyalty from fans for no apparent reason in some cases, as I mentioned, I am not against DE personally but I hate when people don't stop to read certain things before saying "thanks DE" unironically.
