The New War: Hotfix 31.0.11

Prime Resurgence has concluded!

Regal Aya is no longer purchasable from Varzia and Aya has been removed from the drop tables and replaced with Nyx Prime and Rhino Prime Relics.

Varzia still resides in Maroo’s Bazaar with a selection of wares. If you choose, any remaining Aya/Regal Aya can be used in Varzia’s post-event shop or can be held onto for potential future Prime Vault efforts. While the future of Prime Resurgence is still being determined, priority in any instance will be to provide options that appropriately meets player expectations for premium purchases.

A full Post-Event and Next Steps breakdown is available here

Changes:

  • Nova's Worm Hole can now act as a one-way teleport for ally NPCs.

    • One of our key motivations behind this change came from discussing the Escort Drone Bounty, and how the momentum at which the Drone paths to reach its objective can feel sluggish for those who’ve repeatedly completed the Bounty. This change to Worm Hole may encourage players to strategically bring Nova to aid in guiding the NPC along its path if they choose to.

      • ** Sorry, Tenno! Got a little over-eager and shipped this work-in-progress change too soon. We have more in the pipe for this - stay tuned.

  • Vaulted the Neo P2 Relic and replaced it with the Neo P4 Relic in the drop tables.

    • The Neo P2 Relic was missed being Vaulted with Harrow Prime’s release.

Fixes:

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when loading into either Orb Vallis or Plains of Eidolon with a squad that contained players who had completed The New War Quest and some that had not.

  • Fixed a Dx12 crash that could occur when lingering in the Pause Menu.

  • Fixed inability to Public matchmake into the Cambion Drift if the squad contained players who had completed The New War Quest and some that had not.

  • Fixed Grineer Outrider kills sometimes not being attributed correctly in Railjack which could result in not getting the drops you would expect.

  • Fixed Railjack Crew members targeting the Grineer Missile Platform Turrets when Piloting instead of the Radiator mission objectives, which when playing Solo understandably caused frustration. As reported here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/s8p418/this_is_how_an_elite_crew_member_pilot_ai_looks/

  • Fixed Kuva Lich/Sister of Parvos Railjack Crew members Health value in mission not matching the values displayed in the Dry Dock. Your Adversary Crew will now reflect the Dry Dock value!

  • Fixed inability to use the Emote wheel in Captura.

  • Fixed Cinematic Mode not toggling when using a controller in Captura Advanced Camera Controls.

  • Fixed volume levels for Caliban’s Abilities.

  • Fixed a script error that could sometimes result in a crash while attempting to kill the last enemy in the Mastery Rank 25 Test.

  • Fixed UI overlap when opening the Pause Menu while using the Polychrome.

hotfix to remove the npc? '-'

Varzia is here to stay for people who still own Aya and Regal Aya.

She is not leaving, as dictated in the latest Announcement yesterday.

This is found here:

I'm confused. Can you clarify what exactly you changed here? Because Nova's Wormhole already worked on the Bounty Drone.

Howdy all, I'd like everyone to take a moment and observe footage as Dojo Spawn Room Colors are not properly staying, and haven't for the past few weeks.

Yes, upon entry to my dojo, the original colors do not show up. Walking in and out of the room, they do not change. Going to a different room and back, they do not change.

However, putting a polychrome down, then they all of a sudden revert back to how they once were. This is only the case of staying in the dojo itself and not leaving.

No, putting a new polychrome and rushing it with the same colors does not fix this.

No, changing one color or the lighting in the room does not fix this.

No, changing all of the colors to something random does not fix this.

No, any and all display options, such as Volumetric Lighting and Ambient Occlusion, are all on and do not affect the room in any way shape or form.

My friends who entered my dojo all had different experiences, some seeing the dark blue hue as seen in the video as the normal colors, and some seeing the basic lighting and normal room colors.

Upon leaving my dojo in the video, all would seem right? Well, you're wrong.

Re-entering my dojo still shows all the colors messed up, again.

Please, DE, look into this, because this is a problem that if anyone else also had colors too in their spawn room, they would be just as furious as me. Thank you so much for your hard work, and hope something fixes this come The New War.

Thanks so much for the hotfix + the changes to Aya and what not!

This bug is still alive and well, and hoping it gets resolved eventually!

Dojo Lighting Colors do not stay in rooms with the new Spawn Point.

No, upon relogging just now, no colors stayed.

No, rushing a new polychrome, leaving, then re-entering the clan dojo does nothing.

Again, hope this gets fixed soon!

As mentioned before, there are still some outstanding Conclave problems that have made it into the game a while ago. The following are just a subset, but they're high on the list:

  • Telos Boltace -- could simply be disabled if not reset to its pre Old Blood behaviour. It's been over two years now. Ragdolls on players should never have been a thing in a mode that limits CC to slows, impairs and knockdowns. In some cases it can even break the maps. E.g. here the player just keeps falling for over a minute until a reset happens:

In other cases one can get stuck in the geometry or even land outside the map entirely.

  • Wolf Sledge -- its throw has it all: very high damage and range, retained the super-fast Glaive wind-up, homing projectile, knockdown, AoE explosions (both automatic and manually triggered) and can melee block while throwing, negating 100% of incoming shots in that direction. Here's an example clip.

  • Fall-off bug. Causes a lot of shotguns and snipers to deal PvE damage (min. fall-off) instead of the originally balanced numbers. Has been reported numerous times over months. Latest here:

    Spoiler

  • Saryn's passive + any electric weapon. A bug introduced with the damage type rework makes it possible for Electric procs to refresh themselves. This gets exploited by some to get an unavoidable damage source which ultimately just kills without being able to do much about it. Especially problematic with AoE like from Castanas.

There are more problems, but these are some of the worst offenders right now. People would already be happy if you just disabled e.g. Telos Boltace and Wolf Sledge if you don't want to take the time to fix the bugs/balance properly.

I guess they made Wormhole work on any friendly NPC, like Kavors on Defection missions.

Edit: Welp, Wormhole was already working on them. It's been so long since i last played defection missions so i forgot the details. Still i think they made Wormhole easier to use for speeding up the escorting missions.

This is an interesting statement. Could the Escort Drone maybe please be sped up as well since it feels sluggish at how slow it moves? If players are incentivized to bring Nova to a bounty just for one objective instead of bringing any warframe of their choosing.

Or maybe even a re-evaluation of all open-world bounties and their respective bonuses so that players do not instantly lose the bonus because they misinterpreted it or it being a too stringent on the bonus or clear condition? Or because the bounty feels very sluggish at how it plays. Two of the most common offenders are the liberate the camp bounty and the bonus of killing no enemies.
