Bud I'm just saying what I'm hearing on the forums and in region chat, lfg chat, qna chat, alliance chat, relay chat, and dojo chat so its true the threats of leaving from a lot of others is true on xbox, pc, and ps (dont own a switch so cant vouge for them)

 

They even sead it was do to the herloom pack that they were leaving some sead indefinitely and some sead they'd come back during big updates like WIYW and 1999

You do know other people are aware of the sunk cost fallacy, right? Just because we are veteran players who have sunk thousands of hours into the game, does not mean we're gonna be like "welp I guess I've invested too much, might as well go down with the ship". There are other games out there, other hobbies, warframe is not the only source of entertainment in the world, and warframe would not be the first game I've quit and never played again. Acting like this game has some magical succubus allure to it is so cringe, just because you have no self control does not mean everyone else is like you or should be like you.

True, but I'd like to ask you to be consistent with what I was replying to. You said they just now revealed they are "all about the money" and I said. No, it was always about the money, because it's a business. Nothing changed about that. What changed is that they decided to use unethical system to sell the packs.

I'd say you are half right. Yes, some of us contributed a lot to this thread, but there are dozens upon dozens of people that droped just one comment and left. It's definitely not bot 80 pages. Most genuine reactions happened in the first half of the thread, when the public outrage was still strong, now it's dying off as usual. Most people are unable to stay outraged and just forget about it. Hence why the second half of this thread is several people discussing.

That is how forums work, yes. But like Cerkius says there are many who have dropped by to leave a single comment and have left. Dismissing or minimizing that as "just a few posters going back and forth" is, idk, pick a word to describe it.

But here, how about this: you can count the number of posters and how many times they've said something. Let us know how many pages are "just a few posters going back and forth" and I'll say that number instead of 81.

Maybe you said something different and I misunderstood? If you're saying this thread is "closer to 15" pages of unique comments (300) and 67 pages of "just a few posters going back and forth" (the remaining 1,700+ comments of this 2k+ comment thread), then I'd welcome you to get counting and prove it. I check this page through the day hoping when I check back in i'll see some changes being made like a bundle of just heirloom items without the regal aya and plat that significantly raises the price for no reason.

Pretty disappointing this is where DE is going. Can't wait for more ridiculous overpricing like a glyph being added to a regal aya bundle or plat bundle with no way to buy the glyph without dropping $30 on regal aya or plat first. Oh wait, they've already done that with one of the heirloom packs! real nice. Obviously you get a little more than just the glyph in terms of actual items but come on, we're so close to it just being a $30 glyph bundle where 99% of the cost is just plat.    
I have some more ideas in line with these price points and bundle locking:

New mining laser skin, get it when you buy the "Mining laser 9000 bundle" that has 1 mining laser skin and $40 of regal aya you have to buy just to get the mining laser skin. That'll be $41. Use the $40 of regal aya to buy a now purchasable with regal aya mining laser!

oh? you have a mining laser already? well this game isn't for you if you can't appreciate buying the same thing you already have a second time but with regal aya tm this time! no buying items separately, get your regal aya tm or get out! if you don't like it then just don't buy it.

But wait! I have more ideas!

Get a randomized kavat when you buy the "Orokin kavat skin tm bundle"! adarza?smeeta? who knows!   Priced at $42 you get $40 in regal aya and if you buy it in the next 2 weeks you get that cool new orokin kavat as a skin from that cool new trailer!

Excalibur prime tm 2! It's excal prime but better because it has a 2 on its face instead of a orokin key.  for $45 you get both a $40 regal aya bundle AND excalibur prime tm 2! buy before the end of the week before he's gone for forever! You get a free base excalibur with the bundle too!

So like... the most I've played of Warframe in the past few days was legit just logging in so I don't lost progress on the Day 1000 Login.
Mainly because I already have some folks counting the days for whatever reason.

But in that time of not-playing-the-obviously-decaying-game-in-the-room?
I was playing other games.

• I can't stand playing with others, they all leave me with naught but a headache with their "opinions" bordering on cogniton-hazard.
• I lose all fun when going into missions ends up with players in Steel Path who STILL don't know the absolute basics of modding.
  • Here's a hint how they got there: Revenant, that's it. That's all they need.
• I'm tired of DE putting these OBNOXIOUS business choices despite the very obvious backlash "How about don't?"
  • Only to be contested by many saying "It's fine man! Don't worry, you got like... 200$ of disposable income, right?"
  • No, that's not satire. Some people genuinely think dropping 200$ on some skins is mentally okay choice.

• I'm also exhausted from having to remember that DE still thinks that Jackal is a cool fight.
  • It's not. It's fun for all of 3 second until you shoot it at random and than it creates laser grids that you have to wait for.
  • God forbid you do a fight against Captain Vor and Lech Kril. That's JUST waiting.
  • Duviri was cool for all of 5 days.
  • Than I got tired of it REAL fast.

DE, when are we picking up the slack?
The Founder Pack was fine. It was a moment of desperation that forced your hand.
You don't have that now. If you're gonna lie to us, at least do it over something worth a damn.

Supporter Packs were- and still are- stupid. Especially when they vanished into thin air after an arbitrary timestamp.
Heirloom Packs are Stupid². You took everything we didn't about Support Packs... and made it even worse.

Do you wanna be seen as that cool group of developers that inspire?
... or do you REALLY want to be a lesser Blizzard or EA?

It's just hard to look at the next two "big promised updates" when I know they'll be as shallow as a single run of Lone Story... solo.
That the future of this game is designed to make things like the "Grimoire Skins" 35$ a pop, with the excuse of "Oh, but they're SPECIAL because you can't NORMALLY use a Grimoire! That's why this is allowed!" so that you preach profits like the very same Corpus you tell us to maim on the daily.

DE think Jackal is a cool fight based on overwhelmingly possitive reception when they reworked it few years back. That's a fact. It's true it could and should be implemented into Duviri much better, but saying it's not a cool fight is not going to change the general concensus.

Subjective. We don't see the metrics DE sees and based on their reactions after they released Duviri it seems they are very happy with how the update went. It's always easy to tell during devstreams when they knew the update was a flop and they obviously think it's a success, so the metrics must show that most people enjoy and play it weekly (myself included).

Comparison to Blizzard or EA is just a cheap shot. You can and should do better.
The amount of filth DE would have to do to reach at least 10% of Blizzard's or EA's power is immense.

I want them to adress it. I want them to be better and not do stuff like that, but these kind of factless emotional reactions devalue any valuable feedback that's been given.

On those points, jackal was much better before the rework, the new one is legitimately harder and more damaging than most of the later game bosses now and youre expected to beat it with Excalibur, mag or volt, and using a bow or braton? Doesn't really seem fair when you have trash like the sergeant still there and still not reworked after removing nef anyo about 8 years ago for a reworked fight that never came. And phorid still being a thing, as well as krill and the hyena pack that are much easier. Ridiculous.

But as you can easily see in this game, the fact that we have such core content like the starchart bosses in dire need of reworks but the games just tacked on unnecessary island after unnecessary island makes it really feel like theres no care left. Just an endless "lets throw some new grind in to keep people here" cycle. Tell you what though  id be much more likely to throw money at a game that fixxed content and made a cohesive and good story that i enjoyed than one just making me grind for no real reason other than fomo or powercreep. I cant even recommend people this game with the messy state and overwhelmingly front loaded content the game has. The price of the supporter packs is way too high for a game this old with bugs and glitches aplenty that only gets updated about twice a year for new "content"

Actually it's not that bad. Around the time it was released I ran the fight using only damaged mods and starter gear just to make sure I wasn't overreacting about how tough it really was... and it was surprisingly easy. Legitimately the only thing I had kill me through the fight was electric procs from those lightning walls that spring up. Those are just a bit too excessive for a first boss fight. But the rest of the fight gave 0 issue. It mostly just looks hard.
I like the jackal fight. It did not need to be in circuit. It feels weird there. But I don't really hate it being there, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I still find it weird to talk about the "precedent" like the worst has already happened. Like, if a pack came out that had an actual gameplay tied item... I would be livid and understand the hate. But if it stays skin packs only, well.... not ideal but definitely not the end of the world either.

I get that DE has been heralded for avoiding this kind of monetization but it's also something literally every other company does and frankly it was a miracle that DE was able to avoid implementation of it for this long. I'd rather this kind of monetization than things like paid battle passes, loot boxes, casinos etc.

Excalibur still makes short work of the jackal. Exalted blade even without chromatic blade pretty much no diffs him just FYI
