Played the Kahl weekly, got a network error at the end, wiping out 30 minutes of work. Gone. Reduced to atoms. ^{Edit: Guess the server hamsters put up enough of a fight to save the progress at the last second}

Can't even log in.

One of my friends is also having the network issue.

 

First I thought it's my internet, but that is working just fine.

 

So what's going on here? Did DE borrow Gaijoob's server hamsters or something?

I can confirm, at least on PC that I can't login or access the website.  I was only able to get to forums, by going directly to them.  I am not sure if they know there is a problem or not though as I have not seen any social media posts about it.

Yup, expected. That's what happens when you inform thousands upon thousands of people several hours in advance that they have a single opportunity to get what they're thirsty for.

How is DDos'ing the servers going to get Cross save to roll out any faster or smoother? if anything it could do the opposite...

Not what they meant.

 

DDoSed, as in, so many people rushing the severs with their cross save requests that they're getting overloaded - like a DDoS attack.

There's alot of players coming back for Cross-Save.

They're probably seeing what the servers would do. 

I'm waiting for them to work out the kinks before I do anything with my account. I'll let the beta testers cause all the problems first.

They announced a 9 hour (or shorter) window for people to get in on cross save, or face a wait until next year. Not the wisest thing they've ever done.

It seems to be the theme for DE since Veilbreaker, not doing the wisest things.

Same here. Could not update account info thingy after a Fragmented exterminate. Then it worked on last try buy got a "could not connect to server" or something while standing in the hub. Then when I restarted it took a while for the initial https route checkup thing to do its things in the launcher.
